Maybe that's the case; I managed to open the launcher as an archive, and there's almost understandable text inside, but I can't figure out how to display the symbols correctly. I've tried all the options in the office. Here's an example: EXP####AI: Hero visited Sphinx and got ####(invalid choice)####Defence +2##Attack +2###AI: Hero visited Arena and selected #### (invalid skill)#### (invalid learn result)# and already knows # and learned nothing#### (invalid inputs)### and learned ###AI: Hero visited Witch Hut##entered#Sanctuary###pursues fleeing monster#no skill or perk was selected###selected skill/perk %s (mastery %d, value %d)###no skills or perks available####available skill/perk: %s (mastery %d, value %d)#level up####attribute: %s###Spellpower##Knowledge###Offence#Defence#got from chest##%i EXP (instead of %i GOLD)#garrison visited / creatures swapped####heroes
What does this mean, and how can I read it properly? Does anyone know?
Is it worth editing the program, or should I look for specific configurations?

Yeah.
integer
-2, 147, 483, 648 .... 2, 147, 483, 647
Level 40
1,216,586,989
and level 41
2,147,483,647
What a coincidence )))
The hero works normally even with negative experience, which means that for RPG maps, etc., this is an additional advantage, as you don't need mods, scripts, or other complex things to reach level 1 quickly.
I have a question: how is this calculated? I mean, how can I calculate the relationship between levels? Is there some kind of general multiplier? Or a sum that could relate levels 24 to 40?
Maybe it’s possible to change the integer? Or is it impossible (I don’t understand this very well, so I’m just thinking like a regular user)?
I was looking for such a mod, but I couldn’t find it :(
Now anyone can reduce the amount of experience required to gain a level:smile01:. For this, you need a HEX editor or, more simply, HxD. Find the string at Offset(h): 0074BBB3 -F4 and play around with this value;) I don’t remember which levels it changes:smile32:, and there is another value at offset(h): 0074BBCD, it seems to be 18 by default, I set it to 10 to level up the hero faster:smile49:. All this is for version 3.1 of the game... But it’s more complicated with the maximum level; I tried disassembling it:D, but I don’t understand what’s what:confused:. For example, what are Strings, what do they change, and why are they all equal to zero:eek:? I found several that somehow relate to experience, for example: MaxExp,0 HeroExp,0 ExpTooltip,0, etc. I don’t remember, maybe I’m repeating myself, but I probably didn’t find such messages from myself. And a question for everyone who knows about programs and how they work: is it possible to change this String, which is equal to 0 by default, to 1, i.e., to enable something:smile33:?
Added 16 minutes ago and here is another question: What are References?
Added 12 minutes ago And also, maybe it’s not relevant, but who knows:smile08:? What does the profile name Mark Adler give? It seems like it should give something, and the folder name in the profiles changes, but what are the bonuses from this:smile41:?
So, what exactly do you need? Maybe I can help, even without a disassembler?) (For example, I figured out how to raise undead, and now the game is almost like the third installment.)
What do you mean? Insert bytes into the hexadecimal code? If I understand correctly, you want to do something like in trainers, right? One of the technologies used there is this: bytes are inserted at a specific address and offset, for example: 123005CH3:3C, data is inserted in reverse order (or in direct order, if the trainer is coded correctly), meaning that 9b 12 3C 8A is transmitted to 123005CH3:3C. Or, alternatively, you directly search for the address in a hex editor, for example, 0069B000, and then edit the values at that address. Am I understanding correctly? Or are you still trying to modify values through active memory?
A trainer is something similar, but for me, this method isn't very intuitive, to be honest. Although, I wouldn't mind more details in a private message.
Editing bytes is not the same. I need to add something. When I add, all the addresses in the file shift... Ideally, I'd like to create an editor that tracks the addition of bytes and corrects the addresses; that would be perfect. But I haven't figured out a simple algorithm for how to do that; it's very difficult to distinguish between address bytes and code bytes... Unless you start tracking this from the very beginning of the file, but then you'd have to write a full disassembler, which is not ideal.
As you know, the maximum hero level is 40. However, I once encountered an interesting situation: on my map, I added experience to a hero up to level 40 using the GiveExp command. The experience was added up to level 40. Dolmens and Silanna trees naturally stopped affecting the hero, but when hovering over the experience bar in the hero's information, the following text appeared: level 40 Experience: 1........./2......... (I don't remember the exact numbers). This indicates that there are levels 41 and possibly even higher levels in the game, they are just blocked. Question: is it possible to create a mod that would make the maximum level not 40, but a higher level?
Interesting observation, but if it was possible to increase the number of slots for new artifacts, then I think this is also possible.
