Mafia 86. Heroes of lard Auto-translated

The situation there is such that any fantasy game pales in comparison. And articles about the 200th Russian invasion would make even Tolkien and Rowling envious.

I already asked the moderators a few days ago to remove the set, but there has been no reaction from them. Are sets based on games also not welcome?

Are sets based on the games also not allowed?

Unless it's fantasy...

Has there ever been a Mafia-style game based on Heroes?

No.

Did no one think of holding one, or did people just not want to participate?

I once thought about creating a setting based on the "Heroes" games, but then I decided that there are already too many "Heroes" on the forum dedicated to the games, and people have enough heroes in their lives without needing a mafia-themed version.

I don't know, I haven't played Heroes for quite a while (no time), but I would play Mafia. I love the world of Might and Magic, although I'm generally very selective about fantasy.

I was thinking about another set about a mental hospital, just a regular one, a Russian one, with all its realities... But then I came across Mafia 32, so I probably shouldn't repeat myself.

The 32nd is the best of the mafias, a treasure of HeroesWorld for all time. A monument to the times when the mafia was still fun.

Maybe someone has thought about a Heroes-themed online game, but they probably haven't decided on the setting, roles, plot, NPCs, etc.
I might even play it, but only for the first four parts, because the fifth one probably won't be well-made, and they'll just post ugly screenshots from the game.
In general, it's better to come up with your own setting than to copy it from somewhere, even if it ends up being similar to another one.

And if we were to create a set based on the heroes, I think it would be most successful if it were based on Heroes of Might and Magic III, because the heroes there have specializations and are quite diverse, unlike, for example, Heroes of Might and Magic V.

I would consider it from the perspective of the plot, rather than specializations. And from the perspective of the plot, there is potential in the second game (the war for the legacy), the third game (the intrigues of the Necromancers), and the fourth game. If we are talking about role-playing games within the setting, then the Castor conspiracy, with the inhabitants of Dey and Archibald in the form of the city, would be a good fit.

The fifth game is good, what are you talking about, it's on par with the third.

on par with the third game.

Go write that in the forum.

The plot is terrible. The world is rather bland. In previous installments, there was still an interesting blend of fantasy and sci-fi (even if the latter only appeared in the role-playing games of the series), while Ashen turned out to be a stereotypical fantasy setting. It's bad because it doesn't really stand out from the crowd of other fantasy worlds. But the gameplay in the fifth installment is good, yes. If only they had made it in 2D, and also added an interesting world and campaign...
