My favorite is Ilaya. The Lawkeeper of the Shadow-Marked clan. Her unwavering loyalty to Malassa is impressive. Plus, she so diligently protected Igg-Shail while Railag was hanging out at resorts with Isabel.

Sorry, does anyone know the name of the female knight heroine who has that "unconventional" hairstyle on the side, short, and with prominent cheekbones? I really like her, but I don't know who she is because she's not featured everywhere.

I like Vittorio. He has a good bonus, and the ballista is very powerful. The problem is that his catapult is most likely to waste a shot on an already destroyed wall.

I like heroes with logistics skills (Arghat, Rutger...) and those with high movement points, especially Vittorio, or Daleb, but she's better on smaller maps.

I like Letos: he has a good specialization and a decent starting skill.

Letos has a couple of significant drawbacks: one skill is lost, and there's no point in taking him against the undead.

Lethos, Argail, Marbas.

Each one is good in its own way, I agree. But those that offer immediate advantages for a specific map through specialization are, of course, more convenient.

Letos, Sinithar, Deleb, Jezebeth. From the Necropolis, I'll take Lucretia, because of the vampires.

The heroes from all the campaigns are great, but it’s a pity that you can’t take them and add them to single-player missions, for example, those created with a map generator.

Excluding the overpowered heroes from the campaigns, it's roughly like this:

I generally agree with the list above. But if you use a mod that unlocks campaign heroes for scenarios, then the campaign heroes are definitely better.

If we exclude the overpowered heroes from the campaigns, then it's roughly like this:

Inferno On a small map, Daleb; on a large map, Nimue.
Dungeon On a small map, Leto / Synitar; on a large map, Leto. Erin is generally not a good choice.
Sylvan On a small map, Ossir; on a large map, Wingael / Anwen.
Stronghold On a small map, Haggeh / Tilshek; on a large map, anyone except Argath.
Haven On a small map, Dugald; on a large map, Axel / Mive.
Underworld On a small map, Inga / Karli; on a large map, any dwarf except Swei with a mentor + Inga.
Academy On a small map, the one who casts fireballs / Hafiz; on a large map, it depends on the opponent.
Necropolis On a small map, it doesn't really matter who; on a large map, Lucretia.
