Although, maybe it's only like that in Equilibrium... but we play it and compare based on it.

New here? I'm Roha — want a quick tour?
So, the amulet will always appear on level 4 of magic. There are 4 of them.
By the time you have, say, 10 phoenixes, I'll already have 60 crusaders.
The Devil's amulet of life is good... but it doesn't really save against angels...
I explained about the order.

The artifact of life is good for the Devil... but it doesn't really save him from Angels....
Life thrives on artifacts... that's where its strength lies. Therefore, there will always be artifacts in the Guild.
I explained about Order.
Exactly, the probability of getting the right artifact is 1/4, for Exorcism it's 1/3, and you need both. The total probability is 1/12 - that's not much.
What's wrong with your math? 10 Phoenixes will increase (for estimation) in 5 weeks, 60 Crusaders in 12 (7 weeks difference, and that's without losing Crusaders). Do you think your opponent will put Phoenixes in at the end of 2 months??? No comment.
What do you mean, it didn't save him? n Devils defeat Angels with n increases, clearly and without problems.
You didn't explain anything. In a game against Order, your mage won't last long (Titans, Mages, Djinns), even after Nectar. And the enemy mage will have time to remove everything and add more. Angels will also die very quickly: magic, 1.5x damage from Hobbits, and Titans. And there is no support for fast units.
I think it's more appropriate to discuss the game and its add-ons in the topic about 4 heroes. And Equilibris is just a mod, in which the balance, apparently, was "ruled" by a big fan of Life.

Despite my sympathy for Life, I must note that you might not always get the right amulet, but Life's strength isn't just in amulets.
You're exaggerating; there won't be 60 Crusaders against ten Phoenixes, but there will definitely be 40 (you can start building Crusaders around day 5, of course, depending on the map), and they have two attacks, which is very damaging.
Devils will only attack the hero if they get close, and they'll either run into Crusaders or Pikemen, and in melee combat, Devils are very weak.
As for Order, to make Titans and Hobbits strong, you need to cast Accuracy on them; otherwise, they deal little damage.
And Order's mages are generally useless; they're only good for curses and poisons. There's nothing to be afraid of.
Equilibrium is a large mod that changes more than two expansions combined and strengthens not only Life. Calling it a regular mod is incorrect, IMO.

So, you can build Crusaders on the 3rd day.
At the beginning of the second week, we buy a lord and level up his nobility to level 2.
After that, he rests. The growth rate of Crusaders is 7 per week (I'm talking about the mod).
Life is strong with a General.
Even if you get the wrong amulet, it can help against neutrals.
(For example, Black Dragons guard a super artifact. And instead of an Order amulet, you get a Chaos one. So you can take the artifact).
Life builds quickly and does not require a lot of money.
And to successfully counter mages, you just need to gather an army in a shorter time and go to attack the mages in the 2nd or 3rd week, before they learn powerful spells (I'm talking about small maps).
A small correction:
in the regular version, there will be 6 of them with nobility level 2 by week 6.
Life is cheaper than Order, Chaos, Might, and Nature. I haven't checked Death.
A similar seminary exists in other castles as well (for example, in Haven).
