At the very beginning of the game, my save file also weighed 12 MB, but as I progressed, it grew to 17 MB and stopped, no longer being displayed in the game.

I mean that when I started playing as humans, the save file weighed a little less than 9 MB, and after four months with the entire map fully explored, it weighed 13 MB.
