Following the death of the current praetor of Anhui, the residents of this province were forced to elect a new leader – once again, prematurely. As a reminder, Praetor Kim Ji Choi died of cancer, and Praetor Shin Si Yeon was shot dead. Kim Soo-jung became the third praetor of Anhui.

The Avarice Group was declared responsible for organizing the murder of Shin Si Yeon. All its members who were in Anhui were either shot by law enforcement officers while resisting or are currently in prison. Marcus Atilius Titianus could not be apprehended, and his whereabouts remain unknown; during the struggle for his freedom, the organization's leader killed seven police officers and wounded five more.

In the first hour of the night, the founder, first consul, and father of the nation of the Federal Republic of Rex Ventorum was shot in his own residence. According to an expert ballistics analysis, the single shot fired at the consul was from a VHI Celer-10 pistol with custom modifications. The shooter used a silencer.
Lucius Cornelius Scipio received a head wound, but, fortunately, he managed to avoid actual death: the bullet got stuck in his skull, but did not damage his brain; doctors were able to remove it, and now the consul's life is out of danger. Unfortunately, according to his attending physician's report, Lucius Cornelius Scipio will never regain consciousness. The question of whether or not to disconnect the young consul from artificial life support remains open.
The main suspect in this case is Letitia, who served under the former commander-in-chief of the FRRV. Upon arrival of the police and paramedics, the girl was found on the ground beneath the consul's apartment; during these events, for some reason, she fell out of the window and broke her spine. Letitia is currently in the federal hospital; the girl refuses to say anything.

The Senate is considering the issue of appointing a new consul ahead of schedule. It was assumed that after these events, Decimus Julius Sulla would be chosen as the new leader of the country, but the contents of the will left by the consul slightly changed things. You see, we could ignore the second problem, solve the first, and the second would resolve itself. But at the very least, the first problem is solved at the state level over decades, while the second is solved at the school level in a month. And your suggestion to "look at the root cause" won't help a child who is being bullied because of their clothes. They will have already finished school by the time you eradicate poverty.
