The best thing you can get from them is the pills.

I feel like the tolerance-and-acceptance advice generally works; otherwise, statistics on certain things would be 20 times higher. Another thing is that it doesn't help everyone.
It's a real shame that it works. Without it, there would be less worthless, unwanted human trash. We wouldn't have to live in a multi-apartment shithole. Or they wouldn't have appeared at all, which would be even better.
Everything listed also relates to traumatic factors that need to be dealt with.
When you start tackling your "demons," you have to catch every single one with a specialist, and then work through them. If you leave out any missed details—it's game over.
Because often everything starts with shit from childhood, and then it snowballs. And the kind of bullshit like "being unable to achieve the desired" is also solved by a deep analysis of why it's not working. And as a rule, it's not about superficial problems like "no money" and "mom didn't let me" (although that doesn't make them non-traumatic to the psyche)...
Besides, why did the plane crash? WHO GIVES A FUCK, EVERYONE IS ALREADY DEAD, IT WON'T HELP THEM! But in the case of a plane, you can at least figure out the design flaws, etc., and fix them in the future. With a person, it won't work like that. Because there are too many factors that trigger on one day and not on another. It's all just fucking random.
However, I will not deny the fact that something needs to change if the finances are unsatisfactory. But here too, first you need to figure yourself out, then either take some training, or fuck around with interviews until you win. And sooner or later, some result will come.
I'm fucking tired of doing something for several years and getting almost absolutely no good things that would make me even slightly happy. One hand's fingers would be enough to count these joys. Over 5 pissed-on years. Normal people are happy about something at least once a month. Not once a year. For a few hours. What fucking great motivation to keep doing something, just total bullshit.
Oh, this universal injustice really pisses me off sometimes. And while everything is fine with those who achieved the desired through effort, those whose parents/acquaintances provide everything—sometimes I want to wish them testicular cancer. Though, not so much them, but the lucky ones of this fucking vicious system, where the desired position, first place in a contest, and so on are given not to the one who deserved it, but to some brother/relative/child of friends and so on down the list.
And while everything is fine with those who achieved the desired through effort.
So why not get [help]? They help many people.

I don't really want to get into them.

What do you have to lose?...

Don't you realize, Sky, that not only your mood depends on your successes in life, but also vice versa?

The last vestiges of dignity and self-respect?
Where do we end up when we save the world?
Of course, that's why it's a vicious cycle.
Guys, I'm not Heaven, but your advice sounds like this:
Well, except for the things related to taking pills, but that's a personal matter.

Then read the article I posted because right now, 100% of what you're saying correlates with it.

Let me guess, did everything work out for the author, and did they feel better?))

You didn't even read the synopsis that I quoted. The author directly writes what you know, and what I knew from the very beginning of the conversation – that this cannot be cured with idle talk and autotraining, and many other things in the same vein. But you, ugh, are D'Artagnan, and all the others are disgusting "lifers," and only you know how to properly experience depression.

This is due not only to personal traumas, not only to the feeling of post-history and the end of everything, not only to the many times increased number of people around you, real or online (and as a result – the feeling of less significance of both yourself and other people), not only to the widespread digitalization and the huge amount of information – advertising, news, constant scrolling – that pours into a person's brain every day, unable to process even 10 percent of this material.

This is also related to the narcissization of society as a whole. Those who have read a little about narcissistic personality disorder know that, in very rough terms, this disorder is built on a huge number of social masks, behind which the personality, the core, self-awareness, never develops.
A person with narcissistic personality disorder, in essence, instead of presenting their true self to society, presents masks that evoke a qualitative, evaluative reaction from the surrounding world, but behind these masks, the real personality of the person either does not develop or degrades to complete zero. People with this pathology, often being successful and high-quality as a function, experience extreme emptiness inside themselves.
When you diligently hide your true self from others for decades, in the end, you yourself forget where you put yourself.
You say that working on one's psyche is unproven nonsense, etc. I'm not going to argue that psychology is a difficult science to prove. But psychiatry is somewhat different, because at least there are medical clinical studies of brain impulses in certain situations. True, my knowledge in the field of these studies is very limited, because we studied psychology more as a branch of the educational process, and only touched on medical issues superficially. Although, if I hadn't slacked off in some classes, I might have known more, because some of our subjects were taught by a psychiatrist with real practice and a wealth of knowledge. But I didn't care much then... :(
There's really no point in seeking help from a psychologist. But accepting the fact that there's some kind of mess in your head (hello to the hatred of those who achieve everything through hard work and the unwillingness to realize that it's more about your subjective perception of them) and actually turning to psychiatry and medication, which you're afraid of becoming addicted to, would be a good idea.
And yes, I'll note that the degree of cynicism towards more successful people was indeed a defense mechanism against one's own self-destruction. But I still don't quite understand and share your dislike for those who have achieved everything on their own.
Indeed, boasting about being very successful because you've done a lot and gotten lucky isn't exactly okay, and it comes across as an attempt to put yourself above others. These people also need a certain kind of help, because it's an obvious sublimation of insecurity and an attempt to assert themselves at the expense of others.
But you're wrong to think that people achieve everything only through luck. A lot of people cope despite everything, clearing up a ton of crap on their own, because they have enough willpower (I wouldn't mind being able to not give up until victory...).
Unfortunately, when people boast about their achievements, it's impossible to tell from the outside how much they've actually put into it and what role luck played. Whether it's good to boast is obvious – no, especially if you put yourself above others in the process. Modesty is a virtue, but unfortunately, not all people possess it. However, hating people for overcoming obstacles is just making things worse for yourself.
Yes, yes, if it weren't for the digitalization of society, we would now be working at an iron foundry and wouldn't have any problems, but instead, they watch all these cartoons and then get depressed. Here, it's either only forward or far back.
