New here? I'm Roha — want a quick tour?
Hello!
I have a question about HoMM 3.
I'm playing on a laptop with an integrated video card (Intel GMA X3100), which doesn't have the option to enable vertical synchronization (vsync). Is there any way to enable vertical synchronization in the game itself (by adding it somewhere in the config files or something else)? It's just very annoying when the image "flickers/tears" when the hero moves around the map, and my eyes get tired quickly. If I play on a video card that supports vsync, there is no flickering.
In HoMM 5, for example, you can add the vsync option to the user's config file, and the image in the game stops flickering/tearing when the hero moves and the camera rotates.
Thank you in advance!
I would like to ask a couple of questions:
Basically, I know almost everything about the game that needs to be known.

4) When building "pro" chains, are 100% chains used (i.e., a large number of heroes that can reach the destination in exactly 1 turn? Or in a couple of turns, but not with many heroes)? It's a pity to spend 2.5 units for each day of distance from the castle.

I am in Germany, and I can't play with players in Russia or Ukraine. I can't find them, and they can't find me... What should I do? I really want to play Heroes!!!

I spent half a day browsing the forum and didn't find what I needed. I have 2 computers in different rooms in the same apartment, connected to the internet via a router. One has Windows XP, the other has Windows 7. Now, the question is, how can I play Heroes between these two computers?

To play against each other on two computers in the same apartment, you don't need the internet at all.
You need to connect the two computers with a cable (at least that's how I used to play). The cable was connected from the modem, and in the settings, something was configured on the computer, and that's it. We played normally.
