"Новичок-2014. Summer"

Greetings to all fans of Heroes of Might and Magic 3, future participants, and supporters of the traditional "Новичок" tournament. And even if you are not a fan of Heroes :eek: , I still welcome you and invite you to the new season. I hope it will bring great games and discoveries of new players.
This is our traditional, already eleventh tournament for Новичок.
We do not have a precise and strict definition of who a "новичок" is. This tournament is for those
- who only recently realized that you can play the favorite old game Heroes online,
- who only recently found out that they are not the only ones who can easily beat computers and that things are not so simple with a real person,
- who recently started playing with more than one or two heroes and building chains...
We do not invite fathers and grandfathers, we do not want to see clones, and would a medal obtained in such a dubious way even have value for a strong player?
The main goal of the tournament is to get to know each other and gain experience in communication and gameplay.

Winners of past tournaments:
"Новичок-2014. Winter" - Aiwe
"Новичок-2013. Summer" - The_
"Новичок-2013. Winter" - высокий
"Новичок-2012. Summer" - twaryna
"Новичок-2012. Winter" - 7z
"Новичок-2011. Summer" - Sky Pioneer
"Новичок-2011. Winter" - Sevensan
"Новичок-2010. Summer" - тенью бездомной
"Новичок-2010. Winter" - Сатир
"Новичок-2009. Summer" - Erdem

Participant Requirements:
1. registration on the HW forum between June 1 2013 and June 6 2014;
2. total experience playing HoMM3 online - no more than 1 year; long breaks in play are discussed individually;
3. absence of strong results in tournaments on HW and other resources (specifically, 1-3 places in previous "Новичок" tournaments or any other tournament, reaching the final stages of major tournaments) - subject to the organizers' opinion;
4. participation prior to this tournament in no more than one "Новичок" tournament;
5. absence of forfeits or withdrawals in other tournaments;
6. availability of time and ability to play 1 game per week (consider the time zone) - priority playing times are considered 19-24 MSK on weekdays and 12-24 MSK on weekends;
7. at least 5 games on the HW forum (can be played before the participant list is approved) with different opponents and detailed reports - organizers need to ensure that you can technically play online and have an understanding of the rules of play on HeroesWorld. Tournament organizers Roger DAltavilla (IСQ 624681987), Iamsamstan (IСQ 435191039) can play with you if you cannot find an opponent;
8. players wishing to participate in the tournament agree to provide any additional information requested by the tournament judges;
9. players agree to the regulations and rules of the tournament;
10. players are required to closely follow all announcements from organizers in the tournament thread.

Organizers reserve the right to deny registration to any player without a public explanation of reasons.
Players who have an earlier or later registration on the forum but wish to play in the tournament may submit an application, which will be considered on an individual basis.

Submit applications in this thread. There is a Detailed instruction with pictures FAQ17 on the forum explaining how to do this.
You need to do the following:
1. Check if your ICQ number is entered in your profile; add it if it is missing.
If it is in your profile, a small green daisy - the ICQ symbol - is visible under the avatar. If not, follow the algorithm.
2. Leave an application in this thread. To do this, click the Sign up for tournament button located at the beginning of this thread and at the top of each page.
3. In the application, specify convenient times (days and hours) for playing and your time zone.
4. 2-3 days before the draw, you must contact the lead Roger DAltavilla (IСQ 624681987) to confirm participation. Players who disappear from the forum (no user activity for a week) will not be admitted to the draw.

Organizational Matters.
1. Leads - Roger DAltavilla (IСQ 624681987), Iamsamstan (IСQ 435191039). Judge - Pit for LM (ICQ 471401475).
2. The tournament is held according to the Rules of organization, conduct and participation in HOMM3 online tournaments.
3. Organizers will make changes to the rules and regulations during the tournament if necessary.
4. For each played game, participants must submit a detailed report and detailed confirmation in this thread. Only then is the game counted. All tournament reports must be written using the automatic report writing system: Detailed instruction with pictures FAQ18.
- To create a report, click the New report button located at the top of each page of the thread and fill in all necessary fields according to the template. After that, write your detailed comments on the game.
- To confirm a report, the second player must find the game report, click the Confirm report button and also write a detailed report.
- It is considered good tone to thank the opponent for the game.
5. All tournament games go into the HoMM3 HW Player Rating.
6. Technical results are assigned for games not played within the established timeframe.
7. Saves and password files for all games must be kept until the end of the tournament and presented upon first request by the leads, judges, or any member of the AC. Forgetting or losing a game password may serve as grounds for assigning a technical defeat in the game.
8. Disputed points, if any arise, are requested to be discussed off-forum. For resolution, you must contact the lead or judge in ICQ and provide daily saves, ICQ logs, and other necessary information.
The same's decision is based primarily on tournament rules. If a situation is not regulated by the rules, judges are guided by basic logic and gaming ethics.
9. The tournament winner will be awarded the "Winner of Tournament 'Новичок'" medal under their avatar:

Regulations.
To be determined later, depending on the number of registered participants. We expect a traditional scheme: group stage + team tournament + play-offs.
So, the number of participants has been determined. Clarifying the regulations:
Stage 1. 24 participants are divided into 4 groups of 6 people. A round-robin tournament is held in each group, where everyone plays everyone else once. 1 point is given for a win, 0.5 points for a draw, and zero for a loss. The 4 people with the best results advance from the group to the next stage. Result criteria by order of importance: 1) points earned, 2) Berger coefficient, 3) result of head-to-head meeting. If these criteria are insufficient, players will be offered a system of tie-breaker games. If that also fails, democratic judicial discretion will be applied.
Stage 2. Tournament of novices against veterans. NP vs LM More details in post №3
Stage 3. Play-off. Starts on August 11 2014. Conducted via an Olympic system with elimination after the second lost match. Each match in the upper bracket is played until two wins, and in the lower bracket until one win. Time limit for 1 game - 1 week. (The loser in the upper bracket moves to the lower bracket and continues playing there. The loser in the lower bracket is eliminated from the competition.)
For templates in the first game, the player listed first in the pair chooses first; their opponent chooses castles first. In the second game, you switch places. For the third game, you may toss a coin or ask the organizer.

Dates.
Registration - June 7 2014 - June 30 2014.
Approval of participant list - July 1-4 2014.
Group stage draw and tournament start - July 5 2014.
Time limit for one game - 1 week.

Rules.
1. Game version. The tournament is held on game version SoD 3.2(4.0) + HD mod + by mutual consent HW_rulez (for correct operation, the patch must be installed for both players).
2. The tournament is conducted according to the rules of online games in Heroes 3.
3. Restarts total 3 days ( 111+111+111 or 111+112 or 113).
4. In the initial stage of the tournament, games are played on template 2sm4d(3). In the final part of the tournament, the template is chosen by drawing from a list of 5 templates: 2sm4d(3), jebus Cross, Panic, 8mm6a (version without one-way paths), mini nostalgia.

In the first week, everything went well: I took 4 Crypts on the map, found chests, while Wistan explored a bit and gained a level, cleared almost the entire map, by level 115, Wistan was level 5, with a pack of cows. By the end of the week, I built a Castle level 1-6, merged a Bull and a Unicorn, but did it foolishly.

Second week: Jaeger reached level 5, advanced in Fire magic, 10 Magic Power; Myrlana advanced in Air magic, started hunting for a secondary resource, but it turned out to be a waste of turns (ran with the mage to the hero, but there were mountains).
Wistan spent 3 turns traveling along a winding road to the secondary resource, money was running out, there were no money-generating objects, a Hydra lair was discovered on the map, he was defeated, I didn't have enough time to get there (while Jaeger cleared another secondary resource with 3 Unicorns (without losses), Wistan should have already left the castle (didn't have time to buy Wistan)), he took the Hydras and cleared the path to another secondary resource where the opponent was already located (should have cleared the first one earlier, as he could have), sent the mage there, but while I was running around, the opponent was collecting Hive resources from our shared secondary resource.
The Mage had 12 Ice Power at 250, but the mage couldn't do much, he relied on Grand Master in the Rampart - built it to level 4, but it was useless.

Third week: everything is bad, no money, nowhere to get it, Wistan rushed to the Treasury, but it was too late, the opponent took the Utopian at the end of the third week, attacked with the mage, destroyed 10 Medusas, and surrendered, as there was very little money.
Thank you for the game.

It was an interesting game.
In the first week, I placed horses in the castle, had a stable nearby. Found two secondary resources (one Dungeon and one Swamp). I only had Spears as a bonus, so I didn't build a Portal. In the second week, I discovered two Archery Range bonuses deep in the map, but didn't manage to deliver them to the main hero by the end of the game (already had 40 of them). So, in the second week, I started by buying horses and Archers and went to clear the Hive (3 of them nearby). With the right tactics and experience, the ranged units were effective. I cleared 20 Unicorns (not exactly sure). But I needed money, and all I had were Spears. With the Unicorns, I cleared a Dungeon and consistently "reached" the Angels by the third week. But then the opponent came and things got tough!...
I initially wanted to give up the secondary resource and rush to the Treasury, but seeing that there was already a Mage with 10 Spell Power, I decided that giving him a double mana bonus was not a good idea. So, this Dungeon became like Crimea with the Black Sea Fleet) I couldn't give it up.

After finding 25 Medusas in a chest, I decided that, even at that cost, I needed to eliminate the mage. Just as I drove him away, some tower mage with 50-99 Goblins appeared. He clearly decided to take it by storm - I bought everything I could in the Dungeon. The infamous Jaeger with 10 Spell Power arrived... I didn't want to lose the Archers!
Meanwhile, I decided to build a chain and take a Naga Bank + Amulet + Shield behind the Hydras of Chaos, buy Unicorns from the second castle, and clear the Utopian. Surprisingly, I did it all in 2 turns, BUT in the Utopian (even though I checked beforehand), I lost 10 Champions and 15 Wyverns... BUT I got the Books of Air + Earth + a medal of Vulnerability, a lot of money, and Earth as the last skill)) Immediately teleported to the Dungeon and there I met this Jaeger... He attacked with everything - I went with the mage to take a helmet +2 Knowledge and armor +3 Spell Power from the 50-99 Vampires. Just as I was about to leave, he appeared again. That's it - I need to drag it out further = let Wistan gain experience, and I sit idle... Teleported to the Dungeon, put the Archers and Ducks in the garrison, and I went with various items + 25 Medusas as bait. I was counting on a wave of death with experience and leadership. The opponent took the bait!) I don't remember who he attacked with 250 damage, but he didn't run away. The next turn, the wave of death and the Medusas killed the Goblins. The opponent wrote GG.
Thank you for the game!

I messed up against my opponent, took the main on turn 146, and then on turn 147, after using "Utopia," I caught him with no mana and killed him.
Thanks for the game.
I was a bit unlucky, even though I took two "Utopia" creatures, levels 2 and 5, and built 5 Guardian Monsters for control. I didn't find an "Explosion" spell. My opponent leveled up his single "Utopia" creature and equipped it with the "Orator's Hat" and a +11 breastplate. The "Explosion" spell on turn 1600 decided the final battle. Thanks for the game.

I resigned. My opponent had 2 more restarts; from the start, about 20 Lizardmen. In the first week, I cleared the respawn. Near the Castle but behind the mountains, I burned an external dwelling of Lizardmen and went there until Day 117, clearing crypts and small guards along the way. I placed Wyverns, a Citadel, upgraded Serpent Flies and Lizardmen, placed Basiliks. On the second week, I built the Mage Guild, bought a book for Vistana, cleared secondary skills. The first Inferno nearby had an external dwelling of Efreeti; I cleared the dwelling, put a scout hero on a group of Serpent Flies and Efreeti, and sent them for Boots (also about 4-5 days one way). The second Dungeon, when I was breaking through (with a scout hero), I lost about 20 group Lizardmen and 2 Wyverns (27 left), but tempo was more important. I was broke on gold; by the end of the second week, I barely scraped together enough for another hero (before that I was running around with 5). I revealed the map, 3 unclaimed treasure chests—joy knew no bounds. I just ended my turn and saw my opponent coming at me through the Monks with a Gundula; thankfully, he didn't reach the Castle. I stole a chest and some gold with a scout hero, tried to get out to him, but there was Mullich with 3 Chudniks, 47 Orcs, 4 Evil Eyes, a few Goblins and Wolves—zero stats. So I took the meat and, with a slightly leveled scout hero with Expert Tactics, chased off Gundula (bought him off for 4500), and went with Vistana to kill Mullich. I had about 30 Lizardmen, 3 Wyverns, a Serpent Fly, about 20 Troglodytes, and a few Harpies. I cast Oil on the Chudniks, shielded the Lizardmen, and we exchanged shots with the Orcs. My stats were 2 10 4 10 (13 mana). I was left with 17 group Lizardmen and 10 Troglodytes... I bought a hero, brought Serpent Fly and Vistana, pulled the meat a bit higher, ended my turn. My opponent took out Vistana (I bought him off), killed my scout heroes, but again didn't reach the Castle. On Day 131, I bought back in the Dungeon, installed a Whirlpool, got 200 mana instantly, and made a run for the main hero. Along the way, I picked up Lizardmen from the external dwelling, ended my turn. My opponent sat in the Castle with Gundula on birds. On Day 132, I gathered all the meat I could buy and took out Gundula. My stats were 2 10 4 10 (200 mana), his were 9 5 5 4 (80 mana). My meat: about 27 Lizardmen, 3 Wyverns, 57 Gnolls, 7 Basiliks, 3 group Serpent Flies and 2 single Serpent Flies. His: 2 stacks of 5 group birds each and 1 Wolf.
Thanks for the game!

The start was bad, I recovered, and then I saw that my opponent had 16 Lizards on the first stack from the beginning. I defended with a +5% ranged attack, and the second hero was a Swamp creature, but it only blocked 20-49 damage from demons. I managed to reach the second hero with my Ducks, and then my opponent resigned somewhere... GG. Thanks for the game!

Thanks for the game!

The Moon and 44 archers against 77 air units without a Guardian, and the Moon is level 1. I didn't realize that the wall was only 2 squares wide.

I feel like a German in 1945, but I could have done better. There were 2 archer stacks near the castle.

Let me summarize the results of the 1st round. Everything is looking very good, and some participants even performed excellently. All participants actively engaged in the game, and I am confident that we will complete the group stage on time. It is important not to relax and not slow down.
Only nickq is not responding. We will make a decision about a replacement no earlier than the 18th. I will contact the participant who will be the replacement in advance.

I rebirthed, my opponent still has 2 restarts, starting with about 20 lizards, on the first week I was digging at the respawn, next to the castle but behind mountains I burned an external dwelling of lizards and went there until 117, clearing crypts and small guards along the way, built upgraded harpies, Citadel, upgraded serpents and lizards, built upgraded Medusas, on the second I built a Mage Guild, bought Vistan a spell book, broke through the secondary troops, first Inferno is next to an external dwelling of Efreeti, broke the external dwelling, put a scout hero on the hydra and sent the Efreeti for boots (also about 4-5 days just to get there), second Dungeon, when I was breaking through (with a scout hero) I lost about 20 hydras and 2 harpies (another 27 units left), but tempo is more valuable, was broke on money, barely scraped together enough by the end of the second for another hero (was running around with 5 before), lit up the map, 3 unclaimed chests, my joy knew no bounds, just passed the turn, I see my opponent is coming at me through monks with Gundula, fortunately didn't reach the castle, I stole a chest and some gold with a scout hero, tried to come out to him, and there's Müllich with 3 hydras, 47 orcs, 4 Evil Eyes, a few goblins and wolves, zero stats, well I took the army and with a slightly trained scout hero with expert Tactics drove off Gundula (paid him off for 4500), and went with Vistan to kill Müllich, I have about 30 lizards, 3 harpies, a hydra, about 20 Troglodytes and single harpies, cast oil on the hydras, closed off the lizards and we're exchanging shots with the orcs, my stats are 2 10 4 10 (had 13 mana), left with 17 hydras and 10 Troglodytes... bought a hero, brought the hydra and Vistan, pulled the army a bit higher, pass the turn, my opponent sniped Vistan (I paid him off), killed my scout heroes, again didn't reach the castle ), 131 I bought back in the dungeon, built a Mana Vortex, immediately 200 mana and I'm making a run to the main, along the way I brought out the lizards from the external dwelling, pass the turn, my opponent sits in the castle with Gundula on harpies, 132 I gather all the army I could buy and I'm covering Gundula, my stats are 2 10 4 10 (200 mana), his are 9 5 5 4 (80 mana), my army is about 27 lizards, 3 harpies, 57 Gnolls, 7 Medusas, 3 hydras and 2 single hydras, his is 2 stacks of 5 upgraded harpies and 1 wolf.
Thanks for the game!
The most painful defeat of all... I was really carrying the game, but a couple of fatal mistakes led to defeat.
I had 2 native castles on the first week with hydras in the castle at the first one and harpies in the Citadel at the second one + an external dwelling of orcs and 2 goths. But when I stuck my nose into the underground I stuck it out with my main hero instead of scouts - ONE, and paid for it. The entire army stayed on Müllich - TWO, and my army is gone. And finally I sat with Gundula in the castle, not sure what I was counting on - there was only a Fort and I had 0 shooters... It's upsetting, annoying, but my opponent did well - everything, though on the edge, was clearly in his favor.
Thanks for the game, I hope we meet again on the battlefield :)

The game was very heavy and tense. I thought I would lose this match, I was literally on the verge of defeat :D. I don't remember how many resets everyone had, but we started playing the setup (I think I had 1 left, but I didn't use it and started playing the setup). I started playing - saw the Dragon Fly Hive and an external dwelling of Lizards (but didn't take it on week 1). 1 passage to the adjacent zone with the opponent (guard tough for week 1), 2nd passage to a secondary town (but the ГО blocks the path to the underground, and the detour is very long through rough terrain). And then it got hot when the opponent comes through the adjacent zone at the start of the second week with 160+ Infernal Troglodytes and 50+ Beholders - I was shocked for a couple of turns :eek:. I defended in the Castle and meanwhile captured a Dwarf Cottage and built a Castle, for better defense (on 1 Wyvern plus Waspwaks in the Citadel). The opponent doesn't dare attack the Castle with Tazar (I probably would have chickened out too :D). Then very well-thought-out moves begin, I take a Dragon Fly Hive in the middle or end of week 2, then I run in 3 moves to 2 Dragon Fly Hives, but both are minimal ones (while the opponent ran off somewhere on his own business). And I quickly break through to the underground treasure zone through a portal (and then the countdown of days without a Castle began - the opponent captured my Castle - but I managed to buy the army and lead it away through the swamp to the side - on a hero). In the treasure zone without mana, it was very painful to get hit and slowly lose army. In the treasure zone, 4 Dragon Fly Hives and a Pandora's Box for full Fire Magic + a Library - I clear this treasure zone :D. I run out of the portal and run to another treasure zone with a Dragon Utopia revealed on the rocks (max Dragon Utopia - using Summon Fire Elementals 30 units - I take the Dragon Utopia - drops КВ, armor +10 SP and Sandals). I run to replenish mana in the Rampart secondary town and with the help of Advanced Air Magic - I control the map and run to a very rich Rampart treasure zone, there is 1 minimal Dragon Utopia - Crown level 5, Bracers, Medallion of Vulnerability - pretty good overall. Then I'm left without mana in this treasure zone (only enough mana for Fly - to exit through it, and Town Portal, to get out of there somehow) and the opponent shows up and takes, with his Pits, a 100-249 Chest on which I had my eye, but the opponent's stats didn't increase much, they became around 15+ - tolerable). I Town Portal, as planned, and replenish mana at the Rampart (and build it up to Dragons, since there are many external dwellings of Dragons in the Rampart treasure zone + an external dwelling near the secondary). Then I run again into this same treasure zone for the Pandora's Boxes and the rest - since the treasure zone is huge, I pick up another couple of Dragon Fly Hives + Sword +5 All + Shield +3 +3 (which I didn't have until now). I see the opponent running along the road towards my Rampart secondary town, ready to fight with 40+ Lizards, 188 Beholders and fake 1-stacks :D and stats around 15. Meanwhile, I have everything under control - a chain is built from the treasure zone to the Rampart, but then I open a Pandora's Box and it gives me all Earth Magic - Town Portal :smile20: :smile03:. I Town Portal to the Rampart, from there Fly to the well near the Castle, get mana up to 260 and jump on Shakti with this army: 35 Grand Elves, 45 Dendroid Soldiers, 25+ Pegasi with 1-stacks, 4 Dragons and 40 regular Elves (from the Pandora's Box). Stats 21 25 36 20 - I have Offense Magic and equip the Bracers :smile12:, but the opponent has Surcoat of Counterstrike, but that doesn't save him! Thanks for the game!! :D :D

The game was very tough and tense. I thought I would lose this match, I was literally hanging by a thread from defeat):D . I don't remember how many restarts each of us had, but we started playing the layout (I think I had 1 left, but I didn't spend it and started playing the layout). In the treasure zone without mana, it was very painful to get slapped around and slowly lose the army. In the treasure zone there were 4 Dragon Fly Hives and a Pandora's Box with all the fire + a library - I cleared that treasure zone:D . I run out of the portal and run to another treasure zone with a Dragon Utopia revealed on the rocks (max Dragon Utopia - using Summon Fire Elemental for 30 units - I take the Dragon Utopia - КВ drops, armor +10 SP and sandals). I run to replenish mana in the Rampart secondary town and using Advanced Air magic, I control the map and run to a very juicy Rampart treasure zone, there is 1 minimal Dragon Utopia - level 5 cap, bracers, medallion of vulnerability - generally decent. Then I run out of mana in this treasure zone (only enough mana left for Flight - to exit through it and Town Portal, to get out of there somehow) and the opponent shows up and takes a 100-249 Chaplain with pits - which I was aiming for, but the opponent's stats didn't increase much, they became around 15+ - tolerable. I Town Portal, as planned, and replenish mana in the Rampart (and upgrade it to Dragons, since in the Rampart treasure zone there are many external dwellings of dragons + an external dwelling near the secondary town). Then I again run to the same treasure zone for Pandora's Boxes and the rest - since the treasure zone is huge, I pick up another couple of Dragon Fly Hives + +5 All sword + shield +3 +3 (which I didn't have yet). I see the opponent running along the road towards my Rampart secondary town ready to fight with 40+ Lizards, 188 Beholders and a few single Faerie Dragons:D and stats around 15. Meanwhile, I have everything planned - a chain is built from the treasure zone to the Rampart, but then I eat a Pandora's Box and it gives all Earth magic - Town Portal:smile20: :smile03: . I Town Portal to the Rampart, from there Flight to the well near the Castle, I get mana to about 260 and jump on Shakti with such an army: 35 Gremlin Sages, 45 Dwarves, 25+ Pegasi with a few singles, 4 Dragons and 40 regular Elves (from the Pandora's Box). Stats 21 25 36 20 - I have attack magic and put on the bracers:smile12: , but the opponent has the Cloak of the Abandoned, but it doesn't save him! Thanks for the game!!:D :D

It was a great match, at the start I played the bot well, double dungeon, money was tight, but it's always like that with a dungeon, on the second one around 70 Beholders with an external dwelling and 2 portals, I thought about rushing him, but he spotted my movements and managed to return Tazar to the Castle. I would have still attacked the Citadel against Tazar, but against the Castle with 8 defense on Tazar I really didn't want to, so I turned around, took another secondary town, a Pandora's Box with 20 gr. of crap, and 2 Hives for 12 Wyverns in total. I had a huge army advantage, and on the third week I squeeze him with a hundred Beholders, take all towns, kill almost all of his units. The opponent essentially runs away on just Wyverns (there were, I think, about 20 of them at most) and some chaff into the treasure zone, we save there, I am 90% confident of victory...

And then, TA-DAAAAM, I decide to finish playing today in the afternoon at work (facepalm) :mad: :mad: :mad: I will never do that again, not only did I make the opponent wait through my absences of 15 minutes or half an hour, but I also put on a hit parade of failures, ran around for a week and a half with chains, trying to catch the opponent instead of eating treasure zones, then I went not to the nearest treasure zone (which ended up having +5,6 all, a box with all Earth magic, etc.) but to the treasure zone in the swamp, in short I was incredibly stupid, while the opponent used his chance to the fullest, eating two treasure zones, and in the end defeated me with an incomplete army))

Great lesson for the future, you shouldn't play if you're not fully ready:o

Thanks for the game!

So, this time regarding the opponent's restarts—everything is spent (111-1 time, 112-1 time), while I only took 1 time—111 and we went on to play this setup :D. I kind of relaxed in this last game and took some vague setup for myself. Isra immediately falls, followed by Tante—calmed down a bit—I start necromancing! :D. There was little money this time (only birds + orcs in the Citadel on week 1 got built—no bears :(, I thought I was done for :D. Then came the epic slaughter of all upgraded goblins on harpies with Haste (because I only took goblins :D). And so on, on the rocks I try to somehow necromance with a penalty and chains (by the way, on the respawn—2 external dwellings of ogres—but there was absolutely no money to somehow utilize them :(). Next, on week 2, I accidentally misclick and lose 2 birds that were upgraded at the time, leaving only 5 of them :(. Well, I necromanced with Isra at first, then switched to Tante and miraculously found a Cloak of +10 Necromancy on my respawn in some wilderness on the rocks. It was hard to break through to secondary zones—in one direction—20-49 Ice elementals, and at the other, but easier—20+ Magmas, but due to the army loss I didn't go for the first one, and tried to develop on my own respawn. On week 3, I break through 2 passes, a very rich zone in the secondary (Dungeon)—7 Angels, and by that time I have 700 skeletons + some meat. I enter the underground treasure zone through the secondary, manage to visit the Library, take a Pandora's Box for 60 upgraded skeletons, and a prison, when I see the opponent a few moves away from me—but I don't have enough moves to attack. In the tavern, as well as later in the battle against Tazar, the stats shine 3 9 2 4 (but good skills—Expert Offense, Mass Earth and Air spells present). On his turn, the opponent decides not to drag the game out and attacks me himself with this army—10 Lizardmen, 37 Gargoyles, 16 Wyverns, 3 Angels, and singles of Serpent Flies (not upgraded :D). Well, out of curiosity we fought the battle (by the way, I had 134 mana—Tante, and the opponent, Tazar—18 mana)—I only lost 11 skeletons :D). Tante's stats were 6 3 8 10. Thanks for the game! :D

So, this time all of the opponent's resources are spent (111-1 time, 112-1 time), while I only took 111 once and went on to play this setup :D. I got a bit relaxed in that last game and picked some weird setup. Isra gets dropped immediately, followed by Tanta — I calm down a bit and start necromancing! :D I had little money this time (only birds + orcs in the citadel on week 1, without bears :( thought I was done for :D. Then came the epic slaughter of all upgraded goblins on harpies with GS (because I only took goblins :D). And so I try to necromance on the rocks with a penalty and chains somehow (by the way, on the respawn there are 2 external dwellings of ogres — but there was no money at all to make use of them :( ). Then, on week 2, I accidentally misclick and lose 2 upgraded birds at that point, leaving me with only 5 of them :(. Well, I necromanced with Isra at first, then switched to Tanta and miraculously found the Cloak of the Undead King (+10 necromancy) on my respawn somewhere in the wasteland on rocks. Breaking through to secondaries is tough — in one direction there's 20-49 Ice Demons, and in the other, somewhat easier, there are 20+ Magmas, but because of the army loss earlier I didn't go there, and tried to develop on my own respawn. On week 3, I break through 2 passages — a very rich zone in the secondary (dungeon) — 7 angels, and by that point I have 700 skeletons plus some fodder. I enter the underground treasure zone through the secondary, manage to visit the library, take the Pandora's Box with 60 upgraded skeletons and the prison, and I see the opponent just a few moves away from me — but I don't have enough moves to attack. In the tavern, and later in battle against Tazar, his stats show 3 9 2 4 (but good skills — expert attack, mass earth and air). On his turn, the opponent decides not to drag the game out and attacks me himself with this army — 10 lizards, 37 gargoyles, 16 wyrms, 3 angels, and a few snakes (not upgraded :D). Well, out of curiosity we fought the battle (by the way, I had 134 mana — Tanta, while the opponent, Tazar, had 18 mana) — I lost only 11 skeletons :D). Tanta's stats were 6 3 8 10. Thanks for the game! :D
In yet another game, empty treasure zones with no roads. No necromancers. Thanks for the game.

I spent all my restarts, had to take 112 due to losing almost all the Centaurs on a respawn with an external Dragon dwelling. The opponent didn't take restarts and we played out a layout where I got Tanth. There was a large Griffin Conservatory right under my Castle. No external dwellings, no money. Passages to the adjacent zone were from shooting blockers. Barely built cavalry in the Citadel and stood before the gates on day 7. Broke through, and there were 10-19 Snipers almost immediately. Had to find money for the cavalry upgrade to outrun them. Spent several more days on that. Septienna came and saved Tanth from a wipe because I miscalculated the amount of Sniper damage. The wave of death decided the outcome.

In the end, I captured a secondary Castle, found another Conservatory. And at that time Torosar unexpectedly appeared, having broken through the adjacent zone, one day's march from my main. The chain was slightly short of delivering meat from the Castle, and I couldn't break Tanth. Thought for a long time and at the last second planted a Castle and bought single units. This could have been a fatal mistake, since against 3 Towers I wouldn't have gotten my main back. But the opponent miraculously skipped past Rampart and ran towards the Castle. Later he said he didn't notice my main. On the Castle zone, the first skirmish between Tanth and Torosar occurred, where I drove the opponent off with almost no losses thanks to oil and lightning, against 5 upgraded Nagas and 120 Hoods. Moreover, he had no money to buy back, so he had to give up the remaining Nagas.

After such incredible luck, I decided to gather the Conservatories and go into the treasure zone. Took the maximum under my main despite 3 morale Griffins, then zone 3 next to the Castle. The treasure zone turned out to be rich in Dragon Fly Hives — got 38 pieces, and missed a couple more because Torosar appeared again in front of my main.

Fought with Tanth, the chain was slightly short of delivering meat, and Tanth had to catch up to it himself, but I had a serious advantage in army strength, and the opponent surrenders despite capturing the Castle.

Thanks for the game!

Broke through, and there were 10-19 Snipers almost immediately. Had to find money for an upgrade of the Cavalry to outrun them. Spent several more days on that. Septienna arrived and saved Tanth from being wasted, as I miscalculated the amount of Sniper damage. A wave of death decided the outcome.

In the end, I captured the secondary Castle and found another Griffin Conservatory. Meanwhile, Torosar unexpectedly appeared, having broken through the adjacent zone, one day's march from my main. The chain didn't quite deliver the meat from the Castle, and I couldn't split Tanth. Thought for a long time and at the last second plopped down the Castle and bought units in ones. This could have been a fatal mistake, because against 3 Towers I wouldn't have gotten my main back. But the opponent miraculously slipped past Rampart and ran toward the Castle.
