Not a very good movie. Nothing special.

in my humble opinion, it's a terrible movie. It wasted an hour and a half of my life. Although, in principle, I gained even more time, about a week, because I kept laughing throughout the viewing at this awful piece of work.
"I feel bad without my rock!"
and so on. Such a silly laugh. We watched it first with a friend, then I watched it alone. In the first case, I kept making toilet jokes and laughing at them myself. My friend sincerely wanted to "introduce me to something great." Haha. He even read these books, succumbing to the general hysteria surrounding the esteemed writer-drug addict.

Hmm... I liked the movie because it had dragons! And dragons are everything to us! Plus, the plot is pretty decent, definitely better than those Uwe Boll movies. Just show me a movie that's no more than two years old, and I'll point out a ton of scenes that were ripped off from older films. Yes, you can see "The Lord of the Rings" in almost every minute, but... dragons!

but in general, the point is that even a completely derivative film in terms of ideas can be made good and interesting, which is not what I see in "Eragon".

ps I don't understand why everyone is so obsessed with dragons. I've never liked them.

It's interesting and well-made. The landscapes are amazing... you could enjoy them separately from the film. Just one of the Dark Elves (if I'm not mistaken) is worth watching the film for.

P.S. Who else likes them? I've always liked them.

Darza is perhaps a truly interesting character, while the others are just mediocre. The main character is uninspiring... he doesn't associate with a brave warrior at all. The dragon is, in my opinion, terrible. Okay, let him breathe ice and fire at the same time, but why does he have BIRD wings?!

P.S. The plot is primitive.

No, I meant that the scenery deserves admiration on its own. And everything together is quite good.

And why shouldn't a dragon have bird-like wings?:) And Eragon is already quite good.
Nobody wants absolute clichés, but everyone is unhappy when they deviate from them even by a millimeter. :)

The plot isn't that primitive. The basis might be, but overall...

So... not a top-tier movie. It's only worth watching so that when someone asks if you've seen Eragon, you can answer with a bored expression and a gruff tone: "Yes, I have." As for me, I had no desire to watch this movie because I prefer wolves =Ъ.

Well... maybe there are many similar books, but there are very few fantasy movies... very few good, high-quality ones!! So, as a movie, I give it an average rating, comparing it to other fantasy movies (especially Lord of the Rings)... but if you judge it by all genres, it's slightly above average, because fantasy is my favorite genre, and the quality isn't bad... and also because there are few good fantasy movies) IMHO..... Although there are better plots, for some unknown reason, directors choose these kinds of plots (usually).
I liked the feature in the movie with arrows charged with magic, which is common in games, maybe in many books, but in the movie, it's new)).

Okay, so something about "Eragon".
At first, when I heard the title, I thought it was about that guy from Star Wars... uh... Lord of the Rings, anyway, the one from LOTR who's my favorite character, Aragorn (I think that's how it's spelled)... Well, I watched the movie to the end (watched it on DVD)... and thought, "And I'm supposed to wait for the second part of this nonsense? Yeah, right."
The movie is good for:
1. Children.
2. People who are fans of fantasy. x)
3. Those who like to make fun of it. xD

Yes. Of course, it will be "understandable" to children, as the basic plot doesn't really require much knowledge. It's very good for children (:) ) as a first step in exploring fantasy. But, I'm getting at the fact that this guy could have come up with something more interesting and less cliché. Although the idea isn't bad, it just needed to be presented better, for example, by having the main character or the dragon die, or someone else from the good and main characters, or by making it so that the main villain survives, so that this kid has to fight him for a long time, while also showing the essence of the book. Apparently, this kid, although he has a good imagination, finds it difficult to convey the whole essence, or maybe he just hasn't had any fresh, interesting ideas yet, and he just rushed, so it's not clear...
