Well, firstly, you need to install the NCF core. Without it, I can guarantee that the map won't work correctly. Secondly, approach the Phoenixes to receive a quest to banish them.
I don't understand how to install this map; I did everything as instructed, but when I launch it, it says either the version isn't 3.1 or the map is missing. I think it didn't work because I didn't have the "green guys" (presumably a reference to a specific unit or faction). It's a shame; the campaign is really great! Thanks a lot; it's even better than the one in Haven. Too bad, I think the last mission is amazing. Haha, reinforcements, but it was just a message; I managed anyway, I created 250 Adepts and Inquisitors using the Halls, and with the Unicorn Bow, they did their job.
Added 6 minutes later Hey, do you have anything else awesome in your style?
The instructions in the first post of the thread explain how to install it. Without the green files, you'll miss out on a large part of the experience, as they significantly affect the balance and overall functionality of the campaign.
Hey, do you have any other awesome maps in your style?
Even though they're not asking me, I'll suggest some maps from last year's contest, which I have linked. Each map has its own link. Also, if you liked this campaign, you can vote for it ;)
Please forgive my delay – I was fixing my desktop computer (yes, it’s getting old =((( ). So, the errors are mainly in the text files; I didn’t have time to create a complete list, but here’s part of what I managed to recover from the damaged HDD: Mission 1 The shipyard doesn’t cost 1,000 gold and 5 wood to build; it costs 10 wood and 1,000 gold; The army near the knights is too strong (dragons)
Mission 2 Grammatical error in the dialogue (But in any case, try to negotiate) Grammatical error in the dialogue (Let us liberate the city, and we will leave) Agreement on mutual assistance (written as “Brown player,” but the text of the inscription is orange) Garrison – can only be upgraded in green, but not back; this applies to all missions. It should be possible to upgrade it as in the regular game, but in 3 versions. Mission 3 But still, I need the key
Mission 1:
1) The city's specialization (Primorsk) provides a discount of 5 wood and 500 gold, but the developers did not provide any way to notify players about this during construction.
2) There are no dragons near the militia units.
Mission 2:
3) This is the exact color
Garrison – can only be upgraded in green areas, but cannot be downgraded back; this applies to all missions. It should be possible to upgrade it as in the regular game, but with 3 types available.
There is no point in this, and upgrading will become free anyway.
I will fix the remaining errors as soon as I have some free time.
Started playing the first mission... well, it's exactly as I expected... it's nowhere near the quality of the developer's campaigns... it's the same old thing in fan-made maps: let's make the battles unfair by limiting your units and resources, and add puzzles that are just a waste of time... where's the depth of the story? Exactly:rolleyes: ...look at the scenarios from Nival)) Here's a town, here's a hero, here's a bunch of resources, develop! And then an enemy hero comes along, or you find him, and there are 3,000 skeletons, and all your progress is gone, you'll be stuck replaying the map:D ...and here, we'll cut off your legs... ta-da, he's crawling... let's cut off another hand...:D ...aha, that's better, now play like that:D :D :D
RedHeavenHero, 1. What do you mean? Let's say you're right, but why was I charged 10 wood and 1 kiloback of gold (which is the standard price for a shipyard)? Even in the Campaigns and multiplayer, in many maps, similar towns work correctly and sell for 5 wood and 500 gold. And by the way, I noticed that this isn't the first map where a custom or similar town "glitches." This is already the 3rd time for me with shipyards =( 2. Sorry, it seems like either a mod influenced it, or there was a bug. I rechecked - everything is correct. It seems like the mods influenced the maps. 2.1. Regarding the color. Did you mean that when attacking, a player with the same color will arrive? Then why not highlight the dwarves' color as 1, and those who arrive as 2?) 2.2. Regarding the garrison - why is it free? The cost of returning the upgrade will be the same. 3. Did I understand correctly that we need to go through the path with the elementals and the keymaster? If so, then the question is - why bother with the race if Andrias will reach the fork earlier and set up an ambush? There won't be enough troops to break through the garrisons, and there are no Astral Gate spells =( 3+4. Story error(!) - it's not shown at what specific moment Menelaus steals the book from Varens. In the 4th mission, Arantir clearly said that he stole it during the meeting, but I never saw at what moment, because there wasn't even a hint. I think it's when visiting the first mage with the quest to find the summoning book (where it's about wolves and glowing eyes). 4. Can you add a hint-tip so that the user can choose the method themselves? I mean, you can do without the monacite sand and without weakening Dominick. Because black magic and necromancy are... even phoenixes don't save. 5. You could give the knight a little more troops, but that's 50/50.
But overall - it's great =) I'm looking forward to the continuation of the campaign with Frida and Duke))) or their children (after all, Wulf and Goth were trolling them xD =))
1. The test map of the shipyard is attached. 2.1 They have long belonged to different players. The one that was on the map from the beginning is orange, and the Grimheimers are brown. 2.2 The green ones are intended not as an alternative to the white or red ones, but as their overall improvement. 3. In some version, I delayed the appearance of Andrias until days 13-10 (depending on the difficulty). Is it still too early? 3+4. I deliberately omitted this point, otherwise it would be too obvious. The Prophet is not an agent of the mages. 4. Once again, what should the user choose between? 5. It depends on the difficulty level and the bonus.
I completed the updated version with a hero in 435 days. It's excellent – simply a classic of the genre. In my opinion, Nival doesn't even come close (see #219). Thanks again to the author.
