I'm also used to observing the ranking system, but what difference does it make what number is in front of the nickname? It's not really important; it's just a way of displaying the information. The ranking is the most important thing!
He was, but his save file took a little longer to check than yours. And that's why his result didn't make it into the preliminary results table. Sincerely.
This won't work. In the future, if a player's result was NOT on the preliminary results, then in the final, his result is NOT VALID. What does it mean that his save file took longer to check? In order to announce the preliminary results, the save files don't even NEED to be checked, meaning for legitimacy of the playthrough - you just need to take his result from there and announce it. You can check the save files later for the final as long as the organizer wants.
This won't do. In the future, if a player's result was NOT among the preliminary results, then their result in the final is INVALID. What does it mean that their save was checked for longer? To announce the preliminary results, the saves don't even need to be checked, meaning for legitimacy – you just need to take their result and announce it. You can check the saves for the final as long as the organizers deem necessary.
Since the first round is over, I suggest that everyone stop dwelling on the past...
As already mentioned, in the first round, the organizers provided some leniency to the players solely to compensate for the "discrepancies" that arose due to the lack of clearly defined rules. This has been explained several times...
Ultimately, all results entered into the table were achieved by the players BEFORE the tournament deadline and passed the check for the use of prohibited techniques.
And that's enough about that. Tomorrow is the start of the third stage. Think about the future...
That's why my post started with the words "In the future..."
In the future, the rules for participating in the tournament will be extremely strict... :) No exceptions, of course... The deadline for completing the second stage is today at 23:59:59 Moscow time... And saves submitted even a minute later will not be accepted. All rules for working with the map are indicated at the beginning of this topic. I think absolutely everything is taken into account there. So, there will be no questions. Don't worry... :)

The rules do not specify the reporting procedure for players. Requesting descriptions, explanations, and intermediate saves from players should only be necessary after the preliminary results are announced. There are also a few things in the prohibitions that are unclear to me: 1. What are these sirens that cannot be visited multiple times, and why? 2. "- weakening non-upgraded neutral armies through repeated defeats." - this point is also unclear ?? Does it mean if there is a neutral army, I cannot beat it over several attempts with one or more heroes ?? And why ?? Or perhaps I misunderstood something?
Yeah, and the point about navigation bonuses is also unclear.
Could you please explain what the bug is,
in case someone accidentally uses it (like me, for example ).
And the point about the Grail in the Conflux is also unclear.
The sentence is worded so cleverly that I don't understand anything.
How can a hero who doesn't have the necessary Wisdom skill
learn magic of the corresponding level?
Or, when the Grail is installed, can the hero learn magic of any level
regardless of the level of his Wisdom skill?
Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth...
The rules do not specify the order in which players should report. It is only necessary to require descriptions, explanations, and intermediate saves from players after the preliminary results have been announced.
I don't argue. But why not earlier? Don't you trust the host? We are simply saving our time - so that we don't have to deal with saves, descriptions, and checking everything at once later; this can be done gradually during the process. Finished the Walkthrough - report. It's easier for the host. What's the problem?
From the prohibitions, I also don't understand something: 1. What are these sirens that cannot be visited multiple times, and why?
There's a bug. Just don't visit them, and that's it. Why explain it to tempt people? :)
2. - weakening un-upgraded neutral armies with repeated defeats. - this point is also unclear. That is, if there is a neutral army, I cannot defeat it in several attempts with one or more heroes? And why? Maybe I misunderstood something?
It means that if there is ONE upgraded stack in the army, it will disappear if you attack the neutrals and immediately run away... This is a bug, and therefore it is prohibited. If there are no upgraded stacks or if all are upgraded, attack as much as you want, nothing will happen... :)

Yes, and the point about navigation bonuses is also unclear. Please tell me what the bug is, in case someone accidentally uses it.
Get in a boat with an admiral's hat, immediately get out, and receive a bonus to movement points. This is a bug. It is prohibited.
And the point about the Grail in the Conflux is also unclear. The sentence is so cleverly worded that I didn't understand anything. How can a hero who does not have the necessary Wisdom skill learn magic of the corresponding level?
I'm also wondering - how? But he does learn it... :)
I don't disagree. But why not do it earlier? Don't you trust the host? We're just saving our time so we don't have to deal with saves, descriptions, and checking everything all at once later. I've already explained it to the host. There should be rules. And it's more convenient for me to report when I know the preliminary results. Are the Tournaments for the players, or are the players for the Tournaments? :) Let's make it optional – whoever wants to report without preliminary results can do so. But if a player doesn't want to say anything without preliminary results, that's fine too.

There's a bug there. Just don't visit it, and that's it. Why explain it and tempt people?
Now I'll find the sirens and go there ten times until I understand what the bug is.
AmberSoler;91660
What is meant is: if there is ONE upgraded stack in the army, it disappears if you attack neutrals and immediately run away... This is a bug, and therefore it is prohibited. If there are no upgraded stacks or if all are upgraded, you can attack as much as you want, nothing will happen... :)
You're saying that if you attack and run away, it happens. But what if you attack, fight, and lose without running away? Is that allowed?
AmberSoler;91660
I'm also wondering – how? But it does teach you... :)
I don't quite understand this yet. I guess I'll figure it out when I encounter such a situation. And let everyone learn if it teaches them. In the original game, everyone is in equal conditions – it teaches everyone, or is it fixed in another version? Too many prohibitions are also bad. You have to constantly think about what you can't do
Then, let it be optional – if someone wants to submit their playthrough description without a preliminary announcement, that's their right. But if a player doesn't want to say anything without a preliminary announcement, that's also fine.
Sure. No one is forcing you to send a playthrough description before the preliminary results are announced. This is a request from the host to save time. If you don't want to, don't send it.
If you write that you attacked and retreated, but if you attack, fight, and lose without retreating, is that okay?
Just don't tell me that anyone does that in offline mode... :) Why lose a battle and lose a hero and army when you can just not attack?... In online mode, I would agree. In offline mode, it doesn't make sense. Don't make things up. Every attack has a purpose. If the goal is to weaken a neutral army in order to defeat it later, that's a violation. If you simply want to "bribe" your way out in order to hire a hero elsewhere, you can do that... But there are key neutrals – they guard passages, artifacts, mines – and you can't do that with them. You can always do a "post-mortem" and figure out the purpose of the attack...
Too many restrictions are also bad. You have to sit and constantly think about what you can't do :)
These restrictions are as old as the world. They have existed in offline tournaments for at least seven years... You just want to make a mountain out of a molehill... Any player who has experience participating in tournaments knows this; if it's difficult for you to remember right away, learn gradually... :) There are no new restrictions or rules here. Instead, the entire list of possible grounds for complaints is listed. If you are afraid of receiving them, understand the rules and don't be afraid. What else is unclear? :)
Sure. No one forces you to send a Walkthrough description before the preliminary results are announced. This is a request from the host to save time. If you don't want to, don't send it.
Understood. Okay. Perhaps, to save time, a player might not want to report on, say, 5th place, but instead just record their result.

Yes, I do this in offline mode, and many others do too. At least regarding the fourth game. Such a situation can occur there.
And I think it's the same in the third game. You yourself said that everything depends on motivation. In Best of Best VDV, he said that you could hire a hero with Meteor Shower. Let's say he is not my main hero. Why shouldn't I attack with small squads and destroy the army guarding the key to the gate, in order to speed up the breakthrough of this army with my main hero??? So, you can keep your logical reasoning and what you think to yourself, and as for you, as an organizer of the Tournament or his assistant, please answer to the point.

Any player who has experience participating in Tournaments knows this; if it's difficult for you to remember right away, learn gradually... :)
As if I don't have experience playing in Tournaments :) It's old, but you can't step into the same river twice. Some play by the old rules, while others try to come up with new tactics, so the question remains; if you are unable to answer, let Kyle answer.
PS. Oh, here's an idea. Organizers and map creators shouldn't put such mixed squads on the map. I've heard such advice very often lately.
Let's say he isn't my main hero. Why shouldn't I attack with small squads and eliminate the army guarding the key to the gate, to speed up the process of breaking through with my main hero? So, you can keep your logical reasoning and what you think to yourself, and as for you, as the tournament organizer or his assistant, please answer to the point. :)
In any case, you can specify the battle tactic. If the upgraded stack is destroyed, retreat. If not, it will disappear on its own, and that's not fair, so it's forbidden... In each specific case, the player definitely knows the goal of the attack... :)
PS. Ah, here's an idea. Organizers and map creators shouldn't place such mixed squads on the map. I've been hearing such advice very often lately.
They decide for themselves whether to be mixed or not... This doesn't depend on the map creator... :) It depends on the coordinates and something else... No one knows for sure.
In any case, you can specify the battle tactics. If the upgraded stack is destroyed, retreat. If not, it will disappear on its own, which is unfair, so it's prohibited... In each specific case, the player definitely knows the goal of the attack... :)
So, it turns out that if you encounter such a mixed army, the tactic of weakening it with a magic hero using powerful spells doesn't work. I just wanted to clarify: if the hero doesn't retreat but honestly perishes in battle, but can't defeat the upgraded stack, will this stack still disappear? P.S. At least I didn't see any explicit prohibition of this in previous official tournaments. Does that mean it wasn't prohibited there?
So, if you encounter such a mixed army, the tactic of weakening it with a magic hero specializing in offensive spells won't work.
What did you expect? To attack a hundred griffons with a not-so-strong army, cast a magic spell on them, and honestly run away, taking a stack of upgraded units with you? And there might be up to 50% of the original number of neutral monsters... This is not a problem with organizing tournaments; it's a problem with the game itself. And it is specifically mentioned for those who like to find loopholes caused by bugs in the game. Now, we will consider this a prohibited tactic.
I just wanted to clarify: if the hero doesn't run away but honestly dies in battle, but can't defeat the upgraded stack, will this stack still disappear?
Yes. As bitter as it is to realize. :) All the remaining upgraded units will disappear after such an attack.
PS. At least I didn't see this prohibition on previous official tournaments. Does that mean it wasn't prohibited there?
Let's solve problems as they arise. In a blitz tournament, you won't have the opportunity to use these bugs. And in other tournaments, discuss this with the organizers. It's all up to their discretion. I'm not going to prove anything; I'm just sharing information with you. Think for yourselves.
Yes. It's a bitter realization. All remaining upgraded units will disappear after such an attack.
This is an interesting point because, in reality, a hero can lose a battle unintentionally, simply because their army is weaker than the neutrals. How can you prove that the participant attacked with the intention of weakening the opponent? Please clarify. It seems like a "bug-not-a-bug" situation. :D
