If you don't play the campaign, you can select an option in the settings of the Heroes games that allows you to edit the alliances on the map before each game... I don't know, usually if something is lacking, for example, money or a resource, and your AI ally has a lot of it, you just reduce its amount to zero and skip your turn. For example, if you need money, wait until the seventh day (if you go before it) and buy troops with all your money – the AI should send something. I don't know any other ways to get something from an AI ally.

A lot depends on the AI type... What type? Well, it can be a warrior or an explorer... That is, there are types where it conserves resources and will always help you... And there are types where the AI trades resources to buy everything... And then it simply has no resources, not only to give to you, but also to continue building itself... It's very easy to understand this by looking at what the AI has built in its castle... If it's your ally and you can see its buildings, you can get an idea of the AI's "intelligence" ))) The "intelligence" part is a joke ))) In this regard, I suggest you just test it... The question is clear and understandable, but unfortunately, I don't know the answer either, although it bothers me too...

Based on my experience, you can’t directly force it to give you something (I checked in the disassembler). But the AI seems to monitor all resources. I’ve often noticed that when there’s a shortage of a particular resource, depending on the settings, the map, and the resources it has, it sends exactly what’s missing or what it deems necessary.
P.S.: You could reverse engineer/modify a patch to make it do what you want, but IMO, that’s not necessary.
