The map was created and weighs 51 KB, but it needs editing. After editing, the file weighs 1 KB. I saved it as a new file, overwrote the existing one, changed the name, and tried many other things – the result is 1 KB, and the map is 1 KB.

The "original" is still available. How can I properly save the edited version?

P.S. The original works normally (i.e., the game recognizes and launches it).

The trick is that the original works. And I saved it in the same place as its copies.

Show the archive name and path.

I remember reading somewhere about a solution to this problem...
I don't recall what they suggested, but I'll just say that the issue probably isn't related to the path to the map. In the HoMM 5 Gold Edition editor, any map gets corrupted, regardless of what the map is or where it's located. However, in version 3.0, the editor works fine. I think the problem lies in the editor itself.

Perhaps, MasteR, but I have both Tribes of the East and Hammers of Fate, and also the original Heroes of Might and Magic V, and none of them cause any issues.

I sent the map to a friend. He opened it in the editor and closed it (without making any changes). As a result, the map size was 1 KB. P.S. Both clients downloaded the map from the same source.

Version 3.1. As I understand it, if the editor malfunctions and corrupts maps, you need to create the map in one go.

I also saved the edited map in the editor, both with and without Latin characters, and with only numbers – nothing helps. Moreover, the problem appeared suddenly. Previously, everything was working fine.
If anyone has a solution to this problem, please let me know!

There was a similar problem in version 3.1, but it resolved itself when I didn't set the map to reveal all hero spells and artifacts.
