I recently watched the director's cut of The Lord of the Rings. Damn, it turns out the movies are actually good! And they're quite connected to the book, and they're also quite logical on their own. Overall, what came out in theaters would get a 7/10 from me, but the director's cut is a solid 9.
Were Bombadil and Beorn there? And is this not the version that includes Uglúk the Uruk-hai?

ЛИДЕР Клана"ХРАНИТЕЛИ НЕБЕСНЫХ ВРАТ" Рейтинг: ЛатникВступление в клан "Хранители небесных врат"
Watched the Lord of the Rings trilogy from Goblin.
Nowadays, the masses (and I can't avoid using this tired word) just want to criticize good films, make all sorts of "Goblin-style" translations, thinking it's hilarious. I'm not just talking about Lord of the Rings. They simply make films with soul, and Goblin, to put it bluntly, takes them, converts them into something understandable for these masses, turning them into soulless garbage.
There's nothing like that. And it's quite different from the book's content. Simply, if a person watches the director's cut instead of the theatrical version without reading the book, they will understand what's happening in the theatrical version. In other words, the cut scenes (not included in the theatrical version) allow one to logically understand the events unfolding on the screen...
There's only one major flaw, a truly epic one – the scene where Aragorn looks into the Palantír and says some aggressive nonsense to Sauron. He would never do that. In the book, he looked into the Palantír, yes, but there was no nonsense.
go and pray to God that he saves your soul.
Nowadays, the masses (and I can't avoid using this tired word) just want to create the most vulgar content possible, make all sorts of "goblin-style" translations, thinking it's funny. I'm not just talking about Lord of the Rings. They make films with soul, and Goblin, to put it bluntly, takes them, converts them into understandable crap without soul for the aforementioned masses.

Ment, the issue isn't about humor and its understanding. Even if there's some humor there, it doesn't matter. The point is that in some films, like Lord of the Rings, humor is completely inappropriate. None at all.

Stereotype. If the filmmakers wanted you to have certain feelings while watching the film, that doesn't obligate you to have them.
You probably don't even understand half of the humor in Goblin's translations due to a lack of erudition.
- I ONLY READ "KASHTANKA," I SWEAR!
*HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, THAT'S HILARIOUS!*
A funny translation turns a movie into a tedious, drawn-out mess, nonsense-nonsense-nonsense-JOKE, WE'RE LAUGHING-nonsense-nonsense-hrrr... "jokes" for about 7 minutes of the entire film, why watch the rest?
I couldn't force myself to finish watching the second part of the first film in Goblin's translation because it was incredibly boring. And I love Lord of the Rings.
I also couldn't finish watching the first Matrix in his translation, although it's done in a more atmospheric way and is interesting in its own way, but it's still garbage.
But Goblin's nonsensical translations are cool, like "The Big Lebowski," I watched something else by him, but I don't remember what.
Except the ones we've made
