RedHeavenHero, the visual and narrative aspects of your maps and campaigns are very well done. But there is one thing that is very annoying: playing on veteran/hero difficulty makes it almost impossible to complete a map on the first try. This happened on the Ambassador map (when you had to thoroughly explore the map the first time in order to complete it on the second try), and now it is happening in the first mission of the Unicorn Empire campaign. How is the player supposed to know that a necromancer will appear so they can defend the Castle? The enemy hero is quite strong, and you need to prepare for his arrival. How can you guess this when you see the map for the first time? You have to replay it again. As a result, you play knowing everything in advance – you simply methodically prepare for each battle in advance. This kills one of the main components of the game – the interest in exploring the map and getting the emotions from unexpected discoveries on it.
I really want to complete this campaign, but knowing that I will have to replay each map, all the interest simply disappears. And watching a walkthrough of the campaign from Remix is the same as playing it a second time, knowing the entire sequence of events on the map.
What is the point? Maybe I'm missing something? Or should I just choose an easier difficulty and play on that? But that's not interesting either.
