Thanks, Ples, for suggesting how to get rid of this literary, viral pop-up.

On Windows, you can disable various updates and similar unnecessary features. However, it seems you need to disable updates in two different places, otherwise, some people only disable them in one place. I don't remember the details very well anymore.

Morning
Windows 10.

Thanks to Ples for suggesting how to get rid of this literary, viral pop-up.

The same thing happened mid-week, and it was equally annoying.

I simply disabled it by right-clicking on the taskbar. Is there anywhere else I need to disable it, or is that enough?

Be grateful that it doesn't ask you to activate Windows. Revan struggled with that for a whole year.

I've had this on my work computer with Windows 7 for a long time. It's not that I'm suffering a lot, but it's definitely annoying. I don't have a license, but the connection to Microsoft servers doesn't work because of the proxies.

No, I tried all of that first. Maybe these activators just don't work with the retail version (if the difference between the retail and pirated versions is more than just replacing a couple of DLL files).

5. Never order a "latte" in Italy. Never.
I witnessed the bitchiest of bitchy girls order a "latte" at a cafè in English. The barista was confused and tried to understand better what she meant by speaking the only language he knew, Italian. The girl raised her voice and in English said, "Just give me a latte". I giggled to myself, she turned and shot me a piercing, soul crushing glance that only she could produce. Ten seconds later she received her glass of milk, which is exactly what she ordered. Caffe latte, is of course what she was trying to get. I watched her glance up at the barista and storm out, never to be seen again.
