It is extremely difficult to categorize the music in games, and in Heroes in particular, as academic.

To be honest, the only worthwhile soundtracks are in the cities of the Academy, League, and Order of Humans; the battle music is also primarily for these three factions.
Music is the weakest aspect of Heroes 5. There's very little battle music, and what there is feels rather bland.

I don't like the Academy, but I really like their music. Town-Academi, the music of the people is very pleasing to me, Town-Haven, MainMenu-Theme, and the elves also have some good music, Town-Sylvan, but the rest could only be wished to be better; they disappointed me a lot:o

The music for Necromancers with Demons is good. The music for Humans with Orcs is also decent. The rest is just okay.

I hasten to inform you of the most unpleasant news: the developers have hidden two soundtracks from us that should be in the game, but they are not even in the resources! First, in a video that compiled all the tracks from Heroes of Might and Magic V. I noticed an unfamiliar track there, checked the list of names, and realized it wasn't in the music folder. I found it separately on the internet. The same goes for the second one.

I like everything, except for the music in the taverns:smile27: The performance is just so-so for the Stronghold and Tribes of the East, but everything else is fine.

From the original game, I like the Dwarves, Humans, Dark Elves, and Mages.
But I like the music from my mod the most.
