The Battle of Kulikovo
September 21st is approaching – the day when, in 1380, the decisive battle between the united Russian army led by the Grand Prince of Moscow, Dmitry Donskoy, and the army of the Golden Horde's temnik Mamai took place on Kulikovo Field.
In HeroesLAND, this date is marked by the annual festive tournament "The Battle of Kulikovo," which starts on Monday and will last for the entire following week. Heroes of level seven or higher are allowed to participate in the tournament, and their army must consist only of Russian (Peresvet, Russian Warriors, and Russian Battle Wagons) or Horde (Chelubey, Horde Warriors, and Horde Battle Barrels) troops.
All those who wish can now purchase the corresponding packaged units in the Capital Store, in the "Scrolls" section.
At the end of the tournament, the winners will be awarded commemorative medals of the first, second, or third degree, and all thematic troops and packages will be removed.
We remind you that rare artifacts and the spells "Explosion" and "Summon Elementals" are prohibited in the tournament.

Weekly PvP Ranking
The Factions Council has decided to modify the "Duelists" ranking: now it takes into account not the number of victories, but the current PvP ranking of heroes.
In addition, now every week, heroes with the best PvP ranking in their class are awarded with corresponding medals, which are displayed in the hero information window and which can be exchanged in the Tavern.
All heroes who have reached level 10, have at least 1000 PvP ranking points, and have logged into the game within the last month are taken into account.

Factions Competition
To improve combat and political skills, a Factions Competition is starting in HeroesLAND.
The Council of Factions pays special attention to battles involving all heroes, from young to old, but research is also being conducted on other parameters that may be taken into account in the Competition.
Each week, all heroes of the faction that scores the most points are awarded "Days of Immortality" - even if they lose in battles, their artifacts will not break, external units will not disappear, and first-level pets will not die. After that, the accumulated points are reset.
Information about the current state of affairs in the Competition is provided by the Herald in the Tavern.

100 Years of the October Socialist Revolution
On November 7 (October 25) 1917, the October Socialist Revolution took place in Russia, radically changing the world of HeroesLAND.
The 100th anniversary of this momentous event is celebrated with a commemorative item: Sickle and Hammer. Heroes can obtain it in two ways:
1. With a small chance, receive it in any profitable battle on a map throughout November.
2. Guaranteed to receive it as a reward for completing any PvP tournament that started or ended in November of the current year, having played the required number of battles and won at least one of them.

Amulets
An expedition from the Council of Factions, sent to the Lands of the Werewolves and long considered lost, recently returned and brought information about the appearance of a new type of artifact: Amulets.
When worn by units, these artifacts increase their stats in battle. Amulets given to units are unstable and disappear without a trace after some time.
Currently, five types of Amulets have been discovered: Attack, Defense, Health, Damage, and Speed.
It is known that, with some luck, Amulets and their recipes can be found in the New Lands, Relic Caves, Lands of the Werewolves, and with the Free Dragons.

Project Release Anniversary
At the end of February, HeroesLAND traditionally celebrates. On February 20th, we will celebrate the sixth anniversary of the project's release, and on February 23rd, we will celebrate the glorious military holiday.
First, various interesting locations become available during this time: Vampire Bunkers, Scarecrows, Huts on Chicken Legs, and Houses of the Damp.
Second, for the duration of the holidays, the Days of Immortality are announced: even when defeated in battles, artifacts do not break, neutral units do not disappear, and first-level pets do not die.
Third, all these events are celebrated with an old Heroes tradition - the Battles of Patriots. Details can be found here.

King of the Hill
To improve the combat skills of heroes, the Council of Factions has established a new type of Competitive event called "King of the Hill" and has established the following rules for it:
1. The competition is held in the Arena once a week.
2. Heroes fight each other in turn until only one winner remains.
3. Duels are randomly formed from all applications submitted in advance. The next battles automatically begin as the current ones end.
4. Mana and army health are restored between battles in the standard way, so they should be conserved as much as possible in battles.
5. Only those units that can be hired by the hero in his castle are allowed to be used in the army.
6. Rare artifacts are allowed to be used starting from level 20.
7. Starting from level 25, additional artifact parameters, unit Charms, and hero titles are taken into account in battles.
8. For each victory, the hero is awarded a set of Charms.
9. Heroes who win 200 victories in the competition receive a corresponding title.

The first "King of the Hill" competition will take place next Thursday, March 1, 2018.

The Dragonid Uprising
The beginning of the ninth summer of HeroesLAND proved to be difficult. To many dismal events were added troubling rumors from the vicinity of the World Ridge. The very first search party returned with an ultimatum from the Dragonids dwelling there. Enraged by increasingly frequent raids on their nests and constant obstacles in the path of young Dragons toward the clutches, Orgungur and Demogorgon offered all heroes to "lay down their arms," threatening otherwise to burn the Factions' Capitals to the ground.

After a brief meeting, the Council of Factions decided to organize a series of preemptive expeditions with the goal of "forcing peace upon the overreaching aggressor."
The brave souls setting out on an expedition from the Tavern must overcome three lines of defense in continuous battles.
Given the importance of the event, the Council of Factions:
1. Permits participation in expeditions for heroes level 12 and above.
2. Limits the number of attempts to ten for each hero.
3. Does not allow the recruitment of neutral or third-party troops into the army.
4. Allows for both solo and joint expeditions of heroes from different factions with a maximum difference of two levels.

The Council of Factions plans to conclude the campaign before the start of next month. For every victorious battle, heroes will receive a small amount of Gold and a random Charm. In the event of an overall victory, the ten best participants will be awarded Dragonid Tamer Medallions, and the three best clans - Clan Bauls.

Grail. Hall of Names
Another hall has been discovered within the most mysterious structure of the hero castle – the Grail. Upon entering, heroes gain a unique opportunity: to name artifacts, developing the "Name Master" profession. Once an artifact receives a name, it becomes almost a living being and begins to gain experience in its owner's battles, earning new levels and increasing its stats.
The Hall of Names requires payment in Gold or Shards for naming artifacts.
The following are the known features of the "Name Master" profession:
1. Only Creators of level 5 and higher can work in the Hall of Names.
2. The chance of increasing skill depends on the properties of the specific artifact.
3. The amount of experience gained by the artifact depends on the level of the master's profession who named the artifact.
4. The stat that will increase as the artifact gains new levels is randomly selected from a list of possible stats at the time the artifact is named.
5. A named artifact that has reached its maximum level cannot be transferred to anyone.
6. In tournaments and events, the stats of named artifacts are taken into account in the same way as their other additional stats.
7. Clan artifacts cannot be named, and named artifacts cannot be placed in the clan vault.

Research on the Hall of Names and the Grail continues.

September Modifications
1. The HeroesLAND masters have invented a new property: "First Strike." A unit that inherently possesses this property, or receives it from a hero, counterattacks the attacking unit even before the attacking unit deals damage. "First Strike" only triggers if the target has not yet used up all of its counterattacks in the current round. Currently, only the Elder Penetrator and Legendary Penetrator possess this property. Research is ongoing.
2. When creating a request for the Arena, the hero can now define the conditions and parameters of the upcoming battle according to one of the specified tournaments. The following options are available: "Shop Tournament," "Duel Tournament," and "Tournament of First Among Equals." By default, a battle is created without any conditions.
3. Artifacts obtained in the Tavern by exchanging Duelist Tokens have been modified. They now immediately have a name and increased parameters. Currently, this is the only way to obtain an artifact that has both a name and additional parameters.
4. The exchange rate and assortment in the Tournament Token Tavern have been changed.
5. A draw in a PvP battle is now awarded on the 40th round. All units in a PvP battle begin to speed up from the 30th round.

Mechanic Set
The Free Dragons never cease to amaze. Among the loot captured after one of their difficult battles, three new recipes were found: Recipe for the Black Eye of the Mechanic, Recipe for the Ring of the Mechanic, and Recipe for the Thimble of the Mechanic. Careful study of these recipes revealed that the artifacts created according to them form the Mechanic Set, which in battle increases the attack, defense, magic power, and knowledge of the hero by 1, and also increases the physical and magical damage dealt by 5%.

The Fall of the Fortresses
The emergency commission established by the Council of Factions to investigate recent rumors about the Fortresses completed its work just an hour before these rumors became reality.
It turned out that two HeroesLAND races succumbed to the persuasion of the Werewolves and launched rebellions in all the Fortresses. As a result, the Fortresses were captured and surrounded by three lines of defense, two of which are led by heroes of the rebellious races. These heroes are equipped with powerful artifacts that give their troops a chance to turn their target to stone after any attack.

To regain control of the Fortresses, the Council of Factions is organizing an expedition in the Tavern, to which anyone can join, and in which:
1. Heroes of level 12 and higher are allowed to participate.
2. The number of attempts for each hero is limited to ten.
3. Recruiting neutral and third-party troops into the army is not allowed.
4. It is allowed to organize both solo and joint expeditions of heroes from different factions with a maximum level difference of two.

The Council of Factions believes that two weeks should be enough to achieve the set goal. For each victorious battle, heroes will receive a small amount of Gold and a random Charm. The ten best participants in the expedition will be awarded the artifacts taken from the rebels, and the three best clans will receive Clan Chests and Siege Orders - the opportunity to choose a Fortress and set a date and time for its future siege.

2019
In the reporting year, the Factions Council decided to start creating a festive New Year's mood in the heroes a little earlier, on the eve of the new 2019. And so it was done.
Once again, New Year's Trees appeared in HeroesLAND, where players will find Mischievous Cyclops, Kind Grandfather Frosts with their Playful Grandchildren, and Diabolical Snow Maidens. And again, in the Gift Balls found there, you can find New Year's trinkets, masquerade costumes, Armageddon's Blade, and Charms of all kinds.
And again, the creatures inhabiting the dungeons periodically scatter across the map, dropping their Treasure Chests along the way, in which curious adventurers can find the same Gift Balls.
And again, as a reward for any successful battle on the world map during the New Year holidays, you can find Gift Bags, New Year's Fireworks, "Snowman" Sets, and New Year's souvenirs.
In addition to all of the above, a festive "New Year's Tournament" for heroes from level five will be held on the Arena for three New Year's weeks. Format: paired battles with random team formation. Restrictions and rules are taken from the "First Among Equals" tournament. Heroes who take the first three places in each division of the tournament will have the opportunity at any time to invite Kind Grandfather Frost, Diabolical Snow Maiden, or Mischievous Cyclops to visit them.
