Basically, here's the problem. A while ago, I installed a mod that made the "Raise Dead" spell only work on enemies. I installed it, tried it out, didn't like it, and uninstalled it, and for some reason, I stopped playing the game for a couple of months. Now I've started playing again, and the effect is still there – Raise Dead only works on enemies. So, I started looking for the file, thinking it hadn't been completely deleted, but the file is nowhere to be found. But the effect remains. What should I do? Maybe reinstalling the "data" folder will help? If so, maybe someone can share an archive with that folder so I don't have to reinstall the whole game?

What kind of mod is this that gets installed in the data folder?

the manual said to change the extension to .rak and put it in the data folder. As I already said, the mod is designed to make the Raise Dead spell affect enemies.

Yeah, I understand that these aren't the Tribes of the East, right? Well, I don't think the data.pak file is the issue here; this archive has the 'Read-only' attribute. The problem is most likely with older save files: if you continue playing with them, the effect should persist, but it will disappear when you start a new game.

No, the effect applies everywhere, in new maps, duels, campaigns, etc.

I agree with Ment. Go to My Documents and delete the profile completely. It should help.

Where did the global mod come from, since I deleted it? How do I get rid of it? Last time, I had to reinstall the OS to do that.

Have you tried deleting it in the mod manager? And besides the mod manager, does the mod manifest itself in any way? Does it work in the game?

The file might still be hidden. If you delete it, its invisible "ghost" will remain in the folder and continue to affect the game. Deleting such ghosts is indeed not an easy task, as even Total Commander cannot see them...

Yes, it works in the game. The first time, I didn't think to check the UserMODs folder using the mod manager. I reinstalled Heroes, but it didn't help, so I had to reinstall the OS. Now, I used the mod manager to delete this mod, and the effect disappeared.
