I remember trying to complete this map when it was first released, but I couldn't because of version 3.0.
Today, I decided to revisit it and make up for lost time.
I completed it in 45 days, explored the entire map, and got the green titan badge =)
What can I say, a big thank you to the author for the map! And a separate thank you for the videos.
I was a little surprised that Markel doesn't have Markel's ability, and the new undead, for example, don't come to him during the week of skeletons.
There were a few relatively difficult and interesting battles. I replayed the first battle with the demon, but the losses were still significant. I tried to play the entire map with minimal losses, and in the end, I felt very comfortable. The crystal of secrets and logistics were very helpful.
There were a couple of battles with Altgreed the Nightmare - it was terrible. I managed to avoid huge losses on the fifth or sixth attempt. They approach, and on the next turn, they all die. Dwellings were not useful because the fort is far away, and there is not much point. I took the dwarf city easily; the battle was long, but I managed it without losses.
As I understand it, the map will not be edited. I would like to add that the first arena does not work, the fort's guard is clearly too weak (it holds the key to victory at the beginning of the game), and the final demon is too weak. And it's a pity that I just leveled up dark magic for nothing, and I didn't find anything worthwhile in the city.
A little about the walkthrough: First, I didn't understand what Conscience (or whatever her name is) said. So, I went straight to the closed gatekeeper. And the demon was already nearby. I had to go back, and luckily, I had leveled up logistics, so we separated in a couple of turns. By the time I ran back, I had gained a few turns and was able to clear the area.
Now, about the final battle - it was successfully completed on the fourth try. I don't know why. After the battle, the game froze - Markel turned into an immobile pillar, and out of all the buttons, only "start over" and "exit game" with "main menu" worked. Maybe it's just me. In the end, I completed it. I didn't see the final video; maybe there isn't one?
Thank you again for the map. I wish the author creative success.
