It's not a given that the number 790 refers to asteroids. The meteor shower could simply be part of the description. Also, it would be better to have the player go from the game to Pretoria, and not the other way around.

I provided a solution for both directions, and it works fine. And minor planets are a very good hint for asteroids. In the literary description, it would simply be a meteor shower. But choosing a specific event or person from all that happened in 1790 is quite strange.
