Many know Fabris as a strong and courageous Knight, but few know the true secret of his skill. Fighting against the numerous monsters of Ashan, he knows the weaknesses of each of them perfectly. Sometimes it seems as if he himself took part in the creation of these creatures.

In the new version, a new hero from the Sylvan Faction awaits us all - Kennent
Luck has favored this half-elf since childhood, making him an elusive nightmare for the merchants of the Eridan Pass. After joining the Black Fang, Kennent became adept at relieving people of their purses with the same ease he used to steal buns. This continued until he tried to rob a druid living in the neighboring forest. Whether it was a revelation from Silanna or a call of blood, after that meeting, something made Kennent abandon his old life and head to Irollan. There, he managed to rise to the rank of Emerald Knight, bolstering the elven forces with his unprecedented luck.
P.S. Also, the hero from the Dungeon Faction - Sigrif will have his own individual portrait!
Sigrif dreamed of great deeds, and fortunately (or perhaps not), he lived in a time when many dreams came true. Unfortunately, there were many opportunities to perish in obscurity, but Sigrif, remembering his famous ancestors, decided to achieve no less glory. His followers are devoted to him for his ability to make decisions and the royal blood that flows in his veins.
If dividing into classes with major changes, as I suggested earlier, is unnecessary, then we can give other unique features to races within factions. For example, the Djinn race (they are currently in the Academy faction) could be given increased mana regeneration.
Essentially, these would be like cross-faction sub-classes.
Decided to try playing with this mod. I don't understand why, in multiplayer, the Caldoin specialization from The Eastern Expedition works, but the Vicornia and Halfas specializations don't (haven't tested others yet). I have HoMM 5 Gold Edition + the latest version of the EWA mod.

I decided to try EWA first; everything seemed fine, but something was missing. I also wanted to add new heroes and test NHF at the same time. I think I saw somewhere that they don't conflict with each other. But, as it turns out, the specializations of some heroes, or maybe almost all of them, don't work.
Added 9 minutes later
I'll try disabling the MegaAI scripts now; maybe it will work.
But I can configure the compatibility of NHF and EWA by removing scripts from EWA, such as MegaAI and other unnecessary things. (EWA doesn't need to be edited for this).
