"Новичок-2014. Winter"

Greetings to all fans of Heroes of Might and Magic 3, future participants, and supporters of the traditional "Новичок" tournament. I hope the new season will once again delight us with great games and new discovery players.

This is our traditional, and also anniversary - tenth tournament for Новичок.
We do not have a precise and strict definition of who a "Новичок" is. This tournament is for those
- who only recently realized that you can play the favorite old game Heroes over the internet,
- who only recently found out that they are not the only one who can easily beat computers and that it's not so simple with a real person,
- who recently started playing with more than one or two heroes and building chains...

We do not invite fathers and grandfathers, we don't want to see clones, and would a medal obtained in such a dubious way even have value for a strong player?

The main goal of the tournament is to get to know each other and gain experience in communication and gameplay.

Winners of past tournaments:
"Новичок-2013. Summer" - The_
"Новичок-2013. Winter" - высокий
"Новичок-2012. Summer" - twaryna
"Новичок-2012. Winter" - 7z
"Новичок-2011. Summer" - Sky Pioneer
"Новичок-2011. Winter" - Sevensan
"Новичок-2010. Summer" - тенью бездомной
"Новичок-2010. Winter" - Сатир
"Новичок-2009. Summer" - Erdem

Participant Requirements.

1. A player registered on our forum or another gaming resource for no more than a year is considered a Новичок.
2. Players who have longer playing experience but wish to play in the tournament will be considered on an individual basis.
3. Already sufficiently strong players who have shown good results in any tournament are not allowed to participate.
4. A tournament participant must have at least one game in the seasonal rating according to HeroesWorld rules (you can play after registering). This is necessary to ensure that you are technically able to play online and have an understanding of World's rules. In separate cases, this criterion may be waived (if the player is known on other gaming resources and plays successfully there).
5. Players wishing to participate in the tournament agree to provide any additional information requested by the tournament judges.
6. Organizers reserve the right to refuse registration to anyone if they believe there are valid reasons, without a public explanation of those reasons.

Applications should be left in this thread. In the application, specify:

1. ICQ number for contact;
2. convenient time for playing;
3. when the first online game was played;
4. if the participant came from another gaming resource, they must write where from and their nickname on that resource.

Organizational Issues.

1. Leads - The_ (IСQ 241568808), Lim4 (ICQ 451224720, creating and updating tables, tracking tournament results), Grizvald (ICQ 592025309, compiling the participant list and selecting players for participation in the tournament), Judges - Pit for LM (ICQ 471401475).
2. The tournament is held according to the Rules of organization, conduct and participation in HOMM3 online tournaments.
3. For each game played, participants must provide a detailed report and detailed confirmation in this thread. Only in this case will the game be counted.
4. Technical results are assigned for games not played within the established timeframe.
5. All tournament games go into the seasonal rating. The list of reports will be passed to the Rating lead. Do NOT duplicate reports in the seasonal rating.
All tournament reports must be written using the automatic report writing system.
6. Saves of all games must be kept until the end of the tournament and presented upon first request by the tournament leads, judges, or any member of the AC.
7. Disputable moments, if any arise, should be discussed off-forum. For a resolution, you must contact the tournament lead or judge via ICQ and provide daily saves, ICQ logs, and other necessary information.
The same judicial decision is made primarily based on the tournament rules. If the situation that arose is not regulated by the rules, the judges are guided by basic logic and gaming ethics.
8. Based on the results of the tournament, the winner will be awarded a "Winner of the Новичок Tournament" medal under their avatar

Regulations.

Stage 1. Group Stage.
All games in the group are played on template 2sm4d(3).
Each player in the group plays one game against all others. 1 point is awarded for a win, 0.5 to both for a draw, and 0 for a loss.

One week is given per game. Games can be played in any order.
If a player has not played the required number of games by the end of the current round, they must explain the reasons on the forum or by contacting the tournament leads personally. "Disappeared" participants will be disqualified and replaced by players from the reserve list.

Two players who scored the most points advance from the group to the playoffs. In case of equal points, places are distributed according to additional indicators (in order of priority):
1. Berger Coefficient (calculated only based on results shown in the group).
2. Head-to-head match.
3. Points earned in a game "weigh" more than technical wins.
4. Points earned in a game against the LM team.
5. If it is impossible to determine who advances to the playoffs based on the previous indicators, players will be offered a tie-break game scheme. At this moment, it is impossible to foresee all possible combinations of results. Therefore, the final scheme will be thought out according to the situation that develops in the groups by the end of the stage.
In this case, the seasonal (permanent) rating will play a major role.

Stage 2. Team Tournament "New Players" vs "Legends and Myths". The Новичок team, consisting of players who scored at least 2 points in the group stage, plays against the team of the best HW players.

Stage 3. Playoffs - 16 participants.
Matches are best-of-3 (first to 2 wins). Time limit per round is 2 weeks.
The Grand Final is first to 3 wins, starting with a score of 1-0 in favor of the upper bracket winner; i.e., the upper bracket winner needs to win 2 times, and the lower bracket winner - 3 times.

Dates.

Registration: December 28, 2013 - January 18, 2014.
Approval of participant list: January 18-22, 2014.
Group stage draw and start of the tournament: January 24, 2014.

Rules.

1. Game version. The tournament is held on game version SoD 3.2(4.0) + HD mod + by mutual agreement HW_rulez (For correct operation, the patch must be installed for both players), and by mutual agreement WT.
2. The tournament is conducted according to the rules of online games in Heroes 3.
3. Restarts total 3 days (111+111+111 or 111+112 or 113).
4. In the final part of the tournament, the template is chosen by a draw from a list of 5 templates: 2sm4d3, jebus Cross, Panic, 8mm6a, mini nostalgia.

All players on the tournament participant list must do the following:
1. Check if your ICQ number is entered in your profile; add it there if it is not.
If it is in your profile, a small green daisy - the ICQ symbol - is visible under the avatar. If not, you must follow the algorithm.
2. Leave an application in this thread. To do this, click the Register for tournament button located at the beginning of this thread.
3. To create a report, you will need to click the New report button located at the top of each page of the thread and fill in all necessary fields according to the template. After that, write your detailed comments on the game.
4. To confirm the report, the second player must find the game report, click the Confirm report button, and also write a detailed report.
5. It is considered good tone to thank the opponent for the game.

Spent all restarts on unbeatable blocks and it gave the same garbage: slow roads, Castle has a horde of hobbits + Castle archers + a block behind an obelisk + a horde of upgraded Lizardmen, which take each hero 1000 turns to bypass, and when I waited for turn 113 and Vivi and broke through all that, the next obstacle was 10-19 Monks with GS. So I spent the whole week on respawn — guarding an unblocked secondary Ice Tower! On turn 117 I took an external dwelling of Gorgons. Broke through Ice Towers on 2nd, then those Monks, then the same Monks again! on the second secondary (well yeah who else would be there, not Golems), the opponent already comes with normal stats + two Necromancers and Angels. There was nothing to do — I entered the Griffin Conservatory 2 on grass and lost (Taz rules with scouting). That's the normal template. Thanks for playing.

Upd: I made a mistake — the main is Moandor.

I took one restart, then we began.
Wolves were built, stables nearby, a spread of four heroes.
I collected the freebie from the respawn (part of it blocked) and went off-road into the depths.
On day 114 I took the view of my respawn on "continue" and was horrified to discover that I was already on a secondary town, but hadn't cleared the guard. I immediately gathered my troops, returned, and killed the lot of elves (at first I got confused and thought it was an off-road passage to Inferno, that's how perfectly they were positioned between the mountains and away from the Citadel lands; no, the lava behind them didn't bother me at all, I just didn't think about it while the timer was ticking). Screenshot of the mess.

I ran to consult with the hosts, ended up discussing the situation with my opponent, didn't insist on a tech-lock with Skroder, suggested we continue (the critical issues on the secondary town were a couple of stacks eaten and +1 Offense taken at the camp).

After that, I broke through to the ill-fated secondary town, built and shipped birds, wolves, and goblins home.
By the end of the week, I took an Inferno secondary town located along the road. I ran around there a bit, came home with Gunnisson to buy, while troops were trickling in from the secondary town; at home, birds in the Citadel.
On day 122 I see movement near the secondary town's guard. I leave my main in the castle, buy as best I can, hoping for the Citadel.
On day 123 the opponent arrives, doesn't attack, and runs away, leaving Labetha on the road with a handful of Centaurs. Full trade, upgrade the birds, hire Tyraxor from the tavern. I attack Labetha and with tactics and Haste kill her without losses. Then with Gunnisson I catch up to a nameless scout hero for a level and attack Sandro.

FB:
Gunni 8-1-4-(10), expert Offense, advanced Artillery, basic Earth.
12 birds, 30+ wolves, 22 orcs, 70 goblins.
Sandro 6-2-3-(2).
5 Efreeti, 9 Magogs, 50 skeletons, 30+ Gog.
Advantage in meat and combat stats; oil on reserve for insurance, GG.

Many thanks to my opponent for the game and understanding!

I hope no one will mind if I don't describe everything in detail; the only thing worth adding is that on turn 116, we merged in Nagabanka, and my opponent agreed to an auto-resolution on a draw.
Thank you for the game and the auto-resolution.

I took 3 respawns. Opponent took 2 respawns. Since I moved first, I had to play with a not-so-good layout. There were 2 Griffin Conservatories and 1 Dragonic. Roads were slow and there was nothing along the way; almost the entire respawn was off-road. Overall, nothing interesting happened (except for my blunder, which cost me a turn :D) and on 117 a message came that the opponent had surrendered.
Thanks for the game.

136 - almost everything in the treasure zone - building towards Dragon Utopia

Thanks for the game!
Was very afraid of the continuation, left with only 1 secondary town.

I myself pulled this off for the first time, the return is crazy - after 250 bones necro with Earth (+5% amulet +10% fur) - I dive into the Griffin Conservatory (-100, -200 skeletons = doesn't matter, immediately +60 +120 return... I took it by luck, not skill =).

Akella took 2 restarts, I did not take any.

On day 111 Tamika arrives and buys 5 heroes, Tamika advances Necro, I play. On the secondary towns there are guards that suit me perfectly - a horde of Castle archers and mages . So I raise Necro at the respawn on week 1, on day 116 I make a father's move: buy Centaurs, purchase Centaurs, buy out the hero, and then immediately sacrifice the Centaurs and the hero on 40 Dwarves for Spirit of Oppression and Gems :D

With Tamika I found and took the max Behemoth Hive on day 117, where I took some losses, but got +70 bones. Week result - Centaurs in the Citadel + 200 raised bones. At the start of week 2 I break through to the metro past 90 archers, losing a Centaur :smile34:, then comes the next father's move: I attack 120 rags with GS for Chain +4 and 2 Obelisks (why so many ) and the remaining 2 Centaurs die, along with some bones and half of the Marksmen. They give Earth. I captured Necro, built a Mage Guild there - no Slow, fortunately I had a Haste scroll, but there's no point hunting in the treasure zone without it since the army is only bones. By the end of week 2 I broke into the treasure zone, but there are only ranged guards + a Dragon Utopia. I broke back home, built the Mage Guild - again no Slow. Already about 400 bones. At the start of week 3 I went to take a secondary town with Mages - there in Conflux they give a Mage Guild. I break back into Necro and return to the treasure zone. There I stall until the end of week 4, since there was no logistics or speed artifacts. I took a box at full 3rd and 5th level, a Hive of 28 Wyverns, a level 1 Dragon Utopia with Red Boots, a Sword +5 All for 130 Angel Priests (next father's move: I forget they make spells more expensive and lose 200 skeletons when I realize I don't have enough mana for Raise!). Not a single Griffin Conservatory was found on the map in a month.

At the start of week 5 I break home, build Archers and break the home Dragon Utopia - they give a Captain's Hat, a Book of Air (when I already have Control in General anyway) and a Book of Fire . I didn't get an impressive stack of skeletons, since raising in the treasure zone didn't really work out, and there are barely any roads at respawns besides my own. Then I broke the Ghosts and took the main opponent's town, seeing through scouts that he was clearly stuck in the sand treasure zone for a long time.

Then I fly on Control to the opponent and catch Gurni without mana. My stats are higher (15 17 19 14), and army-wise: 600+ bones, 3 Archers, 28 Wyverns, 15 King Minotaurs, 8 Champions, 50 Marksmen, 30 Crusaders. The opponent has 8 Bears, 25 Thunderbirds, and about 50 Wyverns + no mana.

Thanks for the game!

The retreat was significant: both chose all their rests + on my side there was a restart along one road in ГО + rest upon meeting. As a result, the middle roads were given up; it's just a huge respawn, but the only interesting things on it are crypts and an external dwelling of spears. I chose Pasis for mains and didn't actually miss out: at lvl 4 he grabbed earth, and from the prison on the respawn I pulled out Arlash with a ballista, which eventually helped a lot in breaking through blocks. The roads are very winding, so I only reached the secondary (which turned out to be native) by week 2, but with stats around 11 11. On week 1, horses were at home in the fort. At the secondary, I immediately hit a block of 120 fire-shooters behind a +6 shield and a scroll. I killed them, losing 1 horse through stupidity + some spears and the ballista. At the secondary, I also found a cloak +2 to speed and ribs behind an horde of pits. I leveled up with Pasis, made back money, took a medusa dwelling, a ring +1 hp; meanwhile, I smashed 2 losers against the pits (there's GS). At 127, I killed the pits without losses and broke back into mains to replenish mana (the ГМ has slow, expert earth). On week 3, I fought my way to the dungeon-secondary (the guard was 80+ gogs, so I didn't risk it earlier); there are 2 nagash dwellings, I took them and thereby significantly improved my economic situation. I cleared the prison with papal Aeris with exp. scouting + a spyglass had been cleared previously. From the dungeon-secondary, there are 2 exits to treasure zones; in one (underground), I immediately used Aeris to spot a +4 all shield and a couple of uliks; the other treasure zone on the surface is native! Feeling inspired, I went straight underground, took the shield and ulik at 8 vivs (didn't go for the second ulik behind wizards). Then I started clearing the native treasure zone, which turned out to be quite tasty. Right at the entrance, I finished leveling air (yes, Pasis leveled up great, they gave air in the end, although at first they pushed leadership and wisdom through the schoolboy, and I had already started to worry) and broke through 50-99 archmages, behind whom was a box for the full lvl 5! I also spotted КЗ behind 5-9 archangels. All of week 3-4 I hung out in the treasure zone (it turned out to be huge). But unfortunately, without Dragon Utopia. However, 4 angel external dwellings were taken, 1 horse one, handcuffs, a flask +2 hp, 3 hives, a library, and, essentially, КЗ. Further with full control it was just a matter of technique: I doubled the mana, went into the underground treasure zone where there was an ulik behind wizards, took it, next move I took Dragon Utopia, they gave complete garbage; nearby were boots and Pandora's box with 30 ghosts. All this time I monitored the opponent with views since he also had a double, but he sat in his own underground treasure and no strong growth of stats was observed until week 4 when he took Dragon Utopia with parameters. After the same-old Dragon Utopia, on the next move I did ДД to another; near it was a box with 15 power leeches, and next to the utopia a basin with 50-99 monarchs, 5+ hydras, 100+ gr. lizards and ones. I snatched the utopia from under his nose, but didn't decide to attack; there was a strong advantage in magic (impla at 2k+), but I feared КШ, and it turned out I feared for a reason. I flew home, shopped, upgraded everything that wasn't upgraded; meanwhile, the opponent ran ahead just so it would be more convenient for me to attack. On my turn, I covered him with handcuffs. In FB the ducks looked menacing, but other than them the opponent had nothing special; I had to endure 1 round when flies removed the counter-attack, blocked markovs, ducks crashed into my ducks, and lizards lost morale and halved my shooters. And then champs blocked the lizards, I piled everyone onto the monarchs and ГГ.

Thanks for the game!

At the secondary, I also found a Cloak of Velocity +2 and Ribs behind a horde of Pits. I leveled up Pasiss, collected money, took the Medusa Hovel, a Ring of Life +1, meanwhile I sacrificed 2 horses against the Pits (there's GS there). On day 127 I killed the Pits without losses and broke through to the main to replenish mana (the Mage Guild has Slow, Expert Earth). On week 3 I broke through to the Dungeon secondary (the guard was 80+ Gogs, so I didn't risk it earlier), there are 2 Naga Banks, I took them and thus significantly improved my economic situation. I captured a prison with Papist Aeris with Expert Scouting + a Telescope was captured earlier. From the Dungeon secondary there are 2 exits to treasure zones, in one (underground) I immediately used Aeris to reveal a Shield +4 All and a couple of clue artifacts, the other treasure zone on the surface was native! Encouraged, I immediately went underground, took the shield and a clue for 8 Vision (the second clue was behind Wizards — I didn't go for it). Then I started clearing the native treasure zone, which turned out to be quite tasty. Right at the entrance I leveled up Air magic (yes, Pasiss leveled up well, eventually got Air, although at the start I was pushed Leadership and Wisdom through a Scholar, and I was starting to worry) and broke through 50-99 Archmagi, behind them a box with all level 5 spells! Also revealed KZ for 5-9 Archangels. I hung around in the treasure zone for all of weeks 3-4 (it turned out to be huge). But, unfortunately, without Dragon Utopias. However, I took 4 external dwellings of Angels, 1 of horses, Shackles of War, a Potion of +2 HP, 3 Hives, a Library, and, of course, KZ. Then with full control it was a matter of technique: I doubled my mana, went into the underground treasure zone, where the clue was behind the Wizards, took it, the next turn took a Dragon Utopia, which gave complete junk, nearby Boots and a Pandora's Box with 30 Ghosts. All this time I kept control of my opponent through scouting, since he also had double, but he sat in his underground treasure zone and no significant stat growth was observed until week 4, when he took a Dragon Utopia with stats. After the junk Dragon Utopia, the next turn I cast Dimension Door to another one, near it a box with 15 Power Liches, and next to the Dragon Utopia a stack with 50-99 Monks, 5+ Hydras, 100+ Greater Basilisks, and singles. I took the Dragon Utopia from right under his nose, but didn't dare attack; I had a strong advantage in magic (Implosion for 2k+), but I feared Chain Lightning, and it turned out my fear was justified. I flew home, bought everything, upgraded everything I hadn't upgraded, meanwhile the opponent ran ahead, just to make it easier for me to attack. On my turn I trapped him with Shackles of War. In the final battle, the Flaming Lions looked formidable, but besides them the opponent had nothing special; I had to endure 1 round when the Gogs removed the retaliation, blocked the Marksmen, the Lions rammed into my Flaming Lions, and the Basilisks cast Forgetfulness and halved my shooters. But then the Champions blocked the Basilisks, I piled everything on the Monks and GG.

Thanks for the game!

I confirm. Money-wise it turned out decent, I ran around shaking down crypts; the blocks were very sad. On the second week, with a loss of Vision, I broke through Archmagi in the Dungeon, where there was an Inferno zone, bought Tazar's spell book there, got Earth magic, took Air from a Witch. The leveling was excellent, but the tough blocks plus the lack of anything on the respawn oppressed me. The first two weeks I just ran back and forth, took a Gold Mine, built Hydras (the castle was built in the first week). On day 131 I broke through to my native secondary through 20-59 Water Elementals, Fire Elementals, and Rakshasas, which were stacked together. I went into the treasure zone, took 1 Hive there, went into another; besides Hives, there was nothing interesting, so I went to take a Dragon Utopia. The Dragon Utopia gave a Regrowth Ring, a Red Sphere, a Shield +3, and of course the Captain's Hat. Encouraged by such a Dragon Utopia, I went and took a second one, shook down all the Hives, gathered 56 Vipers, and decided not to drag it out further, since the game turned out very long. I decided to meet my fate face-to-face, hoping for the Red Sphere and keeping an eye on the opponent's stats. From the overview I saw he had fewer than 50 Vipers, which also gave me hope. In the end, right from under my nose, the opponent cleaned out the Dragon Utopia, flew away with control, and then the outcome was clear. The final game was clear from the start, since Tazar had no Attack, but I fought to the end :smile13: Thanks for the game! My many mistakes and the opponent's native treasure zone decided everything.

The opponent spent all their rests. After their last restart, I think for a while about whether to take a rest or not. The respawn is on the surface. In a corner of the respawn, I find an external dwelling of bulls behind a lot of grand cows. I realize I can hardly take it on day 1 (in the end, I never got around to it). There is a Griffin Conservatory behind a group of snipers. Also, there are no blocks, there is a lookout near the town, and simple monsters guard the passage to the secondary resources. An unpleasant moment was the strategic lookout on the opponent's respawn, which, when they uncovered it, revealed a significant portion of my respawn (I see it from my own lookout). I ultimately decide not to take a restart.

I immediately send the Miner to the secondary resource. On day 112, I break through 2 guards (the secondary resource is underground) and encounter a block of a lot of grand fish (guardian in a treasure chamber through a portal). I break through them easily and see a Necropolis secondary resource. On day 113, I take the secondary resource, hire 2 heroes there, conduct reconnaissance, and realize that the respawn near the secondary resource is poor, so I decide to split the Miner and rush to another one, grabbing a +1 Defense boost along the way. On day 115, I break into the second secondary resource — it turns out to be a Citadel respawn, and around the same time, the opponent reveals Goshan in the tavern. (I'm furious that I didn't take the rest :smile51: ) At the Citadel respawn, I see a Conservatory, check it — 3-4 with a grand stack. By day 117, I take the secondary resource, scout the respawn, and have the Miner peek into the treasure chamber. Bulls appear in the Castle town, and that's the end of any construction, since there's no sulfur visible at all. (I did stick a Vortex with Guild level 1 in the main a bit later.) I quickly realize there's nothing much to catch in the treasure chamber, so I turn around and go to take the Dwarf Cottage, leaving a scout hero to explore the treasure chamber. The scout hero doesn't find anything particularly good, except for a Book of Fire + there's a boost on the Citadel respawn, and a Dragon Utopia opens up there too, but none of this will be taken in the end. On day 125, Goshan catches my scout hero in the treasure chamber, having previously grabbed a mini Dragon Fly Hive (he has 200 skeletons, an angel, 5 Necromancy horses, 4 ducks). I rush the Miner to the native Conservatory (it's minimal), take it. I decide to take the 3-4 Conservatory by the start of week 3. Meanwhile, Goshan disappears somewhere from the treasure chamber. I recover the +4Kn helmet with the scout, put a Vortex on the Miner, and run to the Conservatory. The Conservatory is size 4, but it was dealt with easily. I decide it's time to visit the opponent (from the Citadel secondary resource, there's a passage to their main), after first running into the treasure chamber from the other side. In the treasure chamber, I find 2 Dragon Fly Hives, see Angel Wings behind a horde of genies and a level 5 hat + a prison behind a horde of wizards. On day 135, in full view of the enemy Moandor, I take all of this. It was a bit scary to fight the wizards (there turned out to be 80+ of them), but with Tactics + Oil, they were broken through easily. On day 136, I stand next to the mountains with a stack of 5 angels near the opponent's main, hoping to double-dose and take their main next turn, but the opponent spots me. 4 seconds before the end of my turn, Goshan hits me with 500+ skeletons, 21 ducks, and dirt. I only have enough gold to buy back 3 out of the 5 angels, so I throw 2 imps into the face of their ducks, lose 2 angels, and buy back. The opponent manages to kill another scout hero, but doesn't reach the main hero with the power stack. I quickly bring the power stack to the main, the opponent chases me, and on day 141 with the new growth, I attack Goshan. There's a Red Ball involved, but I have more meat, so Goshan buys back. I have 28 Medusas, 16 grand Minotaurs, 3 Angels, 26 Ducks, 40 grand Eyes, and a Miner at 10 10 5 6 against Gosha at 7 6 6 6 with a Duck, 12 Vampires, a Necromancy Horse, a Bone Dragon, 8 Liches, and 500 Skeletons. However, the opponent decides to continue. Then I run to their main and capture it. In Goshan's tavern, Fire Birds are revealed; I think it's a refuge, but after capturing their Conflux secondary resource, I see it's fully built (birds in the castle). I realize Goshan has fled to the swamp treasure chamber; meanwhile, I take all their towns, killing almost all their scout heroes, and essentially waste a week goofing off, fearing they might snatch a town. (If they had captured Conflux or Necropolis, it would have been tough for me.) In the end, on the last day, when the opponent has a chance to capture a town, I block the portal through which they could reach the nearest Castle, and they have no choice but to attack me. The force ratio is as follows:
Miner: (11 11 8 3) 24 grand Eyes, 24 Ducks, 4 Fire Birds, 12 grand Minotaurs, 11 Psychics.
Goshan: (15 10 8 8) 2 Fire Birds, 11 Ducks, 4 Necromancy Horses, 320 Skeletons.
The fireball was cast crookedly, but I still won in the end. The opponent has no chance left and types GG.

Thank you for a very intense game. It was tough! :smile04:

Thank you for a very intense game. It was tough! :smile04:

Confirmed.

Got lucky, Galthran appeared in the tavern after the start, he and Clavius both leveled up nicely. I carefully hid Gosh until day 114, only sending him around to upgrade structures.

I broke through to secondary towns by week two and started necromancy. On the Conflux secondary I took the Griffin Conservatory-2 without much trouble and headed into the treasure zone. There I ate a couple of Dragon Fly Hives and a box; since nothing tasty was visible, I ran to another treasure zone. Then a scout hero spotted the opponent in the same treasure zone, as well as Wings and a Helm. I didn't manage to pick them up because I was clearing a treasure zone at the other end of the map at the time. In that treasure zone I found several small Dragon Fly Hives, there were about 20 utopias. In the Dragon Utopia there I got the Book of Air, a Red Orb, and some junk.
On day 127 the birds were in Conflux, on day 137 they were in Castle. Skeletons and horses were shipped from home.

At the end of week three, I spot a suspicious flag on the opponent's secondary, I run over and look with a scout hero - Shaktiti is there on a rush.
Here I kind of messed up with the timer; in the end I managed to cast Dimension Door and attack, but I didn't equip the Red Orb, which cost me all the utopias, and I couldn't reach the enemy's main hero on the scout hero :( . I also had no mana left to Dimension Door back, so I had to take a hit. The opponent attacked with everything possible, and by then I had the Red Orb, but the trade was still not in my favor.
Then we saved, and I thought for a long time about what to do. I gathered everything I could into a stack, swapped, and ran to the swamp (native) treasure zone to look for stats and artifacts for the skeletons (I wanted to add something to the Rebreather and find Speed). In the treasure zone, the same mini Dragon Fly Hives, sketchy Pandora's Boxes, and some rotten stuff for stats. The only Dragon Utopia (1) had junk. I tried my best to conserve mana, Mysticism helped, but it still wasn't enough to get out of the treasure zone properly. And on the way to the exit, a pack of Arch Devils with Troll Faces was waiting for me, which I had to fight to get to the portal to the castle. They chewed me up pretty badly too.
As a result, on the last turn I run out of the treasure zone and run right into the opponent.
I tried to catch him with anti-morale (had a dragon), it worked a little, but overall the opponent had more meat, and the skeletons ran out.

Thanks for the game.

Group B

Akeila took 2 restarts, I did not take any.

On 111 Tamika arrives and buys 5 heroes. Tamika pushes Necro, I play. On the secondary zones there are guards that suit me perfectly - a horde of Castle archers and mages  . So Necro on the respawn on the 1st, on 116 I make a father's move: I buy cavalry, buy cavalry, buy out the hero, and then immediately sacrifice the cavalry and the hero on 40 dwarves for a Spirit of Despair and gems :D

With Tamika I found and took the maximum Behemoth nest on 117, where I took a bit of a beating, but got +70 bones. Result of the week - cavalry in the Citadel + 200 Necro-raised bones. At the start of the 2nd, I break through into the metro through 90 archers, losing a cavalryman :smile34: , then comes the next father's move: I attack 120 rag mobs with a Ghost Dragon for a Chain Mail +4 and 2 obelisks (why so many  ) and the remaining 2 cavalrymen, a few bones, and half the Marksmen die. They give Earth. I captured Necro, built a Mage Guild there - no Slow, luckily there was a Haste scroll, but there's nothing to do in the treasure zone without Haste since the army is only bones. By the end of the 2nd, I broke into the treasure zone, but there are only shooter guards + a Dragon Utopia. I returned home, built a Mage Guild - also no Slow. Bones are already about 400. At the start of the 3rd, I went to take a secondary zone with mages - there in Conflux they give a Mage Guild. I return to Necro and go back to the treasure zone. There I stall until the end of the 4th week, because there were neither Logistics nor speed artifacts. I took a box there for the entire 3rd and 5th levels, a Dragon Fly Hive for 28 Wyverns, a single Dragon Utopia with Red Boots, a Sword +5 All for 130 Apprentice Pegasi (next father's move: I forget that they make spells more expensive and lose 200 skeletons when I discover I don't have enough mana for Raise! ). Not a single Griffin Conservatory was found on the map in a month.

At the start of the 5th week, I return home, build Archers and break the home Dragon Utopia - they give a Captain's Hat, a Book of Air (when I already have Control in general) and a Book of Fire  . Didn't get an impressive stack of skeletons, because there wasn't much chance to Necro-raise in the treasure zone, and on the respawns there are hardly any roads besides the native one. Then I broke the ghosts and took the opponent's main, seeing in the scouting views that he was clearly stuck in the sandbox treasure zone for a long time.

Then I fly on Control to the opponent and catch Gurni without mana there. My stats are higher (15 17 19 14), and army-wise: 600+ bones, 3 Archers, 28 Wyverns, 15 King Minotaurs, 8 Champions, 50 Marksmen, 30 Crusaders. Opponent has 8 Bears, 25 Thunders, and about 50 Wyverns + no mana.

Thanks for the game!

I confirm,
on 3 respawns and 2 treasure zones it spawned not a single Griffin Conservatory and Dragon Utopias, Dragon Fly Hives on 3 respawns - 2 pieces, in 1 treasure zone 1 Dragon Fly Hive and 5 Dragon Fly Hives in the second treasure zone - RNG in all its glory =))))
thanks for the game.
