Isn't generating random elements to suit your needs a form of cheating?
Hello everyone! And while everyone's distracted, I've started a Walkthrough of this Chinese map.
The pros: challenging battles (not like the Moon map), which are very similar to the first two weeks of Xiedu, where you need to break through everyone with cavalry and a tent, which forces you to think.
I planned to get the Moon into a boat on day 123. BUT, damn it, Iki-Bastus! The Conservatory turned out to be a level 1 building, with only one angel! :(
I've played author-made maps before, and I understand that a good starting save is important, but come on, 1 angel and 12 fairies can't break through archers; they just kill the angel, even following Yaroslav Likhno's strategy, which he kindly posted on YouTube as a Walkthrough of this battle – it doesn't work.... After so many hours of playing, I don't want to repeat this "grind" again just to get 2 or 3 angels in the reserve. Also, since the Conservatory is level 1, the Moon didn't have enough 1200 experience to level up and get the wall strength skill (and she already had 239,500 experience!).
And on Mullich's map, as I understand it, you can put angels in the castle on week 1, but you have to calculate everything. I collected everything except 4 gems (which were taken away by an event on day 116) and 500 gold (which I used to buy archers and level 1 spearmen at the beginning of the week, which was a mistake). So, I had to build cavalry (which is also not bad, but it's not angels, of course).
Looking at the editor, I see that you can continue playing from here, but I don't really want to replay 5-6 hours just to get 2-3-4 angels in the reserve.... Good luck to everyone in completing this difficult map.
P.S. If you have any other tips for the map, please write them down so I don't repeat these mistakes!
I can only add that during difficult battles with the Moon (to save mana) or battles with Mullich and Cutberth with small forces against various enemies, you can periodically switch between HD+ and HD. This changes the terrain and can significantly help in some battles.
And another question: why do we have another hero at the beginning with a bunch of random units, who can learn the boat sinking skill, and who is killed by Gird after a week? What is the purpose of this hero, and should he sink Gird's boats and another neutral one nearby?
I looked, and there are no taverns in the castles, only at the end, where the Necropolis and Inferno have one each, and you can buy heroes, but by that time, better heroes that we have already defeated will appear in the tavern than our starting hero. What do you think?
I didn’t even think about building Angels in week 1; I calmly built Horses. However, in week 2, I built Angels in the castles of both towns. Playing this map is definitely doable, but you need to clearly decipher the author’s intent, because you absolutely cannot afford to slip up. You must always understand what you’re doing and why. I spent a long time staring at the editor and prospector and couldn’t figure out where to get Resurrection at all, but eventually it clicked—I won’t spoil it. But now I’m stuck at another dead end after the guerrilla on Barbarian land.
P.S. If you have any more tips about the map, please write them so we don’t repeat such mistakes!
I can only add that during difficult battles with Luna (to save mana) or battles with Mullich and Cuthbert using small forces against various rabble, you can periodically switch between HD+ and HD and back. This changes the terrain and significantly helps in some battles.
Regarding tips that wouldn’t be major spoilers: Luna should kill the first Necromancer no later than the third week, otherwise he might become unmanageable. I was just a bit too late for the second one and had to fight him with the third week’s growth, which was tough.
Also, I was incredibly lucky—the Griffin Conservatory for the Phoenixes was at max, but I think its other size shouldn’t be critical. I deliberately didn’t touch the second Griffin Conservatory for the Bears, so that Orange wouldn’t show up early. As it was, the Inferno computer broke into my territory in week 4 with an army one and a half times larger than mine, and I had to really strain to crush it without significant losses, with about 100 mana, and without having Resurrection in the spellbook.
And another question: why do we have another hero at the start with legions of various rabble, who can learn Scuttle Boat, and who gets killed by Gird a week later? What’s this hero for, and should he sink Gird’s boats and the nearby neutral one?
I checked—there are no taverns in the castles, only later near the Necromancers and Inferno, I think there’s one each, and you can buy heroes there, but by that time, the tavern will have better heroes we’ve killed rather than our starting one. What do you think?

Also, thank you for the Prospector; I'll take a look.
Observing the open map and seeing how the AI consumes everything in the first 2-3-4 weeks, and then simply has to come to your respawn point, I conclude, as with my experience in Xiedu, that you need to rush on the map. A couple of days or a week give the AI an increasingly larger advantage.
Just like in Xiedu, here we'll get to play as Necromancers. And although, under normal circumstances, playing as Necromancers is considered cheating, on this map, it seems, it won't give any significant advantages.
Here I'm attaching the save of the battle before the archs. If you can beat it and upload the file, I would be very grateful!
Just like in Xiedu, they’ll let us play as Necropolis here. And even though playing as Necropolis in normal conditions is cheating :) on this map it apparently won’t give any advantage at all :)
Based on the posted saves, the map looks surprisingly reasonable, at least the beginning. Compared to the start of that same Metataxer, it looks much more user-friendly despite the Chinese characters (probably only RoseKavalier was able to get through the first week there on his own :) ).
I have no idea what comes next, but there is a certain potential for demonizing :smile51: , which is always curious.
However, the Dragon Utopia areas contain only some junk in terms of artifacts, as most of the good artifacts are banned; I wonder what the point of them is?
But, of course, in such (Chinese, Polish, German) maps, it's very frustrating that a ton of Chinese text just goes unnoticed. There is no strong emotional connection to the author's story, and given the abundance of text, one can assume the story there is impressive, which makes it doubly regrettable. Actually, since we are talking about this, this atmosphere and the ability to perceive it is one of the main reasons for Paragon's popularity in the Russian-speaking community (well, along with powerful PR).
PS Happy New Year to everyone! Wishing you all plenty of morale and luck :)
But the utopias only contain some junk in terms of artifacts, since most good arts are banned; I wonder what the point of them is?
And yes, Happy Holidays to everyone!
As far as I understand, the most exciting battles will be against high-level companions, for example, against Tazar, Mephala, and Nila, level 6424, with legionary troops or those same magic specialists.
It's not quite clear how to counter their defense on this map.
It's not entirely clear how to counter their defense on this map.

With Crag Hack and Gundula?
I'm continuing to play the Chinese map 6424 for Heroes. As it turns out, this map was created under the influence of Xiedu, specifically as a way to implement ideas that didn't get further development from Seazon. The name speaks for itself: each faction seems to have two heroes of level 6424, which we will have to defeat during the scenario (in Xiedu, there was only one such hero, and the battle against him was purely demonstrative). Also, those who played Xiedu will remember the only battle with Luna on that map. Here, the author went all out in this regard, creating a long and engaging path for Luna through neutral units. I decided to record a video of two battles (the second one is very similar to that one from Seazon's map) to remember. Maybe they can attract the attention of visitors to the topic to this map.
On this map, they are our enemies. And in this situation, they wouldn't have been able to help.
