- protects the player if they are killed/infected – dies instead of them (the first player who sends a protection request to the GM in a private message at the beginning of the night receives protection from this role. Exception: Ghosts)
Is this not a giveaway? Or is the protection not displayed?

The role is this way because of the SETTING. After I post the backstory, everything will become clear.
I hope I don't get this role =/

:smile18::smile18::smile18: Suggestion: Replace 50% with protection against one assassination attempt, and 75% with 2 (or 3?) regular protections, or one that cannot be bypassed.

Searches for Eragon; if found, gives him the flaming sword "Brisingr."
ND: -Monitors who his target goes to at night.
So, what is the ND after all? Surveillance or search? I can't say which is better in terms of balance, but logically, it's probably better to make search a separate ND.
-Assign guards – protects the target from physical attacks.
Only from the first one? Or from any?
Are the red ones the mafia? I didn't like that Galbatorix's NDs are limited by mana. I would have given him something that doesn't require mana to use and is deadly. I didn't like the stats. Too many humans, only one half-elf. Are the options of stats being mage/non-mage or mage/dragon/non-mage being considered? I'm just not up to date on the topic, so I don't know what else might be possible.
And it's better to have less randomness, I agree with Yashur. It's such a nasty thing that always favors the already winning side.

Surprisingly, randomness balances things out in the case of Thorn. Otherwise, the city becomes too aggressive.
Randomness, if it's fair, cannot balance anything. Out of 5 attempts to kill Thorn, it might work on the first try, or it might not work at all (and the city will become even "more aggressive"). For example, in game 75, all three of our attempts to kill the "randomly protected" enemies failed (one of the three had only 25% protection), but our random attack killed one of them on the first try, even though it had 75% "protection." No, let's look for other ways to "appease the aggressive city." :smile38:

So, what kind of special ability should it be? Surveillance or search? I can't say which is better in terms of balance, but logically, it's probably better to make search a separate special ability.
It tracks the target. If the target turns out to be Eragon, he receives the sword. Although, I can add a search special ability if you think that would be better.Sesame

Red - is that the Mafia? I didn't like that Galbatorix's special abilities are limited by mana. I would give him something that doesn't cost mana to use and is deadly.
He has a huge amount of mana compared to everyone else, and his regeneration is high, but I can give him a sword, for example. Then I'll remove the Querst spell because it loses its meaning.
