You don't need to be a chef to say that the food is terrible.
Absolutely. But at least once in your life, you need to try this food; otherwise, the person saying it's terrible is just talking nonsense. So, this example doesn't hold up.
New here? I'm Roha — want a quick tour?

He stated it bluntly. Cobra is already planning the restructuring, and Peterius is already planning to hold Tournaments. Aren't you taking on too much? Well, at least Cobra held a vote, where his idea is currently being rejected, but Peter, where are you going to hold these Tournaments?
LOL! 40% voted FOR this? Two years ago, I wouldn't have expected even 20%! What does this say? It shows that the average skill level of players has significantly increased, and people understand that in Hero League, both players need control in the late game! Or at least a guaranteed chance of getting it (this provides comfort in a difficult/bad situation).
When I started the poll, my primary goal was to gauge public opinion; at the time, I wasn't sure if people wanted the change, but the support in this thread gave me confidence! The idea should be implemented in one form or another. We are ready to discuss the implementation to ensure it satisfies all players, but in a constructive manner!
If I haven't convinced you, my next post will be about the quality of the players who voted FOR. It seems logical that their votes should carry slightly more weight than those who voted AGAINST and have 0 posts.
)))))
P.S. But I don't want to resort to personal attacks.
If I haven't convinced you, my next post will be about a quality roster, featuring those who voted FOR. It seems logical that their votes should carry slightly more weight than those who have 0 posts and voted AGAINST.
But seriously, I think it's enough to argue, create a checkbox, and run a couple of trial Tournaments over the year; it will show. And then, after those who participated in these Tournaments, conduct a vote, but not among trolls and those who haven't tried, IMHO.

Players who voted against it are, in principle, mostly casual players and not members of the Administration Committee:cool: :smile20: :smile20:
1) Call it something else, not SOD, but at least SOD++, and indicate that this is a SOD mod, not a classic one.
2) Don't interfere with SOD (in official tournaments), stand aside, create your own tournaments "SOD++ Tasting" and so on.
Any significant changes to the rules are made by voting. And everyone who wants to can vote, as far as I remember. When did we start having "chosen ones" whose vote should carry more weight?
No one can stop you from creating a checkbox. It's your personal business. Conducting your own tournaments, if you decide to take it on, is also not prohibited. The main thing is that there are organizers and people who want to participate, and there will definitely be plenty of them.
But please, don't decide for everyone what and how things should be in official tournaments.

The same as above, create a checkbox, create your own tournaments. In a year, create a vote. If people are drawn to the changes, that's good, if not, that's also good, time will tell. But there is no need to divide the votes into "chosen ones" whose votes are counted, and "just some random people" whose votes are not counted. There is no need to divide the players into two categories, we are all playing the same game.
I see that some people don't understand the situation... unfortunately, there are too few options in the poll, so it's impossible to properly separate the opinions: "personally, I don't want restructuring, but those who want it can check the box and play" and "I'm against even having a checkbox for restructuring, because it will lead to attempts to push it into official Tournaments."
Personally, I agree with point 2, that is, I believe that the restructuring functionality shouldn't even be created as an option.
Here's the situation: there's Vasya, who only plays SoD, and nothing but SoD. He has every right to do so, because his personal desire is a necessary and sufficient condition; he doesn't have to justify it, he just wants to and that's it. And since it's boring to play alone, he participates in Tournaments, of which there are about 15 a year.
In theory, Vasya doesn't mind if someone plays with restructuring. After all, some people play Dota, some people are into other things, everyone has their own thing, and it's difficult and unproductive to forbid it.
But in practice, the attempt to introduce restructuring will lead to Vasya's favorite Tournaments being taken away from him. First, opponents will start persuading him: "come on, let's play with restructuring...", he'll have to fend off each one, then they'll put up a poll: "maybe we should play Favorites with restructuring?", and then some organizer will say: "now Favorites is played with restructuring, those who don't agree can not sign up." That's it...
Therefore, if you want to introduce something new, you need to:
1) Call it something else, not SoD, but at least SoD++, and make it clear that it's a mod of SoD, not the classic version.
2) Don't interfere with SoD (in official Tournaments), stand aside, create your own Tournaments, "SoD++ Tasting" and so on.
At the same time, this will allow not only to introduce restructuring, but also other things that are being suggested (troop experience, for example :smile04:).
I agree, it’s not necessary, but I didn’t start publishing the lists first.))
What I really don’t want is any kind of schism, so I suggest we come to a peaceful agreement, but my opponents aren’t listening:smile32:
but the lists started being published by supporters of the changes, and they framed it as everyone who voted against didn't understand the game. Check out Javdet's earlier posts.
What I don't want most of all is for any kind of schism to occur, which is why I suggest we come to a peaceful agreement, but my opponents aren't listening:smile32:
Official tournaments are mainly organized by Romantic, Dirty, and Pete, and they are all against restructuring. So, the apologists of traditional SOD have nothing to worry about.
In the end, the option for a second level exists and doesn't bother anyone.
When they provoke with all sorts of nonsense, it's sometimes hard to restrain yourself.
