Well, this is a top-notch map. Thank you. I played through it with the Sylvan faction, but fairly (without using DD, I defeated the Sylvan and Titan creatures before reaching the blue tent). Has no one else played through it without DD? Otherwise, how could they not have noticed the critical bug – it’s impossible to walk to the red tent because of the trees. I had to crouch once to get in there(just to enter that area. I hope the author understands Ukrainian
because I really want to sincerely thank him for the immersive experience. I’ve been playing Heroes 2 for about 15 years, and I only remember feeling this way in my early childhood.
I finally finished watching your playthrough – thank you for the video review. It's very interesting from the perspective of testing the map (there weren't many testers):
1. The main twist (that I had in mind) somehow went unnoticed by you – none of the hidden Nazgûl managed to escape the islands (the idea was that they, all four of them, would gradually emerge and pose a significant threat), which is quite disappointing. In other playthroughs and reviews, this was one of the highlights of the plot. Perhaps this is related to the reworked AI, or you were just lucky.
2. I noticed some flaws in the placement of objects, etc. – I will fix them.
3. What do you think about the periodic resource drain? Is it too harsh? Do you have any thoughts on this?
4. Regarding the neutrals – in the original version, they don't grow this quickly (the maximum number is 4000 – after that, their growth stops); this seems to be a "feature" of this version of the game.
5. I think I should still adjust the armies of the final bosses, although the original idea was that the player would only start eliminating them after "clearing" the entire map and collecting the main artifacts (Anduran's Shield and other max-boost items), since the map was intended for maximum (lore-based) exploration. Perhaps the strength should be reduced by about 30%, or do you have another suggestion?
And any other thoughts on improving the scenario as a whole are also welcome.
I'm really looking forward to the map editor, which would expand the extremely limited functionality of the original version.

Regarding the map editor, the authors of fheroes 2 promise to create their own over time, but it will have a special format, and the maps created in it will only be launched through fheroes2.
I would like to ask a question that is slightly off-topic. I saw a map called "Silmarillion Alt" on one of the websites, but unfortunately, it was in English. Are you the author of it? 🙂
No, I only made this map related to Heroes 2 and Tolkien's lore.

Title: Middle-earth T.E. (Third Age)
Map name: MIDERTH3AGE.MX2
Number of players: 6 (1 player, 5 AI)
Size: XL
Difficulty: Expert
Map author: S.D.
Map description: The Third Age of Middle-earth invites you to join the legendary battle for the One Ring...
Author's note: To enhance the experience and immerse yourself more deeply in the atmosphere of the adventure based on Tolkien's work, it is recommended:
1. To familiarize yourself with the map of Middle-earth. (The author created his "work" based on this material): https://tolkienists.ru/photo/6-0-432-3?1527586693
2. If possible, avoid using the "Dimension Door" spell to overcome barrier doors and inaccessible areas (or use it only as a last resort).
3. To enhance the atmosphere, pay attention to rumors from the tavern, read signs and location and city names. And before starting the game, watch the video The Lord of the Rings • May It Be • Enya https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJVxEaGrHS4

Hello, S.D., the map is GREAT, but it is almost impossible to complete (I downloaded version 1.1) without the "Dimension Door" spell, because there is no passage to the red tent in that location - see the attached files. It just so happened that during my playthrough, I didn't get the "Dimension Door" spell in any of the castles...
Well, ABS, I'm very sorry that your playthrough turned out this way, and unfortunately, you're the first one to encounter this bug. It's quite rare not to find a "dimensional door" in any of the castles. During the test playthrough, I asked not to use the door to overcome closed areas, but I didn't prohibit using it to shorten the path; apparently, that's why this map flaw wasn't detected. I apologize for ruining your game. You probably won't replay it, but I've still fixed it in version 1.2 for anyone else.
