I don't understand you... Why does a hydra have to lose its head in order to start eating? If it lost its head, when did it happen? And finally, if it really did lose its head, it should now have 3 heads instead of 2 (two new ones grew in place of the one it lost, at the expense of the one point of satiety it had initially). Isn't that right?

If a head is cut off, it doesn't automatically regenerate a new one; it simply gains the ability to grow two heads in place of the one that was cut off.

Can the saturation level only increase, or will it decrease back to 1 if the hydra regenerates heads?
