Posts from Tactics against Necromancers.

This is mainly a place where people gather who want to improve their gameplay, so I'd like to see fewer posts about tactics for playing as Solmyr or Malekith, especially those involving early Capitol construction.

A purely theoretical argument:
If a Necromancer has neither "Alliance of Angels" nor "Might of the Dragon Lords" and has a huge army of skeletons, not liches (from the "King's Robe"), then two artifacts working in tandem should be very effective against him: "Sphere of Inhibition" and "Armor of the Damned." All of his already slow troops will be slowed down even further (expert level is preferable, of course), and he won't be able to remove the effect or cast any spells at all. If a warrior with high attack power (can be without defense, magic power, knowledge, or even a spellbook) and many archers is fighting the Necromancer, he will shoot down the slowed liches in the first turn, weaken them with archers in the second or third turn, and finish off the fast units with melee troops, and in subsequent turns, he can calmly shoot down the very slow skeletons (running away from them if necessary), even if there are seventy thousand of them.

Suggest simpler options yourself, and we'll discuss them.

Is that all? And can you specify the damage in hit points, how much damage are you going to deal with an explosion in one turn,

if there are fifty thousand skeletons in the stack?

Leveling up direct damage magic is the most standard solution for newbies,

but the larger the army size in battle, the less effective it is, besides, it is well blocked by magic resistance and artifacts.

After the explosion, legions of skeletons will become just an ordinary bunch.

Noobs have "the most standard solution" – they use their games against the computer as an argument. And from your posts, it's clear that you DON'T play against people. Because where have you seen a stack of 50,000 skeletons? Only against the computer.

All of his already slow troops will be slowed down (expert is better, of course), and he won't be able to remove it or use any magic at all.

...to instantly destroy 1000 skeletons with an explosion, you need a magic power of 76!...
