Hello

Initially, the map was created for WoG 3.58, and later I switched to ERA. Therefore, I used the latest build I could find.
The build author is Igrik (one of the co-authors of ERA) + daemon_n (the current curator of the build).

---------------------------------------

Map Parameters:
Size: XL
Levels: 2
Number of human players: 1
Number of AI players: 5
Number of teams: 3
Number of victory conditions: 2
---------------------------------------

The map is based on the STALKER game series, but it is not tied to any specific part. The plot only partially echoes the original (for recognizability), but is adapted for fantasy.

It is recommended to play with in-game music enabled: talking NPCs, tracks for plot battles and events are implemented through scripts that work with MP3 files (music), not WAV (sounds)!

In terms of gameplay, the map is similar to classic RPGs. The player starts with a Hero (function: heal/buff), in whose group there is 1 warrior (Ranged Dimension Door) and a commander (Tank/Dimension Door). Later, it becomes possible to take control of three more heroes. Two of them can join the Marked One's group as individual units. The player can switch the build of one of them (Dimension Door/control) at will. The parameters of the 2nd (Ranged Control/Debuff) are determined based on the chosen ending. Resources for upgrading both the hero and his companion must be obtained either from neutral monsters or found among "stashes" with loot.

The difficulty of the game is medium; at the start of the map, the game difficulty must be set to IMPOSSIBLE 200%.

Change Log: July 19, 2019

Fixed the dialogue for the Training Arena.
Changed the way the player interacts with Watchtowers intended for AI heroes. Now, a dialogue box appears explaining that they cannot be used by the player, and further interaction with them is prevented, consistent with the standard script behavior. The AI player can still use them for improvements.
Changed the name and dialogue descriptions of the "Mirror of the Path Home" objects.

Reduced the chance of the "Random Hero" script being activated to minimize the bug that causes the AI player to "freeze" during battle, especially when they are about to lose. This significantly simplifies the game!!!
The cause of this bug has not yet been identified (possibly due to changes in AI behavior during combat that cannot be disabled using standard WoG/ERA scripts). The bug appears not only on this map but was also observed when playing Valery's TeW3 map and on version 2.7.7. (the bug is not regular; it seems to occur if taverns are disabled on the map, the AI hero is about to lose, and sometimes giving such a hero the Resurrection spell helps them recover, but not always.)
ADDED a file with the PREVIOUS version of the "Random Hero" script in a separate directory within the archive, with an explanation of how to activate it and the consequences for completing the map!
Reduced the Magic skill parameter for heroes in the "Random Hero" script in the early stages of the game (to 3/6/12 SP for levels up to 10/20/30).
Reduced the Knowledge skill parameter for heroes in the "Random Hero" script in the early stages of the game (to 4/8/10/13/16 for levels up to 10/20/30/40/40+).
All heroes in the "Random Hero" script who have any level in magic schools have been given a basic skill (to prevent the player from being "one-shotted" in the early stages); after level 40, skills receive further upgrades.
Fixed the z-variable that describes the "Ring of Power" object (previously, it was replaced with the description of the note for Ashot's quest).
Added a tooltip for "Spatial Anomalies." Corrected the interaction method with the anomaly when completing "x-10."
Changed/added visuals for some artifacts on the adventure map.

Added images with explanations on how to activate the mod to the text file with the description.

Changelog: from 07/20/19

Map adapted for ERA 2.8.6.
Attempt to fix the bug with the animation loop in combat during the AI turn:
Changes to the "Random Hero" script:
1) The activation chance now depends on the Marked One's level (10%, 20%, 30%, 50% chance at levels up to 10, 20, 30, and after level 30).
2) The Magic Power parameter for heroes in the "Random Hero" script has been reduced in the early stages of the game (up to 1/5/10 SP at levels up to 10/20/30).
3) The Knowledge parameter for heroes in the "Random Hero" script has been reduced in the early stages of the game (up to 4/10/13 at levels up to 10/20/30).
4) The receiver parameter has been changed !!BG&v851=1/f>=0/g=4:A3; (defense), previously it was A0, as described in the help:
(A$
Action type:
$ =
0 – cancel action (the stack can theoretically perform this action, but it is impossible to do for some reason, for example, attempting to escape with War Shackles uses this action to cancel)
).

It is possible that the problem with the bug described above lies in THIS (although, according to the description, it SHOULD work). Now, when the AI is "stuck due to the inability to escape," it should switch to defense (end the turn for the creature on which the bug occurs) and pass the turn to other units (if the AI has several living units, each will switch to defense and thus pass the turn to the player).
Just in case, the art for Stalker Boots has been replaced with War Shackles (now the shackles are worn on the feet and have the visual and properties of the Stalker Boots, while retaining the inability to escape).
The hero Sancho has been given the art for the Amulet of Invulnerability (in case the player, by this point, already has 8 skills for some reason and has not been able to take any of the magic skills - there is an opportunity to get it at the beginning of the week).
The second of the two available guard towers on the OASIS has been displayed (to simplify targeting for subsequent actions - there is no particular need, but it won't hurt).

Changelog: as of 08/01/19

The standard ending scenario in Adventure Mode has been modified: the mana limit is now 105 units, and the number of Thunderbirds available in this mode is limited to 1 unit.
The status of the standard ending has been changed. An additional epilogue dialogue is displayed after winning the battle in the standard ending.
The ability to spawn the "Orb of Constancy" artifact on the Adventure Map has been removed. This artifact is now part of the quest to find the "Heart of the Oasis." A corresponding quest has been added to the Stronghold base.
The behavior of the hero Gervulf has been changed. He is now a guard at the tower in the Mercenary base. The standard commander type has been restored for this hero (related to the possibility of some Ballista units disappearing).
The monsters of the hero Siren have been changed. The special abilities of the new monsters have been modified to make capturing the base more challenging during the first visit (to avoid the player obtaining the Elixir of Life too early).
The special abilities of the Hydras have been changed (to make the battle with the hero Vistan more challenging).
The conditions for obtaining the Ring of Power have been changed (for this quest, the number of required resources has been increased, and the types of required resources have been reduced to sulfur and mercury).
The condition for accessing the Altar of Transformation has been changed (access is granted after completing the quest to find the Guide). Before entering the Training Arena near Shevchenko, an explanatory dialogue is displayed, warning against prematurely upgrading units available for hire.
A condition has been set for accessing the shipyard (access is granted after talking to the Troglodyte-Mycologist). An additional dialogue with an explanation has been added.
Access to certain objects, "Hidden Bribe" and "Demon Lair," has been restricted in the later stages of the game.
The progression of secondary hero skills has been changed. At the start, it is only possible to learn Wisdom and magic element skills. All other secondary skills are learned either by purchasing them in the School of Magic/Battle Academy or with commander artifacts.
Commander artifacts equipped on a hero now permanently grant the basic version of the secondary skill (it remains even after the artifact is removed, if a more advanced version of the skill is available; further improvement is not granted).
The castle building has been removed when upgrading Shevchenko after completing Friedman's quest.
The cost (in gems) of purchasing Archangels and upgrading them to level 8 has been increased.

Changelog: from 08/07/19

Updated 08/11/19: fixed the "Infirmary" script, added the "missing" def for the "Alliance of the Grey Wings" monument building.

The condition for accessing the underground level during the quests to eliminate the Medusa and Chimera groups has been changed. Now, the player is given only a small section of the dungeon that they can move around in. Access to the rest of the underground level becomes available after receiving the quest to retrieve the ruins (eliminate Tazar).
A reminder/tip has been added about the need to clear the dungeon BEFORE completing the quest to find the Azure Dragons, as well as a warning that the AI player will be able to move freely in the underground level after a certain stage of this quest.
The condition for accessing the "Freedom from Yar" quest has been changed. Now, interaction with the character Yar is only possible after freeing Vano.
A tip has been added on how to upgrade units (in terms of creature speed) for the final battle in the training arena event.
Decorative objects have been added to all locations (simulating clouds with cloud shadows).
The ability to refuse the participation of war machines in battle has been disabled.
The functionality of the "Shard of Constancy" artifact has been reworked. Now, it gives 5000 experience at the beginning of the week and another 5000 for every 10 hero defenses. For the AI player, Medusas still appear.
The cost (in gold) of purchasing Archangels and upgrading them to level 8 has been increased.
A quest has been added to increase the Archangel growth rate.
The chance of Grom receiving an injury due to anomalies has been added. The artifacts "Stalker's First Aid Kit", "Army First Aid Kit", and "Scientific First Aid Kit" have been added.
Quests have been added to obtain improved versions of the first aid kits.
Now, when an anomaly occurs, Grom can receive an injury and lose 50 health points (the effect is cumulative, but health cannot drop below 300). Equipped first aid kits increase the chance of avoiding injury. Grom can be healed at the Duty base in the "Infirmary" building; the cost of healing depends on the level of the Marked One. If the Marked One is equipped with the "Anomaly Detector" and the detector prevented damage during the anomaly, Grom will 100% not take damage, even if the Marked One is not equipped with a first aid kit.

List of changes from 01/13/20:
The map has been adapted for ERA 2.9.4.
(The list of changes is cumulative; it hasn't been updated recently, but some changes were present in map versions uploaded to the forum after October 31, 2019)
Many monsters of the Mercenary faction have been added/replaced.
Some Mercenary heroes have been rebalanced. The class of the Andra hero has been changed.
The scenario for a potential battle with the Mercenary leader, Siren, has been changed. Now, a message is displayed during the battle about the stolen artifact (without it, this battle is intended to become impossible for the player, as Siren may be involved in further quests from Vano. However, the possibility of fighting the Mercenary leader has been left in place, for overall consistency with the map's story).
The monsters of the Cyborg hero have been replaced. Now, he is guarded by only 2 stacks of creatures, in a small number.
One of the monster types in the X-10 laboratory has been replaced. Now, in addition to zombies, you will have to fight a Drone-Overseer X-10.
The visuals and locations of some artifacts that provide resources have been changed.
The specializations of some heroes from the Mercenary and Monolith factions have been changed.
The battlefield has been reworked; the Defs and parameters of creatures in the Battle for the Oasis event have been changed.
The Def and parameters of the Archangels have been changed.
The "Random Hero" script has been fixed (in the latest map modification, some starting AI heroes were changed, but the hero number of Rashka in this script was not changed. This led to a situation where he could be involved in this script and "physically fly off the map").
The "Random Hero" script and "Neutral Enhancement" have been generally made more difficult, starting from level 30 of the Marked One (enhancement occurs every 5 levels, up to and including 50).
About ten creatures have been changed (Defs, special abilities, upgrade paths, and names have been changed).
Descriptions have been added for some in-game events, including introductory dialogues.
Part of the "War Machines I" script, concerning the ballista, has been reworked. Now, the chance for the Judgement ability is 50%, and a message is displayed in the battle log when it is activated, and a unique animation is played. A description of the Judgement ability's mechanism can be found in the introductory dialogue and in the text file included in the archive.
An animation has been added for the "Deadly Poison" ability of the Winged Gorgon creature.
Animations and sound effects for the abilities: Regeneration, Resurrection, and Vampirism have been changed.
An animation has been added for the ballista with the Artillery skill when the target's speed is reduced.
Sound files have been added for some of the changed creatures to match their appearance (the sound of a chainsaw for the zombified, etc.).
The starting artifacts and portraits of some heroes participating in the "Random Hero" script have been changed.
The "Random Heroes" and "Neutral Enhancement" scripts have been adapted for the BattleReplay plugin (an update by PerryR) for most battles (for those battles that do not support replay, an additional notification is usually displayed). Due to the BattleReplay being enabled by default, the Eagle Eye skill has been disabled and Homestead has been added.
The method of activating the dialogue for choosing a build for Klyak has been changed. Now, the change occurs by clicking the right mouse button on the "next hero" icon (the icon's Def has been changed to visually represent the changed properties of the key).
The parameters of the Azure Dragon have been changed. The composition of troops, secondary skills, and spells of the AI hero Koschei have been changed. Some creatures on the adventure map have been replaced. The parameters of the Monolith Prophet creatures have been changed. The spawn of anomalies has been removed after a certain stage of the storyline mission (joining Klyak).
The ability to resist blindness has been added to the pseudohounds in the "tunnel with a controller on the Radar" event.
The area with the Brokhild hero has been redrawn (the sanctuary has been removed, and other objects have been added: decor + utilitarian).
The chance for the ballista's "Judgement" ability has been increased to 50%. When a judged creature is resurrected during battle, its color is changed to gray to visually indicate that THIS creature will not be able to survive this battle.
A message has been added to the "Joining the Guide" event with the possibility of creating a "Control Point," in case the subsequent quest from Vano leads to the impossibility of further progress (this is a rare case, but possible).
The parameters and special abilities of the Overseer X-10 creature have been reworked.

Changes list from 02/24/20:
The map has been adapted for ERA 2.9.10.

For those who downloaded the map version 2.9.5, but played on the ERA assembly version 2.9.9 and higher: errors in the standard part of the "War Machines I" script have been fixed, and the method of activating battle tracks in story battles has been corrected.
General changes:
Additional quests have been added to "level up" Fang's skills: "Rescuing Vasilyev's group" and "Helping someone lost in the Oasis".
When approaching the territory of the mercenaries, a message is displayed explaining which quests are needed for the maximum "leveling up" of Fang.
The method of obtaining the Gladius of the Titan has been changed. Now, to obtain it, you need to fight the Guardian of the Blades. A battle with the hero Forty has been added. For some battles, information is displayed on special conditions necessary to win them (minimum amount of Magic Power).
Many text and sound hints/triggers have been added for some buildings and monsters on the adventure map.
The text part of the plot has been partially rewritten to match the voiced plot lines.
Due to the updated method of generating random numbers, introduced in the latest versions of ERA, the bonus for deactivating anomalies for the hero Vano has been changed.
Many units have been added/replaced.
The ability of the Blind Dog has been changed for the final battle with the Controller in Vano's quest (to better match the intended scenario for this battle).

Changelog for 04/30/20:

Revised locations/parts of locations: "Dolga" Garrison in the tunnels, Brokhilda Outpost, Styg's Warehouse.
Added/redrawn many decorative elements to many areas of the map.
Almost all hero figures (including the Marked One) displayed during combat have been reworked.
The set of secondary skills available for learning by default has been changed.
Commander artifacts' bonuses have been changed, in accordance with the previous point.
Scripts have been reworked:
"Random Hero": the method of generating the chance of appearance and the drop of a specific defender hero archetype has been changed. Heroes are divided into archetypes depending on their specializations (attack, defense, ranged attack, magic, hypnosis).
"War Machines I": the script has been almost completely changed, except for one of the functions. The main idea remains the same. The method of leveling up machines has been changed; now, this can be done by visiting the "Skadovsk Workshop" object. In addition, with each level, the cart and ballista receive additional buffs in the form of enchantments. Now there is an opportunity to "transfer" improvements for machines if the player, after a breakdown, can buy their basic version before entering a new battle.
Some of the scenarios of certain story battles have been changed/refined: "Tunnel with Controller on Radar," "Blade Guardian," "Warden X-10," "Oasis Guardians," "Vano's Battle in the Recruitment Bunker," "Battle with Poltergeist."
Some monsters have been reworked (visuals/abilities).
Added quests to transfer ownership of resource mines.
Added quests in locations with Brokhilda, Styg, near the Oasis, and AgroProm. Some of them are a chain of quests and have become mandatory for story progression.
Many hints for various objects have been added. Some of the hints change depending on whether the player has interacted with them (for quests, such hints have 3 options: BEFORE visiting, AFTER visiting, and AFTER completing the quest).
The visuals and special abilities of many artifacts have been changed, and many artifacts have had their position on the hero's doll changed and bonuses added to minimize the need for daily "re-equipping" of the doll.
For some artifacts, the bonuses vary depending on which hero owns them. Some artifacts have negative bonuses if equipped on the main hero; some have received a "named" attachment and are only activated by the owner. Some artifacts add a short-term burst to the owner, allowing for the planning of the upcoming battle (they replace an artifact with a similar mechanic with a permanent bonus with an artifact with short-term but enhanced modifications. The player is left to decide whether to "rush" as much as possible in the first rounds or get a stable bonus throughout the battle).
Some of the changed artifacts (appearance and descriptions) are presented in the images in the header of the topic.
The resource bonuses for winning in the "Crypt," "Demon Lair," and "Grotto" buildings have been reduced.
The sets of artifacts have been changed, and the reward for winning in the "Snake Enchantress Tower" building has been adjusted.
The bonuses from deactivating anomalies for the hero Vano have been changed.
Descriptions regarding recommendations for choosing and setting up the HD mod and connected plugins have been changed/added.
Simulations of interactive communication between the NPC issuing the quest and the player have been added (the main idea was proposed by Bes). Now, after the player who has arrived on the PDA is notified of the event, the player can respond to the NPC by manually typing a response in the game chat and immediately begin completing the quest.

There may be other changes compared to the previous version (I don't remember them all, and I don't keep a specific list).

Some locations have been redrawn/modified: Zaton, Radar, all tunnels including the vicinity of Pripyat. (mainly using decorative elements from the game Fallout 2)
Quest chains have been added/expanded:
Holrst's story / his hideout - experimental device / X-10 / X-13.
Helping the Lost One in the Oasis / examining the amulet / info crystal / bunker.
Additional battle options have been added for the "standard ending".
Additional conditions for the composition of troops have been added for the "standard ending" if Grom is NOT undead (depending on the completion of Vano's personal quest).
The condition for the "story ending" has been changed (completion of X-13, with a mandatory "favorable" outcome for Grom + his upgrades).
7 artifacts have been added/modified.
The "Monsters with Artifacts" script has been disabled.
The resource accumulation/acquisition system has been reworked (it has become more demanding in terms of the player's planning of expenses in the later stages of the game).
Bonuses have been added for defeating random heroes (in connection with the rebalancing of the economic system).
"Anomaly-limiters" have been inserted in some areas of the locations, for a more linear playthrough (judging by the feedback, excessive freedom may turn out to be "detrimental" to some playthroughs).
A panel with general, standard information descriptions for the map has been added (PDA icon on the control panel).
Minor adjustments have been made to the possible routes for the AI player, Sanya-Void.
Some Defs for heroes in battle have been changed (again).
Several new creatures have been added/modified.
There may be something else, but I don't remember the rest...

Update from 08/31/20:

The map has been adapted for ERA 3.0.3.
The conditions required for the correct activation of the mod have been changed – disabling “standard for the assembly” mods and plugins (see the forum’s main page in the map thread; similar descriptions can also be found in the text file in the map archive).
Many explanatory dialogues, color highlights in dialogues, and many texts on the map have been added. These changes apply to quests, including intermediate ones (providing the possibility of a “branching” storyline), descriptions of artifacts (explanations of the task and the mechanics of the artifact), introductory technical dialogue windows, memos (right-click on the quest log on the adventure map), and keys to change the “build” for Klyk, and objects on the map.
Objects – limiters – have been added to avoid situations where the player could deviate from the main storyline, thereby causing the likelihood of “negative” consequences for the playthrough.
Many hints have been added to right-click on most storyline objects (the hints are dynamic and change depending on the player’s actions).
The armies in the garrisons of the settlements Contrabas City and Agroprom Research Institute have been changed (previously, there was a possibility of “changing” the starting troops in these cities if neither the AI nor the player captured them for a long time).
The artifacts, composition, and some abilities of the troops under the control of the AI hero Das have been changed.
The descriptions of some artifacts have been changed to better match the story.
The routes of the AI hero Sanya Pustota have been adjusted to more clearly fulfill the function assigned to him.
The reward for winning in the structures “Demon Treasury,” “Hidden Stash,” and “Grotto” has been reduced.
The “standard” condition for losing due to not completing the scenario within the time limit has been changed. The time limit itself has been left, but now it starts dynamically in the “second” half of the scenario, allowing the player to start more “comfortably” at the initial stage.

Update from 12.11.20:

Description of changes compared to the previous official mod release (some of the changes were available for some time, but were not officially announced).
--------------------------------
Now the map-mod is delivered as an installer for a complete game build based on ERA 3.1.2.
The first (there may be more) separate downloadable add-on has been created (the save is located in the game folder). The add-on becomes available for completion after successfully completing the "Bunker of Dreams" quest. If you try to load it without completing this quest, the player will receive a message about how to activate this quest, and after interacting with the plot object, the game will end in a loss.
Many previously existing tips for creature abilities have been added to better understand their features.
Some game interface elements have been changed (to better match the mod's style).
The method of increasing the hero's morale and luck parameters using objects on the adventure map has been changed. Now, when visiting the "Fountain of Luck" or "Blessing of Venus", the bonuses are added to the initial ones during combat, rather than being permanently set to "+3" as before.
In connection with these changes, the mechanics of receiving a negative morale value when entering anomalies have been reworked. Now, when "unsuccessfully entering an anomaly," the Marked One loses one unit of morale and may additionally lose another morale point if Grom is also injured in the process.
The total "demoralization" value during anomalous effects cannot drop below "-4".
The Guitar artifact has been added. It allows you to take a break once a day and give the Marked One a "morale break". The hero loses half of his remaining turn, the player can listen to one of the guitar compositions (15-40 seconds), and the Marked One restores his mental balance (the total morale value, taking into account all bonuses, becomes equal to zero). This rest can only be taken if the Marked One has a negative morale value.
A glossary has been added for some unique monsters (with mechanics for changing behavior during combat depending on their health status).
A replay function has been added for some plot battles that did not previously support it (Battle with the Magpie, battle with the Blade Guardian, Tunnel on the Radar, Vano's battle in the hiring bunker, battle with the Wasteland Guardian).
Some battle scenarios have been changed/adjusted (Magpie, tunnel with the controller, Vano in the hiring bunker, battle with the poltergeist in the Agroprom dungeon), as well as in the additional quest "I Am the Shooter" (all battles have a choice of several ways to complete them).
Temporary (dynamic) tips have been added for some creatures during plot battles, depending on the player's previous "choice".
----------------
19 combat arenas have been added for some plot battles (some have been changed compared to their unofficial announcement)

[spoiler=Preview of plot battlefields:]

Battle with Sancho in the novice camp (Shevchenko)

Battle with the Medusa

Battle in the Oasis

----------------

"I Am the Shooter" (version with the Blind Dog)

"I Am the Shooter" (version with Grom's battle)

"I Am the Shooter" (version with a conversation with Sakharov)
