The idea arose to divide the Mafia section into two sub-sections: one for regular games that are typical for our forum (i.e., with clues), and another for psychological Mafia, an example of which is game number 22, Corpus Delicti. In my opinion, both types of games are interesting, but they differ somewhat. In our usual games, the main gameplay elements are searching for clues (essentially) and analyzing the newspaper; in addition, settings with a large number of night actions and unique role abilities have become commonplace, which adds some complexity to the games. Many people say that it would sometimes be good to hold more "lightweight" games, and psychological Mafia can be seen as a counterpoint to this. As the name suggests, the main element of the game is psychology. The settings are simpler and represent less of a burden for both the GM and the players. The GM does not need to come up with clues, and the literary description of events is optional. Thus, by having two gaming sections for different types of games, each player will be able to get what they want. If he wants to play a complex setting with clues, a large number of night actions, and unique role abilities, he plays in one section. If he wants to take a break from complex games, he plays in the second. And if he has enough time and interest, he can play in both games at once. Based on the results of the poll, we can determine whether this is necessary. Also, please note that if you vote in support of this idea, providing an argument for your vote is not required, since you agree with what has already been written. But in case of disagreement, objective reasons must be indicated.
What's the point of separating them? If two different mafia-style events are held simultaneously in one section, it's not a new thing; it's happened before. Why hold one in a different section?
Don't you think that might be a bit inconvenient? Especially considering that different games have different rules and features, which leads to different discussions. Wouldn't it create confusion in the section if the proposed settings, post-game discussions, and the order of games were all in the same threads?
Actually, I don't think so. Since the two current factions are always at the top of the list, and if we can somehow reflect their type in the name, then everything should be fine. And what do you think about the sequence of games? Should we introduce a separate numbering system for factions of a different type?
Should we introduce separate numbering for different types of mafia games?
Undoubtedly. I assume that psychological mafia games will be somewhat shorter in duration than our usual games. It would be a bit strange if we were playing a long game, say game 41 with clues, while games 43 or 44 (psychological) are already being played. But these are minor details. In any case, the games are different, and mixing them is just as inappropriate as mixing themes with tournaments for the fifth and third installments of the game. By the way, I was also thinking about introducing game statistics for the mafia games. Previously, there was an idea for regular games, but I don't think I or anyone else will have the patience to recount forty games.
Based on experience, I can say that simplified Mafia games without clues usually result in low activity and sluggish discussion in the forums. (Well, you can try, but it's unlikely to be very successful.)
The sluggish discussion about newspapers is caused by the limited amount of information in the newspapers themselves; however, the amount of discussion during the day is no less, and sometimes even greater.
But this is just a specific case of a regular Mafia game. That is, it is possible to divide it, but individual Mafia games with evidence will hardly differ from those without it (like the last Visa). Plus, as I understand it, the division is intended so that it would be possible to play in parallel, but our modest experience with such games suggests that this is not the best idea. If the games are sequential, then again, the point of the division is unclear. And the main question is: how many people will want to participate in such games, and how many will want to run them? It seems to me that, given the choice, most people will prefer the classic Mafia game.

That's not entirely true.
Individual Mafia games with clues will hardly differ from those without clues (like the last Vis).
Did you read the example given in the first post of the thread (although, I can't be sure that all aspects of this type of game were used there, but the main idea is clear)? These are completely different games, differing in more than just the presence or absence of clues.
It is intended so that it can be played in parallel, but our modest experience with such games suggests that this is not the best idea.
Why?
And the main question: how many people will want to participate in such games, and how many will want to run them? I think that, given the choice, most people will prefer the classic Mafia game.
We won't know unless we try. On a neighboring portal about Heroes, for example, they only play the psychological version of Mafia. You can ask Neyra, Vervolki, Cash, and the others who have played or are playing there. I don't think they would play there if they didn't like it.
The psychological aspect has become tiresome, so I will refrain from voting. But when you create a separate section for it (which is obvious, as there are at least a few more votes from Jack, Toria, and maybe Mona), I will be able to help with the rules, roles, and other text.
Hos, Jack was a noob, and he will remain one. :D Besides, he himself said that the forum mafia, even the psychological one, is not something he enjoys.
