250 gold still makes a big difference. But what makes Sinithar so great? He uses less mana... so what? Even Irbeth's ritual provides a significant amount of extra mana, so what's the difference?

And what if you need to go somewhere and eliminate someone, but you're low on mana, and the next day they'll capture your Castle? You need Sinistar.

Kifira is good at the start, and extra money never hurts anyone. After all, she comes with the Treasury skill. The mine guards are good at clearing out enemies (if the guards aren't ranged units).
Kifira is simply terrible at the start; she'll still have to buy harpies, and those few minotaurs will never be deployed on the battlefield.
But you can take her primarily for the famous 250 coins and buy a decent hero in the tavern.

I like Waishan and Leto the most. Waishan because it's easy to start with him and kill neutrals, as he gets more scouting skills at the beginning than other heroes, and Leto because of his poison ability, especially if the hero is level 15 or higher, then his poison can affect all troops:smile54:

It's perfect for performing rituals quickly when needed, and it also provides extra mana.

And Kifrah is not bad at the start; those six to nine minotaurs can also be helpful. Plus, the 250 blessed gold you get. You can use that to buy a second hero and create a decent army.

I only played with one hero when I was a kid :) in Heroes of Might and Magic III, II, and IV...
Those six to nine Minotaurs can also help.
How? Melee units get taken down by Furies, and ranged and magic users get taken down by Griffins and magic.
Six to nine Minotaurs won't even make it to the end, and they'll get crushed by melee units.
I don't see any effectiveness in that kind of help.

I would gladly take Erin with a coven of witches, but I usually upgrade the witches to Night Hags, and they don't shoot.

Even though Raialgom can be used in campaigns, with proper development, he becomes incredibly powerful! Letos is not bad; he doesn't lag far behind Raialgom, but he still falls short!!!

Raelag in a party is best leveled up to 40-45; after that, it doesn't really matter... regardless of how you level him up. But overall, he is really good. -20 initiative to the enemy:cool: +20 to himself:cool: - that's too much. Any hero loses to Raelag.

In my opinion, discussing campaign heroes isn't interesting because they are always stronger than regular heroes and aren't available in multiplayer.
Raelag is strong regardless of his build due to his specialty. I think his ability is the coolest among all campaign heroes.

I like Shadia's ability – Dancing in the Twilight. And her specialization isn't overpowered. It's a shame she's not in the multiplayer mode; I would choose her.

Lethos, with his dark magic, is weak in the early levels, but once you upgrade him, his ability to poison simply wipes out almost half of the enemy's dangerous units. It's quite effective!

IMHO, Waisan is more versatile. Leto's specialization is useless if you have to fight against Necropolis in the final stage.

I prefer Waishan:smile20:. I also play as Lethos and Erin.
