The founder of the Federative Republic of Rex Ventorum — Lucius Cornelius Sulla and his numerous followers planned to abandon mandatory service in the country's armed forces, however, with the transformation of the FRRV into an empire, the approach to this issue changed radically. All young men and women (in the FRRV and during the rule of the board of directors, military conscription for women was absent) of the EC category undergo basic training upon reaching sixteen years; during this period, they are provided with all necessary information so that they can decide when and where they wish to continue their military career.
