At a more professional level, the downsides include simplified physics. For example, you can't jump around on walls. And subjectively, the Unreal Engine 3 feels rubbery and unpleasant. Also, people say that there aren't that many players on the servers, but I can't judge that. Still, I played it and enjoyed it (I'm a die-hard fan, after all).

I played a bit of deathmatch in Unreal Tournament 3, and I totally dominated some noobs. Yes, it's from 2004, and the graphics are dated. But I'm having some issues with vertical sync; the graphics are stuttering. It's strange. Specifically, the graphics, the redrawing, or whatever it is, because there are no actual slowdowns or lag, everything runs smoothly otherwise.

Okay, VisTritu gifted me the game yesterday. It has some interesting elements, it's addictive, although the game itself is quite simple. Well, actually, if you learn to fight using their incredibly complex and advanced system, you can do quite well. I think the REALISM is really well done here, because you can't just jump in and start fighting effectively; you have to learn how to fence first. They would be better off learning in real life than playing this. There are a lot of bugs; often something doesn't work, from the ability to write in chat to blocking attacks. Playing with four people doesn't make much sense; it's better to have at least ten people. But even with four people, you can still have fun. If anyone wants to join, feel free, but I won't be gifting any more games, because I'm out of games to gift. It's quite expensive, though, 450 rubles.
