I don't have a current map. I created a new one, pressed E, and started creating cameras. I created a camera, what do I do with it next? I save, and when I enter again, the created cameras are gone.
No, that's not the right way to do it. Don't start creating cameras and camera sets right away. Instead, create this entire section of the video, from beginning to end, and then save and reload it. Otherwise, you'll have problems with the display.
I created a new map. I want the hero to have an animation, and as I understand it, I need to specify HeroLink for that. But I can't seem to make it work! Everything is fine with the monster link, but here, something is wrong. I can't explain it all in words. In some places, my map is visible, and in others, it's not, even though the folders are the same! I don't know how to explain it all in words; maybe screenshots will help show what I'm doing wrong.

To make an animation for someone, you need to select them, press 9 on the numeric keypad, choose the dialogue number, the delay, and the animation itself, instead of struggling with herolink and monsterlink.
I have a question: In the videos, in the "sentences" tab, in the second line (after your text), there is something like "sound." That is, a sound that will play throughout the scene as background music. So, if I try to add this sound, in the drop-down list, I don't find any good music (neither battle music, nor game menu music, nor town music), only sounds for various unit actions/mouse clicks, etc. I have configured all of this correctly, just below (next to the effects and animations). How and where can I find good background music?
I read the first few pages and realized... that I didn't understand anything. The editor has been expanded, and a scene has been selected. Objects have been placed (two heroes, a bunch of monsters, and a tomb). I don't understand the following: 1. How do I set up a monster link to a specific monster? Do I need to use the NEW button for this? 2. How do I create dialogues, and does the "text" string have anything to do with it? 3. What does "Relative camera" do? 4. If I delete the "objects" tab, how do I get it back? Thank you in advance.
[Censored] [Censored] [Censored]:smile22:!!! Guys, I... I... :smile05: I lost the video. It was so... so... :smile05: beautiful, so... :smile05: awesome. :smile05: I worked on it for several... several... :smile05: days, and then this... this editor... :smile05: deleted it:smile05: (poor little handkerchief)! It happened like this: I open the editor, go to my video, and all the sentences (and therefore all the animations, all the effects) are gone. I press E, and only Camera1 remains of all the cameras. It even deleted one of the monsters – the one dancing with the wind:smile30:. The archive of the map shows the same thing. I understand that I can't get it back, but maybe someone knows how to avoid this in the future:smile50:.
P.S. I have a few guesses as to why this happened; I'll list them now, in case it helps:
1) Great discovery:D - before this happened, I opened the map where I had saved the video, but while I was creating the video, I opened it immediately. However, I'm not sure if this is the main reason.
2) Small discovery:D - before most of the video was deleted, I was opening the effects to see which one I needed.
3) The Cameras' Revenge:D :D :D - at first, I created cameras (frames that the camera moves between) named Camera[number], but then I added a monster that I needed for the plot – the one dancing with the wind – and, to avoid image problems, I replaced all the cameras with new ones with different names. Since then, I've been creating cameras named Cam[number], but I didn't delete the old ones. The missing dancer is the main clue supporting this theory, but I think the real reason is:
4) - The Cameras' Revenge killed the video after the Great and/or Small Discovery:D :D :D :D :D.
Videos usually don't disappear; most likely, you're experiencing a display bug, and this happens frequently. The video doesn't actually vanish; it's still there, functioning correctly, and can be found within the map archive for editing. However, it's unfortunately no longer possible to edit it directly within the editor.
Although, I don't quite understand how you were able to "open only the video" without the map... The video is stored within the map archive. If you performed any actions with the editor without opening the archive, it's understandable that the progress wasn't saved.
Ah, so the issue lies with the Big Update. Now everything is clear: only the changes I made to the video immediately after its creation have been preserved!
