For the first tournament, the main focus will be on the participation of the players. That is, for example, Gynnar, Alex_R, Dust, Catch, Captain, Brennan, vbn, PReDS, and others say: we will play. We want to play the first tournament before March 31st, so that it will be more fun to summarize the results on April 1st! I say: no problem, great, play, we will do everything as planned, we will find a host, and we will also come up with a formula for the ranking, if there are any options for the formula - great, if not - we will take it from the third Heroes tournament. vbn will help us with the table, I hope. All for the joy of our dear and respected players!
Regarding the formula for the ranking, the rules already state how many points each player receives depending on whether they win or lose, and how many times they have already played against the same player. We can either leave this as is or introduce a new one (since the current system makes it disadvantageous to play more than 2-3 times against the same player, and given that there are not many players for the second game, and when there is an opportunity and desire to play, it may happen that the same player is available for several days, so this restriction sometimes hinders things). Also, the fact that the same number of points are awarded for winning against Deep Mike, for example, and a newcomer who has just started playing the second game (although now, with zero online play experience, the ranking and strength of all players will be 0 by default). In general, decide how the ranking will be calculated, either like on the Portal, or something else...
And regarding how to get more players involved, it would be good to come up with some kind of original prize ;) (like a funny inscription in their profile or something original in their profile). I personally don't care about the prize, but for many, this will be an incentive, since the activity of players in the second game (judging by the Portal) is currently zero...
Colleagues, we can actually start playing, and reports can be submitted later. Then we'll create a table and record the results. And we'll calculate the ranking. We have the rules, thanks to Gynnar.
ISQ - 394777828. Report, here's a report. PReDS (green, warlok, barbarian, host) def Gynnar (yellow, warlok, knight) Teleports, 135 (I might be off by a day) Our skirmishes on Teleports can only be compared to a match of 4 games in a row on SlugFest.:) The Barbarian started strong, without Orcs, so he got off to a good start. But he hadn't played in a long time and wasn't performing at his best, so he only managed to break through from his starting town on day 7. He saw that yellow was already heavily attacking blue. He didn't build Dragons, and on day 117, he only had 2 silver. Out of desperation, he remembered Captain's trick from our first game on this map and headed towards red with Hydras, as the chain was in place. At the same time, he started building his second town at a good pace. On day 127, he was just short of being able to place Dragons in 2 castles at once:(. He maneuvered in red's territory, after which he was driven out, but he managed to send a second Barbarian to the teleport for 11 Giants and collect some good power artifacts. When Gynnar finally came to him with Gargoyles, 8 upgraded Minotaurs, and 6 red units, the secondary town had time to upgrade to 9-3, with artifacts giving 12-8, against Gynnar's 6-8. Gynnar had boots, but he carelessly stayed overnight between my 2 towns. The mage killed the Gargoyles and gave the opponent an artifact with -2 morale (it turned out to be a waste of effort, as the Knight had +5, and with it, it became +3), and then attacked with 1+1+1+1 Gargoyles and 4 Black Dragons - an advantage in stats and 2 unreturned attacks from Dragons on my side, + the killed Gargoyles of Gynnar allowed him to win the battle and the game. Once again, I am convinced that pepper is a much better stimulant than beer.:smile42:
ISQ - 394777828. Report, just a report. PReDS (green, warlok, barbarian, host) def. Gynnar (yellow, warlok, knight). Teleports, 135 (I might be off by a day). Our teleport battles can only be compared to a match of 4 games in a row on SlugFest.:) The Barbarian immediately started, without orcs, so he got off to a good start. But he played after a long break, and didn't act very well, so he only broke through from the spawn on day 7, and saw that the yellow player was already devouring the blue player. He didn't place dragons; on day 117, he only had 2 silvers. In desperation, he remembered Captain's trick in our first game on this map and headed towards the red with hydras; fortunately, the chain was in place, and at the same time, he started building his second town at a good pace. On day 127, he was just short of being able to place dragons in 2 castles at once:(. He maneuvered in the red territory, after which he was driven out, but he managed to get the second barbarian to teleport for 11 giants and collect some good power artifacts. When Gynnar finally came to him with gargoyles, 8 upgraded minotaurs, and 6 reds, the sub-hero managed to level up to 9-3, with artifacts he had 12-8, against Gynnar's 6-8. Gynnar had boots, but he carelessly stayed overnight between 2 of my castles. The mage killed the gargoyles and gave the opponent an artifact for -2 morale (it turned out to be a waste of effort, since the knight had +5, and it became +3), and then attacked with 1+1+1+1 gargoyles and 4 black dragons - an advantage in parameters and 2 unreturned attacks from dragons on my side, + the killed gargoyles of Gynnar allowed him to win the battle and the game. Once again, I am convinced that pepper is a much better stimulant than beer.:smile42:
Hooray, PReDS finally wrote a report :) He revived online games on Volde for the second time. As for the game itself, he was very lucky at the beginning, he developed one-on-one, as he wrote in his tactics, in the first game - dragons in his own town, captured a neighboring town, part of the dragons went to break through the teleport (there were djinn), and he successfully took the dragon town in the second game (together with the artifacts, boots and compass), part of them went to finish off the red town (and along the way, PReDS's hero with an army finished off PReDS, although he managed to steal chests and silver right under my nose...). Then, each of us used doping; PReDS used 40% pepper, and I indulged in Heineken beer (but there was a lot of beer, and a lot - because I stocked up thoroughly the day before...). As a result, in the morning, the beer's effect reversed, and I started to play badly (started playing in the middle of the night). And I messed up - there are no words to describe how.... in this half-sleep... In the third game, he decided that he was invincible with 6 red dragons (although he had almost no parameters), and rushed into the dark elf territory against the enemy, without thinking at all that the "owners" might be nearby. That's what happened, and PReDS attacked me with a mage, but couldn't drive me out (2 elves remained), and if there had been another hero with an archer nearby, I would have lost my hero... Then he messed up even more, first he rushed to the teleport for some reason (although the scout he sent forward saw that there was a hero there), then he changed his mind and started killing PReDS's heroes instead of immediately rushing to the castle. As a result, when he got to the castle, he was a few squares short of being able to attack it (just those squares, it seems, when I was moving the hero left and right for some reason). Moreover, in his drunken state, he didn't even think that it was impossible to get close to the castle, because it was clear that he wouldn't make it and he had to move further away (fortunately, his turn was half the map away...). In general, PReDS tricked me several times, killing all my gargoyles and part of the minotaurs, and giving me an artifact for -3 morale, then he attacked with his hero and black dragons, there were fewer dragons, but he could remove the retaliation with gargoyles, and his dragons attacked without retaliation. As a result, he had 3 black dragons left, and I had two red ones, I had to pay off, but the advantage was still mine (logistics + speed artifacts), and since there were 4 green dragons left in the rear, and the castle next to the third teleport was captured, and from there - immediately run and take artifacts and dragon towns... But a heavy head and a beer hangover did their job, the black dragon had a little health left, and for some reason I really wanted PReDS to have 2 black dragons left, and then run away, as a result, I couldn't kill the dragon, and on the next turn, PReDS beats me and kills my hero, and artifacts fell from him like from a Christmas tree :smile09: Hence, the conclusion - half a liter of pepper is better than 7 cans of Heineken, and respect to PReDS for a good game and maintaining fighting spirit, despite the alcohol...
Colleagues, I am very happy. By the way, game reports will not be moderated; I really liked the current, lively description of the game! Thank you, colleagues! We look forward to the next matches!
Wow, you guys are really into doping. Ban both of them for using prohibited substances. :D
Half a liter of pepper vodka and such maneuvers – the result is a victory – not bad, not bad! ;-) But I prefer Dagestan cognac; it doesn't make you feel bad so quickly – it's a mild intoxication, so you can still play – I recommend it. 8-)
You've really inspired me with these two reports to participate in a similar program on Teleporters; well done, the report is excellent! :-)
Wow, you guys are really into doping. Both of you should be disqualified for using prohibited substances. :D
Half a liter of pepper vodka and such maneuvers – the result is victory – not bad, not bad! ;-) But I prefer Dagestan cognac; it doesn't hit you as hard – it's a gentle intoxication, and you can still play – I recommend it. 8-)
You really inspired me with these two reports to participate in a similar program on Teleporters; well done, the report is excellent! :-)
It just so happened that it was Saturday, and the next day was a day off, so we indulged in some doping. :) And in general, both I and Preds (as far as I know him, he came to the Horn tournament, to our St. Petersburg) – we rarely do this; it just happened to coincide. (I started before Heroes, and Preds decided to level the playing field so that I wouldn't have an advantage: D)
First game, semi-final of the Super Cup on HotP. I suggested to my opponent to duplicate it here, and he didn't mind. :-)
Finally, we were able to agree with the opponent and started! Actually, while waiting and anticipating, I really missed my favorite game, as I haven't played online for a while. Besides, my appetite was whetted by the recent report on the duel between Gunnar and PredS, so when the desire to play is strong, victory is not far off. :-)
I wanted to play something old, good, and familiar, so I could relax ;-) and have some fun without stress. For the first suggestion: Teleporters, yellow Sorceress against green Warlock, the opponent agreed! I wanted to play this particular scenario because Gunnar and Co. had recently been discussing it, evaluating the chances of each side... in general, it was interesting.
We started. I was surprised! After buying a Sorceress on the first day, four Warlocks came after her in a row. A problem arose regarding the main hero. On the second day, I cleared everything in the area, collected the chests, which, I must say, were small, bought another Warlock, and then, miracle of miracles, Kreg Hack! But the pace was slightly lost, and money was spent - the Barbarian was only bought on the 3rd day! And the saddest thing is that the guard of the key passage is a Witch! i.e., the initial plan of a rush and clearing this passage on the 5th day fell apart on its own! :-( But, every cloud has a silver lining! There were also Djinns on the teleporter passage, and on the first one - Several! Fortunately, in the hut near the house, near the stone mine, they gave me Bolt, which I immediately taught to all the Warlocks, and each of them ran through 2 Gazebos for 1000 experience! In general, Djinns are a must-have! On the 6th-7th day, I didn't do anything, the main hero just stalled, I collected the loot to put the planned Phoenixes on the first one, I built a chain so that on the first day I could clear the Djinns and pass the Phoenixes to the main hero so that he could go in the direction of -> Attack. :-) since the chests turned out to be small, and I had to dig up a Power hero as the last one, the funds allowed, with an exchange on the market for Rut (I didn't have enough 3 for construction and 2 for buying later), to buy only 3 Birds! Which, with honor, under the leadership of a Warlock with Bolt and 4 SP, dealt with the pack of Djinns without significant losses! As soon as the Djinns were defeated, the Phoenixes fly to the main hero in a chain, hoping that the further guard to the artifacts on the island will be cleared by the ballast in the form of Halflings from the stash, Gnomes, Medusas, and other crap. But on the next day, seeing the Vampire Lords standing there, I realized that I had messed up badly, there were no more Bolts, and it was not desirable to get involved and, probably, lose everything, because the power artifacts were very needed in the battle with the opponent's Dragons! Therefore, I had to awkwardly send the Phoenixes back, and leave the main hero with delays, i.e., a "change" occurred - Halflings and Medusas went to create a commotion near the blue Wizard and it was impossible to speed up, because the Wizard could attack -, 2 heroes were bustling nearby! As a result, the island gave us very good things: a Compass, 3 SP, 2 attack, +2 to everything, although here I still had to sweat in the efforts to repel some artifacts from 1 KD, but other Warlocks with Bolts came and showed them who's who! I also had to give up some money, but the artifacts were worth it, and I needed to pass them to the main hero as quickly as possible, who, meanwhile, captured the Wizard's castle and built a 2nd floor there - they gave Blind! Next was the following. It was planned to attack the opponent's castle at the beginning of the third week, so as not to let him buy Dragons, carry out an upgrade, and other vital operations. We build a chain from the castle to the beginning of the opponent's respawn. We slightly upgrade the main hero, on the first day we pass almost the entire group led by 7 Firebirds and run forward. After 2 moves, we are near the castle, but we don't make it by one cell (I was greedy and didn't calculate the MP - it was a pain, because it was late and I wasn't sober enough to do this boring thing ;-) I stood right next to the castle, blocking the passage, not letting the army pass through. But it turned out that 4 SDs and the rest of the reinforcements, including the upgraded Minotaurs, had already left their native walls. On the next day, the opponent's main hero returns with the entire army, doesn't make it and stops a couple of cells away from mine. The indicators at that moment: mine 13 4 5 (10), Army: 7 Phoenixes, 5 Druids, 4 Unicorns, 80 Butterflies, 16 Grand Elves, the opponent's power 8 4... Army: all Minotaurs, 4 Green Dragons, 8 Hydras, 20-30 Centaurs, and something else. I attack, Blind on the Minotaurs, hit the Dragons with Phoenixes, and that's it, even the morale that the birds dropped was no longer important.
Thanks for the game! I hope to play a second game in the next few days, Ups, I suggest we switch places and play this scenario again. :-)
PReDS (blue, barbarian, barbarian, host) def. Ruff (green, barbarian, bagb) 127, HotSpot.
I swore I wouldn't play on this map, but I decided not to interfere with a new player's learning experience. Only one Warlock came, with 2 gargoyles, and the map mostly features archers. 2 more sorcerers helped. On day 6, I took the Golden Castle, recruited nomads, and got 2500 resources in a cave. I had to trade ore for trolls, and on day 121, I defeated the minotaurs and scouted towards the red player, who is a mage. All the meat is sitting in the Castle until archmages, a hero is wandering somewhere, and no one is lured out of the Castle to fight. I took a couple of chests, captured a couple of mines - then the hero appeared and drove me away - he has an army from the first week - so the rest is in the Castle - never mind, especially since the opponent broke through the orcish chieftains in the center at that moment. I moved the troops in a chain and attacked. Desynchronization, overload, again. We discussed the problem and asked Mike to review the battle, and he kindly agreed. The green player bought his way out. I visited him, bringing my dad with ranged attack, leadership, and an advanced spell from the oasis. On day 126, the green player attacked a unit near his Castle, but on day 127, my well-developed dad took him down. The remnants of the army are dying, the Castle is empty, I have 5 trolls, more than 10 nomads, 20 upgraded orcs, and 70 goblins alive. Ruff surrendered. If he had somehow defended himself, cyclops would have appeared in the Castle on day 127, and the second Golden Castle would have been captured by the red player.
Thank you for the game.
P.S. I don't know if this result can be counted, since a third party - DeepMike - was involved in the decisive battle, and as far as I know, he is not even registered on HW.

This time, we switched sides, and the ore situation was better - I had enough for trolls, but not for cyclops. Again, everything is archers. Jaqueline ran to +1000 experience and ate a chest with 1500 resources - she got a spell on level 3. I took the Golden Castle on day 6 with the help of 3 trolls - regeneration helped, I was upset by the lack of an oasis for the green player. On day 121, I went to the red player with an incursion - I immediately ran into a knight, but I didn't attack, because I didn't remember if it was possible. I caught up the next day, lost a troll and a couple of wolves, because of lightning and magic 2. On day 123, I took the Castle, the turrets killed 3 more trolls, and then a witch appeared on butterflies, thinned out the red wizard standing 2 squares from the Castle with magic, and also drained mana. I finished him off with my dad, and it was just enough moves. I secured the territory. On the left, I saw the blue Warlock, but he had spent his mana on neutrals, and after 2 lightnings for 100 and an ice beam for 80, the Warlock, who had increased his magic level, would no longer be able to take the Castle with 3 turrets. Therefore, I calmly returned the army home, placed cyclops, and on the 3rd week, I went to visit with upgraded trolls and 6 cyclops. Jaqueline is better developed, advanced ranged attack (8 combat trolls in the first round dealt 160 damage to the blue player's trolls), ballistics, more meat - no chance.
Thank you for the game.
Hey, Heroes of Might and Magic players, where are you? Is anyone planning to join an online game?
PReDS (blue, Necromancer, Necromancer) def. Gynnar (green, Necromancer, ???, host) HotSpot 115. Almost everyone complains about how simplistic this map is, and yet they still suggest playing it. We chose Necromancers because we hadn't tried them before. The game progressed normally; I should have been able to deploy dragons on the first week without any problems. Sandro gained 1000 experience and advanced Necromancy, while the Crystal player has a large group of peasants and a horde of sprites nearby. I delayed the conquest by a day, but that gave me an extra three dozen skeletons. Just for fun, I took the maximum experience chest and got expert Necromancy, and next to the Mercury mine, there's another large group of peasants:D. I passed the turn and started thinking about whether to send the barbarian to the desert or try to visit with a hundred skeletons on the first week. But the opponent didn't have a good game and surrendered.
Added 5 minutes later PReDS (green, Necromancer, ???, host) def. Gynnar (blue, Necromancer, ???) HotSpot, 116. We switched sides. The Necromancy didn't go as well as in the first game. There were enough archers, but not too many. I managed to break through with the help of sprites and haste. I went into the desert, took the nomads, broke through to the gold mine, and was preparing to deploy dragons, but the opponent had bad luck again and surrendered.
Hey, Heroes of Might and Magic players, where are you? Is anyone planning to join online?
PReDS(blue, necr, necr) def Gynnar(green, necr,???,host) HotSpot 115. Almost everyone complains about how primitive this map is, yet they still suggest playing it. We chose Necromancers since we'd never tried them. My development was normal; I should have been able to place dragons on the first one without any issues. Sandro rushed for 1000 exp and advanced necromancy, while a crowd of peasants is standing by the crystal, and there's a horde of fairies nearby :) . I slowed down the capture by a day, but got 3 extra stacks of skeletons in return. For interest's sake, I took the maximum exp chest and got expert necromancy, and another crowd of peasants appeared near the mercury :D . I ended my turn and started wondering whether to go as a barbarian into the sands or try to visit the opponent on the first week with a hundred skeletons? But something didn't work out for the opponent and he surrendered.
Added after 5 minutes PReDS(green, necr,???,host) def Gynnar(blue, necr,???) HotSpot, 116. We swapped sides. Such a streak with necromancy as in the first game didn't happen again. There were enough shooters, but not too many. I somehow fought my way through using butterflies and haste. I entered the desert, took the nomads, broke through the gold, and intended to place dragons, but the opponent had bad luck again and surrendered.
Now I understand why Preds doesn't like this map, it depends too much on luck (and I've never had such a streak in two games at once, in everything — money, guards, heroes, resources, and passage guards — never before..) :) In the first game, there were centaurs, butterflies, and other things everywhere; I lost everything I could, there was no sulfur anywhere except the mine + I got a payment slip in one of the chests, and when my strength-build hero with two liches hit the tough teleport guard (I don't even remember what was there anymore) — I decided to surrender. In the second one, it turned out to be even worse :) The chests — not only were they minimal, but they also shoved artifacts in two of them (completely useless ones, at that), again there was no sulfur anywhere + the mines were guarded by two orcs (sulfur and some other one), then butterflies, centaurs and hobbits, and I didn't even have flyers, only skeletons and haste; in the end, by the time I reached the passage, there were almost no skeletons left, and there stood those cursed LotS elves, and considering that, as well as the fact that there was no sulfur or money again, and the fact that Preds wrote in ICQ that he was placing little dragons — I decided not to grind out the game here either and surrendered so we could start teleports...:)
We played for a very long time; my start was more or less okay, I had money, I had a strength-build hero, just no sulfur... On the other hand, the passages for both me and my opponent were freebies (minotaurs for me, cavalry for my opponent), and we both had the same guards at the teleports (cyclopes for me, giants (without that cursed stack) for my opponent). In the end, in the first, the opponent built crows (phoenixes), and I only hydras... On the second week, I rushed to the teleport where I took the dragon town and speed artifacts (red boots and a compass); the opponent managed to kill the blue computer and also took the dragon town, where he got a bunch of cheat artifacts (especially an artifact that combines 3 of Andruan's artifacts (adding +15 overall) and gives Town Portal, and an equally cheat artifact they gave him was the feather :) ) The opponent ultimately managed to build in the dragon village by the second week as well, and on the third week he crashed into me with 7 black dragons, 7 phoenixes and insane stats... It was scary, but my knight managed to slip under the opponent's nose to the top with a bunch of red dragons. On the 7th day of the 3rd week, the opponent didn't rush my castle, but took a secondary one nearby. I took advantage of this, and since I was the host, I moved the growth for the first day on a boat. And then, as Preds said, the long maneuvers began
As a result, I took my castle back for one day (but this day was the 7th day of the third week, so I stole one of my growths as well), then I captured the castles of the red and orange computers, then I just played like a dummy, didn't know what to do, waited to see how Preds would play, and out of boredom ran around capturing mines :) There were a bunch of small skirmishes between losers, and in the end, Preds took back all my castles except one, and my "dummy" (papa), unable to stand such insolence, finally sailed toward the opponent from the last castle. Preds used a paid (or rather, almost free because of the feather) Town Portal to the last castle — the red computer's village, near which Preds just stood for some time, waiting for where I would emerge and deliberately not capturing it (he just stood right next to it, preventing the computer inside from leaving the castle and stealing Preds' mines). In the end, on the 6th day, a battle; stats — mine were slightly higher due to having several times more experience than Preds' main hero and artifacts from two treasuries. Army — minos, hydras, red dragons, griffins and a gargoyle. Preds had inside the castle almost as many dragons as I did — only black instead of red, 7 crows, druids, cursed elves and minos.. In the end, Preds got lucky at first; his remaining elves after my lightning hit with luck, and immediately after, the minos hit my minos with luck (and that was painful). But in the next round, I got lucky; not only did my dragons hit his black ones with luck (without retaliation), but they also breathed fire afterward — after that, Preds had half as many dragons as I did (everything else was killed, while my griffins were intact and I had a powerful but slow squad of hydras). After that came the capitulation....
Well, there's not much point in elaborating on the teleportation anymore. It was a little unusual playing with a Sorceress; I broke through the passage behind the horses a little later than I wanted, and I think that played a decisive role – being able to quickly arrive on the second week to the green player and disrupt their plans. Arriving as a guest on the third week, I almost didn't reach his castle (when reviewing the saves, it turned out that I would have stopped right in front of the gates). The growth was transported by boat, and then the better maneuverability thanks to the boots and compass played its role. All that remained was to stare at the Anduran's shield and regret the teleportation ban. Thanks for the game.
PReDS(barb, barb, host) draw with Dust(knight, knight) in SlugFest, 132. I know we didn't wait for the agreed-upon time for a draw, but this is still a special map. I hope the host will take its specifics into account; if the result isn't counted, well, then I just played the most interesting game on this map. Firstly, it was very nice to learn that one of the best players in the second version, in my opinion, shares my views on what needs to be done on this map. There were plenty of maneuvers in the first week from both sides, and the number of pawns sacrificed to lure the computer to the opponent's castle is countless. I managed to take the Necropolis castle from him for a couple of days, learn magic there with a couple of barbarians, and, more importantly, control his mine, which allowed me to place trolls on the first week without any exchanges. Endless ambushes and retreats with pawns hurt my economy, but they also replenished the army with goblins and orcs. In the second week, the Warlock and Wizard swapped castles. On turn 131, I finally took the Necropolis with gremlins, wolves, and cyclops, leaving the rest in the castle to deter the computers – I lost an orc and a wolf. Dust took the Wizard's castle from the Warlock, taking advantage of the fact that he had no troops after the assault. We agreed on a draw during the game.
Well, we decided to have some fun and mess around a bit! :-)
While waiting for Ups for the second game, I started getting impatient, and after finding out that happiness wasn't happening today, I decided to let loose on the first available opponent — luckily, it turned out to be PReDS! :-)
I won't say my gameplay was exemplary and close to ideal, and honestly, I didn't feel like straining the remaining brain cells that had been pickled over the "birthday" weekend, so I played for fun.
The Knight start was terrible. A good start on this map is half the battle — you need to capture all the important "points" — the mines. Plus, PReDS was hosting and had the first turn, he was leading... With great difficulty, I managed to control the crystal mine and even thought about Paladins... During the game, I miscalculated twice — honestly, I couldn't be bothered and estimated by eye. Sorceress ran the last tile and took out two heroes that were far from useless.
Then, various maneuvers, smart and not so smart. On 1 3 1 we burned ourselves pretty briskly, I decided to take the Wizard castle — a Warlock was sitting there with 1 Giant and various junk. In short, while the Ballista was pounding the walls, he managed to fire 3 bolts dealing 100 HP each — 6 Paladins — just watched with relish as the bolts hit them on the head and they passed into the next world...
Overall, messing around became boring and we decided to play a real game on Teleporters, which is what we're busy with now...
I really enjoyed the game! :-) After SlugFest (that's exactly how the scholars from Buki translated it :-)) playing on Teleporters seemed much more pleasant. PReDS himself wanted to play as green, leaving me with yellow. A decent enough setup, except yellow has a much more likely dragon build on the first week...but it didn't work out this time. I was short 6 sulfur, and there was nowhere and nothing to trade for it — too many resources were generated as gold. Also, seeing that there was plenty of stone around, I invested +500 on day 3, after buying out all the heroes.
Again, it happened that after the native Warlock, the tavern produced 4 Knights in a row. No Barbarians. But I didn't regret it, because after running them all through 1000 experience, I found Logistics on one of them, though it remained Basic until the end of the game. But he didn't level up SP or KN even once.
I pushed forward. I hoped by all means to dig up those unlucky 6 sulfur, thought I could scrounge some near blue's mine, but by day 5 he had already taken everything there. The remaining resources were at the farthest edge — near the Mercury mine, which was already on the border with the opponent, so I didn't take the 7th Knight and instead ran to catch some luck... Then bam, a green hero appeared. I had my entire army near a campfire that I had just taken with my last step, which gave me stones — well, I wasn't going to hoard them. :-) And I had one more move left to go after the hero that showed up. Easily drove off the enemy hero with Archers and Dwarves — a throwaway army.
The dragons didn't come through. Oh well, it's more interesting this way — green shouldn't have them either. Then the dilemma: what to do? On the first week, I backtracked and took blue's castle. Since the dragons didn't hatch, I decided to build a Dock and put the Sorceress in a boat, just in case, hoping to reveal artifacts on the islands, and also to think about an unexpected raid. Later, the dock came in handy more than ever!
At the passage of the native Teleporter, a Pack of Crusaders was stationed from the first week — without dragons, I really didn't want to get hit on the head, so I decided to continue in the direction of Attack. Upgraded the Minotaurs, bought out all the Hydras, passed them down the chain to the Halflings and Centaurs — and ran at the opponent. A turn or two later, I saw his hero already with 1 Green Dragon, Orcs, and some odds and ends. And he was still in the Warlock's hands. I kept running, because 6 Hydras and 8 Minotaurs with decent stats, like 6-4 or something similar, would take him down without issue. The opponent attacked himself — Barbarian 5-3. All attacks were concentrated on the Dragon, the Hydras didn't even engage. PReDS didn't manage to retreat, got a bit greedy apparently, and the Dragon fell. But I also lost almost all my Archers and Minotaurs — well, what can you do, nobody said it was easy — we keep running. It was clear that the castle wouldn't be captured if the opponent bought everything. So I used the Knight growth and the Sorceress at sea. Deftly passed the Archers — well, all those that came at the start with the 4 Knights — plus bought and upgraded the growth, along with Pikemen and Swordsmen. In short, a decent amount of fodder for the second week, with pretty good stats. If I don't win the battle, I'll at least prevent the opponent from developing steadily, trade the Knight's unnecessary fodder for something more useful like Minotaurs, and also reveal the territory, which is also important! At the same time, I took a bit of a risk — I cast Haste 2 hexes from the castle to make it there by day 7 — green was hosting after all. It worked out — they didn't attack, the army was wandering nearby but slightly left and above. :-) In short, having cast Haste, I could just make it to the castle in time, and without dragons, the opponent could hardly do anything. They could only shoot Bolts, but they didn't seem to get them, and the Warlocks didn't have much mana, though it might have been enough. I attack the castle with 22 Archers, 6 Hydras, 7 Swordsmen, 8-9 Pikemen, and 140 Peasants! The defender is a Warlock with Hydras, Minotaurs — 4 Minotaurs (I had killed 4 with my own Warlock's Bolt earlier, firing from the guardhouse at the stone mine near the respawn). In short, the stats left no doubt about the outcome of the battle, and PReDS signed the act of surrender! Thanks, it was interesting! I promise a rematch, but apparently after "Witch Hunt", since I haven't even started the playthrough yet. :-)
I enjoyed the game, and very much so! :-) .... Thank you, it was interesting! I promise a rematch, but it will probably be after "Ohta on Witches," as I haven't even started that yet. :-)
Yes, indeed. Once again, I am convinced that Dust is not only a great player but also a lucky one. He didn't get dragons, but he did get lightning in the chapel. In comparison, I could only raise the dead in the Temple, and in the guild, built out of boredom on the last day, there were no archers. He developed well, but, as is typical for green, he was catastrophically short on sulfur. Even building a Castle with a market in his home village on day 5 didn't help – and even with two markets, he didn't have enough resources. Well, and, of course, after the dragon died due to greed, there were no more chances. Banishing the rogues with 1+1+1+1+1 gargoyles cost 200 magic damage; it was impossible not to banish them, otherwise Dust would easily have captured the castle that I generously provided right on my territory. As a result, he surrendered after the first round of the assault on the starting Castle. Thank you for the game.
Gynnar (green, warlock, knight) def. Brennan (yellow, warlock, knight) 1-4-3. Teleports in Dust's edition...
The beginning of the week turned out to be bad; 9 heroes – and not a single combat unit (and even when I fired one hero (the payment went to him), and bought another mage – again, a non-combat unit appeared in the tavern (the 10th one in a row). There was no sulfur at all, and black dragons were standing guard at the teleport... The only good thing was that the chests were mostly good, but considering the attempt to buy out a combat unit – the money quickly ran out. And, on top of everything, there were almost always elite elves guarding everywhere (gem mine, gnome stronghold, mill, chests, etc.). As a result, I decided to make a folder (or rather, a mommy) – a sorceress (of course, only because of the blessing). She cleared a path, but it was too late, and after that, the second week of the game began... And here, again, there was no combat unit in the tavern.... I didn't even know what to do; I decided to send the sorceress towards the red to at least get some money back, while the opponent was nowhere to be seen... The next day, I was in for another disappointment; I rushed to take money and resources with a rogue in the passage between me and the blue computer, and on the next turn, the computer appeared, killed the rogue, and took the money I had taken back :( ... But, after buying another mage – hooray, a knight finally appeared in the tavern... We immediately fire the hero, build a dragon, buy out the knight, and go to gain experience guarding the village near the castle (I didn't take the first one) and the numerous elves... And the sorceress, meanwhile, captured a village at the entrance to the red computer, bought a good number of knight archers there, and rushed to steal resources from the computer further, but then the owner of the respawn point attacked her, deciding to teach the thief a lesson... But the blessing on the archers, gnomes, and hydras did their job, and as a result, the cavalry, swordsmen, and pikemen with archers were defeated, with only some gnomes and a couple of archers lost... After that, I decided to take the red; there were only archers inside... I took the red computer, stationed my archers there, and rushed upwards... And the knight, meanwhile, with the green dragon, reached the upper village on my respawn point (with the intention of taking it) and suddenly sees the arrogant blue computer rushing to my respawn point, killing the rogue and stealing the money in the passage... We immediately give the dragon to the mage and attack the computer – and it's a failure... The computer, the bastard, ignoring the rules, joined the boars (of which he had a horde in the end) and a lot of halflings, plus birds and golems. As a result, I immediately buy them out and buy the dragon back in the castle of the former red computer. There, I took the village to the right, the sulfur mine with chests, and passed it on to the sorceress, who, having bought some medusas and received reinforcements in the form of a dragon, headed towards the orange computer... At this time, the future folder ran as far as possible from the evil blue computer and simply skipped turns, waiting for new reinforcements; the computer rushed back, attacking the opponent who had finally appeared with a few dragons... After the battle, the computer remained... Then the opponent attacked this computer monster again – and each time the computer remained, and only on the 4th time was it finally defeated... The sorceress reached the guard of the teleport, which was guarded by elite paladins, attacked, lost all the centaurs, the remaining gnomes, all the medusas, and part of the archers... She rushed to the teleport, took the gold mines, an artifact +5 to attack and +3 to defense, and then rushed to the red computer... The folder, having received the reinforcements of the third week (3 red dragons and other units), rushed to clear his teleport. Placing archers in the middle turned out to be a very unfortunate place; only two black dragons could fly to the archers, the rest attacked the red ones, and as a result, one red was defeated there... After that, I cleared my treasury, where I received simply royal artifacts – Andruan's shield and a bunch of other artifacts for stats. At this time, the scout, sent to the opponent's lair, is attacked by Brennan's mage with 7 black dragons and a few gargoyles and rushes towards me... Aha, I think, well, that's great... I defeat the orange computer with the sorceress and a veteran green dragon (let it live), buy myself back in my own, breed a dragon, and buy all the rest, pass the artifacts and the army to the folder, and forward to meet fate... (i.e., the opponent), and on the other side, another reinforcement rushes in the form of 10 elite cavalry and 6 gold paladins, built by me at the red computer (plus the rest of the units, bought just in case). But the reinforcement was not needed; attacking the opponent with parameters of about 20 attack and defense, the opponent's black dragons could not kill even one of my red dragons... As a result, capitulation...
Thank you for the game, and special thanks to the opponent for showing nobility when he gave me the opportunity to finish the game with Preds (interrupting our game for this) and after that, when we continued to play the next day, for the autosave (when, remembering what I wanted to do after saving, I double-clicked on the hero's turn, and the hero rushed to the monsters without an army, and he was still needed there...).
