How many ranged units are left in the fight? There are still like 2-3 people, right? Why can't they put aside their squabbles and position themselves strategically to shoot the last unicorn?

I thought they could position themselves strategically so that their sectors cover your escape options. But if game mechanics don't save them that way, then it doesn't matter.
Yeah. I spent half the match being amazed at the NPCs' actions. They had so many opportunities, and they blew almost all of them. They turned out to be no less useless fools than we were.
