New here? I'm Roha — want a quick tour?
Juss456 It's impossible to play, it crashes, and saves don't work ((
How did you even manage to complete it?
by the way, as far as I understand, the Tear of Ashi is located in front of one of the ruined castles of Haven?
Today, I spent 6 hours playing, but now it crashes with any save. Of course, I have everything set to the maximum, and my computer handles it well, but only this map causes crashes.
Regarding the gameplay:
1) Too much creature production from the weekly spawns (this is why I took the "Path of War" perk).
2) I don't understand the purpose of the second hero at the beginning. They give you a Necromancer. It's unclear what will happen with him later, and it's unknown how to develop him. He just runs around the already explored paths, visiting upgrade obelisks. But even he doesn't manage to clear the path for caravans to the castle.
3) I developed the hero for attack, first taking the tent, then finding the Ring of the Magi, leveling up the Ballista, using Summoning + Fire Warriors. Darkness isn't very useful at the beginning, but I kept it, with attack from the Ballista and arrows with fire penetration. And of course, Logistics.
At this stage, I've played the game for the third time. I won't start again for now. Maybe sometime later. The result is still very important. Otherwise, every time I get stuck halfway through, the excitement fades. :smile21:
I couldn't finish the map, almost at the very end; it seems like some script didn't work:
1. The portal near the city of Sangalsal says "Temporarily unavailable." What needs to be done to make it work?
2. In the Dungeon, 4 Dark Elf cities and one Inferno city have been captured. I feel like there's another one, but the path to it is blocked by a script. The hero Cyfra is assigned to this city, and she also can't leave the Dungeon – we're standing face to face and can't fight...
Basically, I need to defeat two heroes – Cyfra and the elf Anwen (I was told about this in the Thieves' Guild...). What can I do???
Now, about the map.
Everything is done very well; it's addictive...
12 months and 1 week have passed since the problem described above; the main character is level 38.
Save files are loaded only after exiting the game (at least that's a good thing).
All quests have been completed (naturally, except for "capture all cities of the Shadow Lords clan") – which means the scripts are working.
Thank you for the excellent maps...
The portal will unlock after capturing all the castles. Nothing is blocked by any scripts. I'll take a look and see what might be the problem. If possible, please send a screenshot of the problematic area.
I downloaded your map. My first impression is that the map is quite interesting, but the save files...:smile21: They crash in 90% of cases. I'll probably have to start over, because I spent a lot of time in the early stages (foolishly clicking on portals, and only noticed in the fifth month that there are prisons with secondary heroes). And the development... It's still better to do it differently (considering some specific features). And another question:
Why can't I kill the unit of plague zombies that stands in front of the hut of the leader collecting taxes? When I hover the cursor over it, it turns red, but when I try to attack, only movement points are consumed, and... that's it:mad:! And the quests are stuck - I can't kill him, and I can't collect taxes from the last peasant. And this beautiful architectural monument stands there, swaying endlessly, and protected from encroachment by the map creator (although I doubt that's what's needed), and the quest is stuck at 75%:smile05:
I played this map back when it was called "Attack on the Traitors," or at least, that was the name at the time, and there wasn't a newer version available. The beginning was quite challenging, mainly because the saves wouldn't load. But that's all trivial: as soon as I lowered the graphics quality, the saves started loading with a probability of about 60%! :smile01:
The plot was engaging, especially the quests were well-done. Some objects had different functionalities, so I had to wander around the portals a bit. But overall, there weren't any problems with the monsters, and fortunately, the particularly strong ones asked for resources to pass.
Overall, the design is quite good. Despite the huge empty spaces, many "zones" are beautifully made, for example, the giant lake in the center of the map.
Unfortunately, I didn't listen to the wise advice of the all-powerful map creator, and when I entered the Dungeon, I found huge armies of Tower and Demon creatures there. But despite the advantage of the latter, I didn't give in to the traitors' persuasion and, with some effort, defeated them.
I have no doubt that all the shortcomings mentioned in this review have long been fixed in the current version of the map, and perhaps I will spend another day playing it again. :)
