DEATHBED DELIRIUM

Your name is Ilya, you are 20 years old, and you are an ordinary resident of a large city in the CIS.
Life hasn't been particularly great for you since childhood: your father left the family, and your mother could barely support the household. You've lived your whole life in a small one-room apartment on the outskirts of the city, but when you were a schoolboy, you didn't complain much.
You mostly enjoyed studying, even though you weren't an A student. You liked hanging out with your classmates, playing video games, and occasionally going to a board game club in high school.
But as soon as you entered university, your life went downhill. You couldn't get into a state-funded spot, you have no scholarship, your mother's attitude towards you has only worsened over the years, old friends are no longer really friends, and your best friend has gone to study in another country.
Your only joys left are anime and computer games, because you have neither the desire nor the money to go play board games, and occasional drinking sessions with former classmates you've managed to keep decent relations with.
Naturally, because of all this, your social skills have deteriorated significantly, and you've developed depression and self-hatred.
Maybe that's why your survival instinct didn't kick in when your former classmates invited you to a dacha in the summer of 2k20. The thing is, you were sick at the time and feeling frankly unwell. But the desire to escape reality took over.
And that same survival instinct stayed silent when some guy you barely knew offered to try something "unusual" while you were drunk.
You felt the effect of the unknown stamp within an hour. The world began to seem blurry, everything started weaving into patterns... Two hours later, you suddenly felt worse: your temperature rose, and you started coughing a lot with a dry cough, gasping for breath. An hour after that, you were taken away in an ambulance after losing consciousness.
Who knew that you didn't just have a cold, but that terrible virus the whole world is buzzing about?
And so you're lying in a hospital bed in the middle of the night, under a wild trip from psychedelics and with a fever. You feel so bad that you're already losing touch with reality. One minute feels like half an hour to you, and you can no longer even feel your own body. Yes, it seems you are dying. At least, you no longer feel any connection to this world... Your gaze is clouded, and your consciousness cannot string thoughts together. All you can make out are some images intertwining in your head. Well, perhaps this is what the light at the end of the tunnel looks like... Or, on the contrary, maybe this is your subconscious trying to save you – who knows?

KIND IMAGES

Mother

Mother, no matter what she is like and no matter how much she terrorizes you, is always your mother. Only now do you realize how much you love her, despite everything.
Features:
1. Parental authority. Double vote. Not executed on the first try.
AA:
1. Overprotectiveness. Forces the target to stay home all day. Block + isolation.
Ult. Take to the Dacha to Help Grandma. Takes the target out of the game for the entire night and the following day.
Status:

Vladik

Your only true friend from school days, who, to your great disappointment, moved to Poland to study. Even though you write to each other occasionally, you no longer feel the same closeness, leaving a huge hole in you. But now you realize that he was the only one who cared about you, the only one you could count on all this time. Maybe that's why he has come into your head now to save you from the nightmares?
Features:
1. True friendship. Immune to the hypocrite's actions.
2. Reliability. One natural defense against attacks. Upon death, cripples the attacker, depriving them of all AA for the next night.
AA:
1. Help in trouble. Watches over the target; if they are attacked, redirects the attack to himself.

Knight

Your favorite character in the computer MOBA game you've been playing exclusively lately. Strong, just, cool – basically, everything you ever wanted to be. Perhaps all this time you were just sublimating by playing as him.
Features:
1. Sturdy armor. One natural defense against attacks.
AA:
1. Farming creeps on the lane. Chooses one player – for this night he is their support. The Knight learns any one of the target's statuses of his choice and protects them from being killed.
2. Gank. Kills the target. If he kills a townsperson, he loses this AA and his feature. Cannot be redirected.
Status:

First Love

Maybe you should have mustered the courage and confessed to her at the prom after all. Who knows how your life would have turned out then? Maybe nothing would have come of it, or maybe you would have finally found that one person who would have saved you from loneliness.
Features:
1. Regrets. An additional clue is given upon her death.
AA:
1. Sweet conversation. Learns the target's second status.
Ult. Date. Learns the target's full status and gains immunity from their actions for the next two nights.

PSL

Your favorite rapper. You never understood music, often listened to whatever. And PSL is objectively garbage. But his lyrics are simple and relatable to you, so you don't care.
AA:
1. Flip a coin. 50% protect target, 50% block target.
Ult. Spark, Storm, Madness. Throws a concert, canceling all town and mafia AAs that come after the ult, except for checks, as well as the maniac's kill.

Board Games

You genuinely miss the times when you could go to the club several times a week after school and relax there with Vlad and other buddies. Alas, in your first year of university, you gave it all up because of your condition, but maybe the fact that board games came to your rescue in your delirium is a sign that you could try again?
Features:
1. There are many of us, and we are all different! Not blocked or redirected by the maniac.
AA:
1. Game for three. Name 3 players, among them a winner is randomly determined. The winner gets the chance to perform an additional AA (can be different) the following night. The other two players have their AA targets swapped (if a target performs multiple AAs in a night, the first one in order is swapped).
Status:
2D / chill

Waifu

A waifu is a waifu. Even you, not such a big anime fan, have one. And she is beautiful.
Features:
1. Jealousy. If she comes to the First Love, she cancels the First Love's AA for this and the next night, including the ult.
2. Untouchable. Immune to all AAs except kills, checks, and redirection.
AA:
1. Virtual date. Checks the target's first status.

Head Doctor

You didn't even have time to remember his name. You don't even remember what he looks like. But his voice is kind, and you want to believe that he will help you.
Features:
1. Last hope. Can use as many AAs per night as he wants, but they must all be different.
2. Seems very smart. Receives a bonus clue at the start of the day about one of the kills that occurred during the night.
AA:
1. Healing injection. Heals the target.
2. Sedative. Moves the target's AAs in order to almost the very end of the list, before his own healing.
3. Medical exam. Compares the statuses of two players.

NIGHTMARES

Father

Where are you, dad? Where did you go? Why did you leave me and mom? Maybe you have another family? Maybe you have another son that you love and protect? Tell me, do you ever think about me at all?
Features:
1. Vanished from life. If idle, gains immunity to all AAs except checks.
2. Abusive relationship. Immune to the Mother's AAs. After her death, gains a double vote.
3. Greatest fear. Not executed on the first try.
AA:
1. Beating. The target dies the following night. Immune to Vladik's feature. Can be healed on both nights. Cannot be redirected. Leaves no clues. Counts as a killing AA.
2. Murder. If left alone in the team.
Status:
3D / aggressive

Hypocrite

No one actually cares about you. They all just use you, mocking your weaknesses behind your back.
Features:
1. Faceless mass. Not blocked by PSL. The AA target is not replaced by losing at board games.
AA:
1. Murder. By choice, ignores either PSL's and Knight's external defense, or redirection.
2. Call for a drink. Block.
Ult. Treat to a stamp. Blocks the target for 2 nights and 1 day (the target cannot write or vote on that day).
Status:
3D / aggressive

Reaper

She is beautiful and merciless. Maybe you are trying to idealize death so it wouldn't be so scary. It's much nicer to imagine a pretty anime girl coming for you than burning from the inside in agony.
Features:
1. Otherworldly. Two natural defenses against attacks.
AA:
1. Murder, pierces natural defense.
2. Last judgment. Fully learns the target's status.

Monster

It is the embodiment of all your subconscious fears and phobias. You considered yourself an adult and didn't think about it, but it has finally come for you.
Features:
1. Powerful. One natural defense against attacks.
AA:
1. Devouring. Kills the target, healing does not save.
2. Chain beast. Protects a target. Not redirected by the Double.
Ult. Hide under the bed. Kills the target and all who came to them. Healing does not save any victims. Not redirected. The ult does not burn out upon being blocked.
Status:
2D / aggressive

SUBCONSCIOUS

Double

I am you. I know everything about you. Stop running from your fears and hiding behind illusions of the past. Accept your true self, accept yourself as you are. I will destroy with my own hands everything you hope for and rely on, because only then can you become a new person.
Features:
1. Persistent. Two natural defenses against attacks. Not executed on the first try. 2 AAs per night.
2. Omniscient. Checks one of the statuses of his choice for each target of his AAs.
3. Vengeful. If his kill is thwarted due to a block or external defense, he can declare the next night that he is going for revenge. In that case, the target of his kill AA is replaced with the corresponding role that hindered him. He does not learn the player's identity. Cannot go for revenge against Mother.
AA:
1. Murder.
2. Suggestion. Redirects a player to a chosen target.
3. Intimidation. Steals the target's vote.
4. Mockery. Removes one natural defense from the target for the rest of the game.
Ult. Subjugation. Resurrects a player who died the previous night or was executed the previous day, of his choice. They become his puppet; the Double controls all of the target's AAs and votes. Does not work on Mother, Vladik, Head Doctor, Father, and Hypocrite. The puppet dies on the second night after the ult is used.
Status:
Chooses himself at the start of the game.
