I created this thread because I realized that I don't know or remember a lot about the history of the heroes. I'm too lazy to read something somewhere, as I want to get answers to specific questions. Moreover, there are no ready-made answers to some questions. I suggest that we ask our questions here and discuss them, and maybe offer our own versions of the plot, etc.
Here is my question: Did Railag tell Isabel that he was the one who killed Nicholas?

Most likely not. Because Kujin says in the final cutscene: "No, Gotai. Biara killed Isabel's husband and Frida's father. This is their revenge." Isabel confirms this by saying, "My husband! My country! You will have to answer for much!" The others are either mistaken themselves or pretend not to know.
And Biara has nothing to do but shoot fiery balls from her "cannons." If she had revealed the truth about Railag, she would have done much more harm than with gasoline bombs, and her departure would have been truly magnificent.

So, Isabel didn't initially know that the murderer was Agrael, and Godric kept everything a secret – is that correct?

Hmm. Does Godric even know anything about this? He wasn't on the battlefield. This is a contentious point. Isabelle and Godric knew that Nikolai was going into battle, but did they know with whom exactly? Because if they knew that the battle would be specifically against Agrail, then by admitting to Isabelle that he is Agrail, Railag would be admitting to the murder of the king.

However, in Shio Railag, he seems to be speaking either to Biare or Kha-Belehu, referring to himself as Agrail, and all of this happens in the presence of Zehir, Godric, and Faidaen.

Well, the most logical explanation is that they didn't know the name of the commander who fought against Nicholas, or they forgot it.
Or maybe Isabelle stopped loving Nicholas after he turned into a vampire. ;)

Isabelle vowed to avenge the "treacherous murderer, Agrael," but it's not entirely clear whether she knew he had killed her husband or if it was some abstract demon, and she was only going to avenge Beatrice. The latter is more likely. It's as if the queen had never encountered necromancers and the fruits of their activities before. But Marcel, of course, tried his best and turned the king into a puppet for himself, rather than a sane husband for Isabelle.

But in the second campaign, Godric was pursuing Agral, not Biara, immediately after the murder. So he knew who the killer was.

Here's what occurred to me. Godric learned that Railag killed the king only in Shio. And he returned to the Empire from Shio already with Biara. So, he could have easily "revealed the secrets" of Railag's criminal past to her. Perhaps, that's why Railag ended up in prison.

And Biara found another reason to manipulate Frida, getting her father thrown in jail. Perhaps that’s what happened.

The method of manipulation is definitely the main reason, and I just assumed...

Well, she still managed to kill two birds with one stone – she silenced the only surviving person who participated in those events, and also her daughter, who eventually joined the rebels anyway.
Apparently, unlike Laslo and Alaric, Frida has an innate immunity to Subjugation.

I will only say that initially humans, dwarves, and elves were part of an alliance – the Shantiir Empire. Demons existed in parallel. A little later, mages appeared, followed by necromancers; dark elves emerged from the elves. And during the first eclipse, orcs were created by the mages.
