The light version is easier only because the neutrals are weakened by 23-56%. In general, for an interesting and moderately challenging game, you should play on Warrior or Veteran. It's better not to even try playing on Hero difficulty if you're not a hardcore player. The surface will be relatively easy, but you'll get swept away in the Dungeon.
