The townspeople were already preparing for bed when a strong earthquake disrupted their plans. The Dark Elves rushed out into the street, fearing that their homes might be destroyed by the powerful tremors. However, the earthquake quickly subsided without causing serious damage to the city. The frightened residents sighed with relief. They began to assess the extent of the damage, but suddenly everything around them turned bright orange. A wave of hot air swept through Iroidal, knocking people off their feet. What many had feared came true. A dragon… a dragon had come to set another city ablaze! Its very appearance filled the Dark Elves with terror. They didn't shoot at it or run away. They simply stood there in stunned silence. The outskirts of the city burst into flames within seconds. The all-consuming fire spread to the areas near the center of the city, resulting in a colossal number of casualties... The dragon landed on the central square with a thunderous crash. Only a handful of warriors led by Ammon separated it from the Mother of Darkness. He was ready to burn his enemies, but a bright flash from Alira's spell blinded him for a few seconds. Several poisoned arrows were fired at the dragon, but they all just bounced off him. Khilar tried to attack the dragon from the side, but was knocked down by its tail. In desperation, a goblin clung to the dragon's leg, but only broke all his teeth on its impenetrable scales. Gekasan_RU again tried to burn Ammon and his followers, but Grimbol took the brunt of the fiery blast. The dragon was already confident in its victory, but when the flames cleared, it saw Ammon standing right in front of it, who, with an accurate strike, plunged the blade Gekasan_RU into its eye. It recoiled backward, feeling sharp pain for the first time in its long life. In a fit of rage, the dragon made another attempt to incinerate its enemies, but Khilar, sneaking up from the side, managed to pierce the strong scales with a second blow and cut off the giant reptile's head. The great and mighty Gekasan_RU was defeated!

BACK TO THE UNDERWORLD

The scale of the destruction after the dragon's attack on the city would shock even seasoned veterans. Everything that had been so painstakingly created lay in ruins. Even a small army of goblins, which the dark elves used to destroy with ease, could now easily capture the city. The Mother of Darkness was indescribably enraged by the death of tens of thousands of her servants. She knew who led the dragon to Iroidal and demanded that Cassandra be found at all costs.
Loreley lost many loved ones in the fire, but his streak of bad luck didn't end there. On top of everything else, he was struck down by some ailment. Loreley was too weak to say anything. The healer said it was all due to stress.
Ment’y was much more fortunate. After Aktaragon's attack, his house remained intact. However, it stayed that way until a twilight dragon moved in with Ment’y.
Meanwhile, mika left Eriael's house and headed towards the home of another wounded warrior in need of his help. Feeling someone's hand on his shoulder, he turned sharply and saw a dark elf standing before him, whose eyes were filled with rage.
- What do you want? – asked mika in a raised voice.
- You! What were you doing at that lizard lover's place?!
- What business is it of yours? He needed my help…
