The statistics are probably based on wishful thinking about how bad women are.
I and many of my female friends (including both average and very beautiful ones) have had extremely negative experiences on dating sites. Tons of creeps who are all about "give me a blowjob" (here's an example of a real message, if you need it), nitpickers, and people whose mental state raises some doubts and questions when communicating with them. And a normal guy with average looks and decent communication skills is some kind of mythical creature.
A perfect example of how overheated the dating market is. A woman sees Alain Delon and says, "well, he's just... ordinary... a six out of ten at best."
I know plenty of people I'd rate 1-2 points on the dating scale, but they're happily married and every other one has kids.
Yeah, only ugly bastards. And no married men or plain jerks looking for one-night stands. No momma's boys who at 25+ still live exclusively with their mothers, listen to them in everything, earn ~30k and are convinced that all women only want their money. No "freelancers" who at 30+ are still finding themselves, ready to live on either solar energy or at the expense of the same parents. No weird mumbling guys who can't string two words together at an actual meeting and just stare blankly at the floor. No abusers who seem fine in the first days of a relationship, then start humiliating you for everything, including your looks and figure, reproaching you, being jealous of every lamppost while cheating on you, beating you and putting you on an emotional rollercoaster. No-no-no, it's all fiction. Just as fictional as good girls — they don't exist either!
In reality, there are only good, flawless guys ready to accept a girl with any looks, figure, and baggage just as she is. And terrible mercenary females who only seek dominant males with looks from 8/10, height 180+, ripped bodies and millions of money.
He has no children, and he's never been married either.
As is the age, so is the social circle)
I had a close friend who was married to a very ugly guy, even though she herself was a beauty with a perfect figure. But she's an artist and she liked that he was also a creative person. And before him she had many unattractive boyfriends (there were also handsome ones), as well as quite average girls (she's open to communication 😎 )
She kicked him out of her house in the end not because "he's ugly", but because almost a year after the wedding he quit his job and went into a tailspin, deciding to fully sit on her neck. And before that everything seemed fine and she didn't complain about the evening beer. But when it escalated into 1-2 bottles of vodka a day, the guy was sent into free swimming.
And including based on her experience, I'm convinced that dating on SZ is a dull topic.
That’s exactly the point, Neira; many women have the same “negative” traits. But if she’s average, lives with her parents, and earns 30,000, then a man who is EXACTLY LIKE HER is invisible to her. For every alcoholic woman, there are 10 alcoholic men. For every “normal” woman, there are 10 “normal” men (I’m exaggerating, of course; the numbers are just for illustration).
Did they have any children?
It’s a normal thing, for women and men with at least slightly above-average looks 😁
The question of what percentage of all women and men who have ever lived had offspring is interesting and complex. There are no exact figures for the entire period of human existence, but there are estimates based on demographic and genetic research. Here are the key findings:📊 Women:
Approximately 80–90% of women who have ever lived had offspring.
This is because biologically, a woman can give birth to a limited number of children, but most women in pre-industrial societies married and had at least one child.
Women generally left offspring more often than men, especially in societies with polygamy or high male mortality (due to wars, hunting, etc.).
📊 Men:
Only about 40–60% of men who have ever lived had offspring.
Some genetic studies, including analysis of the Y chromosome, indicate that historically, men's reproductive success was highly concentrated: not all men left offspring, but only a part of them.
In societies with polygamy and/or high social inequality, it was especially common for only certain men (leaders, alpha males, successful hunters, etc.) to have many children, while others had none at all.
