Also, let's have a prize pool. Maybe the organizer can contribute around 5,000, or we can collect donations.
New here? I'm Roha — want a quick tour?
another prize pool, let the organizer add about 5k.
Great idea! Better in dollars or euros! :smile02:
Well, if there are 16 players, the prize will be decent. But if there are fewer, it will be quite small. For example, if there are 12 players, that's 12,000 – 1st place gets 6,000, 2nd place gets 4,000, and 3rd place gets 2,000.
That's just funny. I doubt there will be a tournament.
Well, it might be funny to you. If you browse the forums, you'll be surprised by the abundance of sponsored tournaments and the size of the prize pools. After all, it's just some Dota.
I'm planning (perhaps not in the very near future) to do two things: firstly, make road blocks stronger than a certain value impossible; and secondly, add the ability to configure a set of minimum quantities of objects of a certain type for a zone in the template, possibly with the ability to adjust their distance from the road.
Perhaps these things will somehow help with balancing, at least they will allow avoiding completely zero yields.
The idea is very good, it's a pity that it's only for Heroes of Might and Magic Online.
At least bring one version to a decent state.
If there are so many innovations in HotA, even simultaneous turns were implemented, why not make balanced random distributions. And regarding Jebus Cross, in the tournament final on XL+U it can easily give out hopeless draws, that's your spectacle. Mirror match, when everything is identical, is boring to play, or when someone tries to micromanage neutrals like a pro, but they get 3 morale in one round and goodbye.
Words of gold. That's exactly what we're doing.
I agree. Why have such a division for online play? At least bring one version to a decent state.
translate to the main or close to it; first, you need to stop deliberately nerfing SoD.
I don't understand how one interferes with the other. If Hota is meant to be the main faction, then why upgrade the Sod, which is supposed to die anyway?
In general, I have time for games now – I’ll participate if there’s enough interest.
P.S. For the 100,500th time, I’m saying that I don’t understand the point of any confrontation regarding the version. I can play and enjoy both HotA, SoD, and WoG. They’re just different games, each interesting in its own way. And in general, “Space Rangers 2” is amazing; if it had a duel multiplayer mode, Heroes would be forgotten :).
In your opinion, what is the ideal prize distribution? If there are 10 participants, should it be 7-2-1? 6-3-1? 8-1.5-0.5?
