Even with the most complex neutral creatures, it's easier to cope than with an average player, provided you assess the situation adequately.

Romich, you don't necessarily need a ranged unit for this; you can use a griffin or a fake unit instead... unless, of course, you're specifically talking about a battle against Valkyrie, who has marks with a speed of 8.
I think the neutral creatures will be more likely to attack a ranged unit. Or is that not what you meant?

Zhenya, the point is that a two-cell griffin + an archer works even better.
There's also another strategy specifically for War of the Titans. Changing the archer mod to melee attack changes their value for stompers.
Sometimes, it's harder to properly protect the ranged units in the lower row and the main stack with level 1 units, as the lower units hinder the movement of the upper ones. Rampart is a prime example of this.
It's usually easier to lure neutral "topters" downwards, as the upper units hinder the movement of the lower ones, and overall, they crawl slower.
I'm sure it's easier to maneuver ranged units when they're positioned above. My experience confirms this.
I saw a very cool move from Alex - for example, when defending a castle, separate a level 1 unit from the ranged unit so that it's easier to move the "topters."
