Guys, it's mid-January, and there's practically no information about CIS 2017. I'd like to know if there are any people interested in organizing it, even though it's not a particularly rewarding task. Or should we start making other plans for May? If anyone is considering it, please post in this thread. The main thing is not to delay, as it's very difficult to organize such an event in just a couple of months. Maybe some helpers will appear. I can offer advice based on my experience organizing CIS 2016, so that we don't repeat the same mistakes.
It's still more accurate to compare two-person rooms. Last year, we didn't stay in five-person rooms (that must have been quite an experience, I'm sure).
You can rent a two-person room at Oxygen for 3800 rubles, which is 1900 rubles per person, if you prefer more privacy.
You can rent a double room for 3800 rubles, which is 1900 rubles per person, if you want more privacy.
Yes, I noticed. But the initial calculation was made for a six-person room (or five, I don't remember, it doesn't matter). If we are going to compare it with previous CIS events, we should set equal conditions.
I love everyone, of course, and I miss you all very much, but 10 days is definitely too much. I think it should be no more than 6 days, and preferably 5.
How do you envision it? A whirlwind tour across Europe with three rounds?
What's the problem? If the organizer isn't lazy and keeps the players engaged, 5 rounds can be played comfortably over 5 full days of gameplay. Add half a day for arrival and departure, and you get the format of Ekaterinburg-2012.
Arrival is one day before, departure is the same, 5 rounds each day – that makes a week in total. Although, if we choose Volgograd, I would like to visit Mamayev Kurgan on May 9th.
I won't be able to answer everyone and everything, so tomorrow I'll do a stream on my channel where, in a dialogue with Kirill (if he has the time and desire), we'll answer all the questions, and afterwards I'll post a video and a link to download it.
10 days is a very long time and will definitely deter some people who might have been able to attend. Not everyone will be able to spare that much free time, and the additional costs associated with such an extended duration are also a factor. In my opinion, the maximum reasonable duration for a tournament is 7 days, including travel time.

Firstly, I suggested 9 days, not 10. Secondly, many people arrived last year 1-2 days before the tournament and left 2-3 days after it ended, so all the talk about it being too long is contradicted by the facts. Okay, I'll write tomorrow what time we'll be communicating.

The number of participants is determined by the entry threshold – how much the minimum program will cost if you take the cheapest room, come only for the days of the games, and don't order any additional entertainment.
I would really like to come ))) Where can I check the dates and the cost????? And what are the conditions??? or can anyone who wants to come?
The event dates are May 06-14, 2017. The venue, as well as the final budgets, have not yet been determined. There are two applications to host - Volgograd and Yekaterinburg. The organizing committees are working on drawing up preliminary estimates and negotiating with the administrations of the proposed bases. You can register for the event both as a spectator and as a participant. A participant's costs differ from a spectator's costs solely by the amount of the contribution to the prize fund.
Added 1 hour 7 minutes later Attention to organizers, potential participants and spectators!
With your permission, we are giving the organizers until February 1 to answer all questions from the public and to make necessary clarifications with the base owners. By February 1, I recommend posting the most detailed estimate possible. Based on average current ticket prices from major transport hubs. A breakdown of accommodation prices. Food prices. Conference hall costs. In short, all the "must-haves" (including the general banquet, if it is announced).
All other possible monetary expenses.
Also, we are interested in the vision for the main tournament's rules.
On February 1, a vote will be announced for the location of the CIS-2017 Championship for the computer game "Heroes of Might and Magic 3". The vote will last 5 days and will end on February 6 (so that those who do not have a particular opportunity to read the forum on weekdays can vote over the weekend) - exactly 3 months before the start of the event: we will have time to get inexpensive plane and train tickets. The vote will be conducted using a points system. The value of each vote is determined by the total number of CIS Championships attended (with accommodation at the immediate event location). In other words, 3 attended CIS events (with accommodation) = 3 points per vote. 5 attended CIS events = 5 points. Without attending CIS events = 0.25 points per vote, provided you have been registered on HeroesWorld for at least one year.
