And if they had cut out all this unnecessary stuff, who knows, maybe they could have finished the film and released it as a complete product, instead of leaving it with a "To be continued..." It would have been nice.

In short, if you're not a die-hard Spider-Man fan like me, I'd probably advise you to skip this one... The previous installment was great, but this one... unfortunately, it's not.

Quite a powerful piece. When I started watching and saw the three-hour timer, I thought it would be heavily dragged out, but no, all three hours fly by at a breakneck pace. At some point I even thought I'd accidentally messed up the player settings and it was playing at x1.5 speed, plus people were talking insanely fast, practically in a tongue-twister manner.
On one hand, the time and place are chosen excellently, a very romantic setting. On the other, the themes touched upon are also topical — in the detective part there are grim conclusions about humanity, and in those grim conclusions scientists are stewing, people who just wanted the Germans not to take over the world, but it turned out somewhat differently... My recommendation is strictly positive, Nolan hasn't lost his touch.

A well-deserved 7.6 on IMDb, the rating on Kinopoisk is slightly lower, probably due to the terrible dubbing. If the description seems good, you can safely watch it.

Watched Chip 'n Dale, the episode about the ruby. It was funny. There was this robot with a laser, and I remember being really into it as a kid, but now it seems a bit weird. And Fatso's dad has some great jokes. The only thing that bothered me was the high-pitched squeaking of the chipmunks and Gadget. Also watched a bit of Tom and Jerry. But that's really retro, and the quality is terrible.

And, frankly, my opinion hasn't changed; I just occasionally come across discussions about this film, so I had to watch it to avoid feeling confused and irritated by discussions about something I don't know about. It's clear that in some places they tried to play everything ironically, but these attempts still feel weak and desperate, like an actor who comes on stage, realizes that he can't pull off the act, and tries to make understanding jokes about it in places. On the other hand, as I said, the second and third parts weren't much better, but they were presented with the utmost seriousness and with a filter that had become tiresome by that time. So, it's good enough to watch with a beer. And if anyone is interested in the plot but doesn't want to spend time watching it or even reading Wikipedia, the machines resurrected Neo and Trinity and put them back into the Matrix. Some of the machines switched sides and joined the humans. 60 years have passed. Neo and Trinity woke up after a long imprisonment and now they can fly and do all sorts of crazy things in the Matrix. And that's what they'll do. In my opinion, this plot is an answer to many viewers who thought that the ending of the original trilogy was too dark, as if the machines weren't allowed to win, and Neo and Trinity died. Well, now you get it.

Personally, I think the film turned out to be pretty much what I expected. It had a couple of decent ideas that you could say were "okay" – Neil Patrick Harris is good in the role of the architect, and the concept of a therapist trying to bring back a guy (not necessarily Neo) who has realized he's in the Matrix, as if it were all a dream and didn't happen, is quite interesting. Especially considering films like "All Fears of Bo" and "Father," which offer a fascinating depiction of how people with mental disorders perceive the world.
Otherwise, it's just a film made solely for profit, and even then, the studio would have released it with either the original cast or without. Perhaps they should have focused on other characters from the universe and told a different story, similar to those in "Animatrix," but we got what we got.
