In any case, you can specify the battle tactics. If the upgraded stack is destroyed, retreat. If not, it will disappear on its own, which is unfair, so it's prohibited... In each specific case, the player definitely knows the goal of the attack... :)
P.S. At least I didn't see any explicit prohibition of this in previous official tournaments. Does that mean it wasn't prohibited there?
