Thank you, I dealt with the stolen caravan. But there's a problem with the artifact. I found 3 ruined human castles on the map. A circle flashes around each castle, and there's a star in it. I place a hero in this circle, and nothing happens...
Have you taken the quest to clear the ruins? If not, then nothing strange is happening. This quest is given by the prophet not far from the initial exit, near the gold-rich abandoned mine.
